Palms Trax
For aspiring DJs and producers, or indeed anyone who appreciates a good story, the genesis of Palms Trax couldn’t have read any dreamier. You know the one; curious yet naive son of the English Riviera lands a job at one of London’s leading record stores and discovers the masters of Chicago house and Detroit techno. Later, stumbling around Berlin, his primitive attempts to emulate the sound of his newfound heroes accidentally land him a bona fide dance floor hit. A gradual but steady stream of EPs courtesy of Dutch dance music powerhouse Dekmantel have allowed his productions to blossom in richer, smoother directions. On 2015’s ‘In Gold’ EP, and throughout the following year’s ‘High Point on Low Ground’, halcyon hallmarks of house - euphoric piano lines, bubbling acid and luminescent keys - are shot through with Donaldson’s tough, distinctive percussion. It’s that same connection with Dekmantel that has encouraged Donaldson to quickly, impressively evolve as a DJ of some distinctive taste and talent. A memorable performance at Dekmantel’s flagship Amsterdam festival in 2015 captured open hearts, lost minds and aching feet. Since then, the sound of Palms Trax has been a fixture on their enormous main stage, drifting seamlessly between vintage house, esoteric disco and the various shades of a bubbling UK underground he has helped define. Occasional back-to-back performances with the likes of Hunee, Young Marco, Antal and Midland, all DJs regularly credited for their breadth of musical knowledge and sheer versatility, speak volumes for Donaldson’s DJing nous, which has lead him on an international trail; from South America to Australia, and from Panorama Bar to Concrete, Contact, De School, and Lux. Donaldson has also-amassed a patient, open-minded following with his cult monthly radio show, the decidedly less-than-culinary ‘Cooking with Palms Trax’, broadcast on Berlin Community Radio since 2015. On each show, Donaldson takes a deep, vinyl-led drive into his adopted history, fostering a level of trust and shared curiosity that has allowed him to helm all-night sets under the ‘Cooking with Palms Trax’ moniker. Into 2018, he’ll be holding down residencies in Boston, Glasgow and Bordeaux, as well as inviting like-minded DJs into his metaphorical kitchen, throughout a series of self-curated evenings into early mornings of music.

Tia Cousins
Owning records is easy, playing them, easier. Reading a room, knowing what lands, stitching tracks into something that moves a crowd - that's where the craft separates itself from the collection. The tapestry of becoming a real DJ is an art form few truly master. Step forth, Tia Cousins, London-based selector, radio broadcaster, and self-proclaimed BoG Witch who has made a name for herself by digging through the cracks others overlook. In an era drowning in information, she's carved out a niche collecting the in-between sounds - experimental gear, obscure niches, the old and the new - amassing a collection of music that frankly shouldn't belong to someone her age. It's one that has won her plenty of recognition in all the right circles, from NTS to Balamii, the Tate Gallery to Brilliant Corners. Tia's extensive knowledge threads together EBM, Italo, Techno, Synth-Pop, Post-punk and House, leaving no stone unturned. Learning to DJ in her university bedroom after a friend left their decks behind, she's refined her approach over the years: finding moments of silence to transition, and keeping things simple with minimal effects. These dizzyingly eclectic yet well-sequenced selections have turned heads on radio stations around the world, most recently landing her a monthly residency on Bristol's Noods Radio. Her well-curated radio shows have become a calling card - a space for music she actually wants to listen to at home, rather than the usual ‘club’ fare. Reaching deep into jazz, krautrock, ambient, and the experimental fringes that keep dancefloors guessing, she's also cleared a few floors in her time, "I quite like doing that - filtering out the crowd so that only those who are vibing remain." Tia's also turned her unique ears to A&R, heading up the musical direction for the Ransom Note's record label, as well as co-parenting the ambient and plant cassette label Music To Watch Seeds Grow By. Born from a sober stint spent hyperfixating on gardening and sprouting seeds, the cassette label pairs ambient music with the slow, mindful art of horticulture. The past couple of years have been huge for the young selector, and she can be found performing with the likes of Optimo, Decius, Lena Willikens, Helena Hauff and Vladimir Ivkovic. This year she's debuted at Panorama Bar, Convenanza and Waterworks, toured Asia, alongside regular appearances at Field Maneuvers, Love International, Golden Lion, Bugged Out and Watching Trees - where she's soundtracked silent films, played main stage sets whilst co-curating the The Bush of Ghosts ambient area. When you add in mixes for Erol Alkan's Phantasy, BICEP, the fabric International Women's Day series, as well as being featured on Resident Advisor's mix of the day, it’s safe to say Tia is quietly earning acclaim that even the most seasoned of artists would yearn for.
