J:DC was immersed in rich club culture from an early age, shaping a refined taste for high-octane yet emotive house, techno, and trance. Born in London, he cut his teeth in the city's vibrant underground scene, playing at renowned venues such as E1, XOYO, Lightbox, and 93 Feet East, while also carving out his own space by promoting a club night in his hometown. A move to Sheffield saw J:DC gravitate towards tougher, raw-edged strains of 4x4 techno and trance, a shift that led to the formation of his duo project, 97/98. It was within this duo that the foundations of Factor 50 were laid—a Sheffield-born party that evolved from intimate house gatherings into a platform championing the city's most exciting emerging talent, hosting events at venues like FORGE and Sidney & Matilda. 2025 marks a new chapter for J:DC, as his artistic evolution continues with a series of independent releases set to further establish his sound and vision.
