Sami Sameer is a multidisciplinary sound artist, raised in Muscat (OM) and currently based in Barcelona. He moved to Barcelona several years ago to study engineering. While in Muscat, his early studies in orchestral and jazz percussion sparked a deep connection to music, driven by a constant need for stimulating sounds. This obsession with unpredictable rhythms and chaotic musical elements laid the foundation for his creative journey. Now deeply involved in Barcelona's vibrant underground scene, Sami uses percussion, production, and DJing to share and experiment with sound. As a DJ, he's making a name with appearances in various underground projects, including Dos Dos Radio, Jokkoo Collective, and Zilzal Platform. His sets are characterized by abrasive and industrial textures, seamlessly traversing genres such as deconstructed club, noise, dubstep, breaks, and ambient, while drawing inspiration from his musical upbringing and his Latinx and Middle Eastern roots.
