Hidden Memory is the project of Venezuelan DJ and producer Emmerson Hernández, active in the underground electronic music scene since the early 2000s and currently based in Amsterdam. His sound moves between techno, UK bass and experimental club music, shaped by Afro-Venezuelan polyrhythms and a strong focus on rhythm and groove. Emerging from Caracas’ early drum & bass and audiovisual scenes, Hernández was involved in projects such as Babylon Motorhome and Simpl3, and was among the first Venezuelan artists to perform at Sónar Barcelona. In 2018, he launched Hidden Memory as a more personal outlet, gaining recognition with releases like the Dark Rhythms EP. His productions and DJ sets are defined by raw percussion, broken structures and a forward-leaning dancefloor approach. Alongside his solo work, he has collaborated with artists including Tomas Urquieta, DJ Babatr and Phran, releasing music on labels such as Klassrecks and Ediciones Villasonora, and producing the first official remix of DJ Babatr’s “To-K” for the TRR label.
