Theravada (aka THRVD) is a rapper and producer from NYC and a key figure in the underground hip-hop scene. Born Xenophon, he’s known for sample-based production, Moody cerebral flows, and a strong DIY ethos. As co-founder of @2000ent alongside his cousin @rbchmbrs he began as a DJ/producer before fully developing as an MC. His incredible latest album ‘The Years We Have’ alongside his other great projects he blends psychedelic, jazz-inflected production with introspective lyricism. He contributed to the production of Earl Sweatshirt’s latest album and has collaborated with artists such as Evidence, Navy Blue, Armand Hammer, Your Old Droog, Fly Anakin, AKAI SOLO, and Chuck Strangers ao.
