Based in Berlin, Egyptian/French DJ, label boss and promoter Rama explores rhythmic layering and genre fluidity, building narratives through a distinctive DJ practice rooted in live mashups. Her sets unfold as dynamic, high-tension journeys, shifting between dense percussion and broken rhythms while maintaining a deep sense of flow. She co-runs irsh with ZULI; a music collective, label, and event series operating at the intersection of club and experimental music, with a focus on artists from Egypt and the surrounding region. On her monthly Rinse France radio show, Rama tends to go for a more introspective sound, and often invites on guests from her community.
