Josh’s versatility sets him on a platform to warm up, headline or close club rooms across the world until the lights come on. A Killer debut single ‘Trip To Medina’ quickly picked up pace and was whipped up by the likes of Groove Armada, Richy Ahmed, Jamie Jones, De La Swing, and Claude Vonstroke to name a few, This stood Josh in a perfect position to be herd by the masses. Dubbed as ‘one to watch’ from IBIZA CLUB NEWS from his summer disco cut on reptile dysfunction, ‘Make You Feel Better’ was next up and was featured by Danny Howard’s weekend weapons on RADIO1 and filled dance floors across Miami Music Week; a perfect tune for them sunshine poolside months of summer. A booking for ULTRA music festival in Miami for MMW with over saw off a successful 2019 then the brighter side of covid saw Josh land gigs at Glastonbury, Cova Santa and his dream gig; Amnesia ibiza. The debut saw him open the famous terrace and then was asked by the man himself Jackmaster to close the room B2B, one gig he’ll never forget! It’s clear to see how he’s gained a lot of international fans and back on home turf he’s played at the UK’s most illustrious spots such as The Warehouse Project, Lab11, Studio 338, Fire & Lightbox, Victoria warehouse, Garage, The White Haus, HIDDEN and most recently nailing down a residency at Liverpools newest underground club ‘THE SPRAY SHOP’. Going back to where he cut his teeth in Preston, he created his own brand ‘SOUNDGROUND’ and held a 3 year residency at Sankeys Manchester in the Spektrum room and ran regular day parties in the summer months that sold out weeks in advance. 2020 was the introduction of is own vinyl only record label ‘Substitute Records’ and is focusing on working with up and coming artists and matching them with established DJ/producers. A period of dedicated and focused studio time see’s ASHOJU into a stacked release schedule for 2024, EP’s forthcoming on ‘FOUR THIRTY TWO’ and ‘UnSoundMind’ along with a 1st release on his own label ‘Substitute Records’ will mean his productions will be heard far and wide throughout the year.