Sarahtonin
Sarahtonin, as her name suggests, makes you feel good. With a knack for finding mood-lifting tracks that make people want to dance, she has a well-deserved reputation for filling floors. She’s been listening to and mentally cataloguing music all her life and has developed both a broad taste and an encyclopaedic knowledge which allows her to play across time and genre to craft the best vibe for any situation – whether that’s Wednesday afternoon radio on Do!! You!!! alongside Charlie Bones, the legendary Low Life parties of Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton, dark smokey clubs in the small hours, or sweaty festival tents on summer afternoons. Her unshazamable DjHistory mystery mix demonstrates the depth of her collection, which spans rare house and disco cuts, driving chuggy groovers, soul with sexy vocals, acid, electronica, techno and UKG. Sarah’s weekly radio show on Do!! You!!! has a dedicated following around the world and inspires chatroom comments like “Goooooosebumpssss”, “I’m out of ‘woi’” and “gonna learn to make a bot that just posts ‘chune’ every time Sarah starts a new track”. She’s hosted guests including Piers Harrison, Scarlett O’Malley, Toshiki Ohta, Running Hot and Nadia Ksaiba. As well as her regular show, she contributes guest mixes to stations including NTS, Refuge Worldwide, Soho Radio, Voices Radio and 1BTN. And she’s made a Chill Out Tent mix for Apple Music. A Low Life resident since 2023, Sarah delivers funky sets to faithfuls and newcomers at London institution Corsica Studios, injecting fresh energy into this long-running and much loved party. In 2024, she graced the celebrated Gala festival, filling the affectionately dubbed Wizard’s Hat with love, smiles, cheers and tears. Other notable festival performances include Glastonbury, Love International, Watching Trees, Field Maneuvers and Wildwood. Always full of fun, always with a cheeky grin. Get your dose. It’s like a hug, with tunes.

Sugar Free
Sugar Free can be defined by her constant musical exploration and a refusal to be confined by genre. Raised in a musical family where records and instruments were part of everyday life, her passion for sound soon translated into DJing. She quickly became a key figure in Madrid’s electronic scene, and in 2014 caught the attention of DJ Hell, who booked her for her first international shows. In 2016 she relocated to Berlin, where she further developed as an artist. During those years she not only refined her eclectic style but also began organizing her own parties and contributing to several collectives that shaped the city’s musical landscape. Her reputation soon grew beyond Germany, leading her to perform at clubs and festivals around the world. In 2025 she released Disociando on Icelab, a record that reflects her eclectic approach: detailed, unexpected and always aiming to create a strong emotional connection with the crowd. Sugar Free is recognized for her ability to craft sets that adapt naturally to their environment, whether in intimate clubs or on festival stages, while maintaining a strong artistic identity that is unmistakably her own.
Ivan Smagghe
French DJ and producer known for dark, weird, and leftfield electro, post-punk, and cold wave.
Vladimir Ivkovic
Vladimir Ivkovic is a DJ. He’s more than that of course, but as his essence, Ivkovic is someone with a particularly unique talent for selecting records and weaving them into a larger – and often unusually compelling – narrative. Born and raised in Belgrade, he first dabbled in DJing as a teenager in the mid ’80s, but it was only after leaving Yugoslavia (to study in Germany) and later coming back for a summertime visit that he truly immersed himself in the craft, taking up position behind the decks during a series of impromptu parties at a lakeside restaurant owned by his parents. From there, he spent much of the next two decades honing his skills while throwing events like Selected and Substance that played host to a cross-section of boundary-pushing DJs, long before it was fashionable to do so. Eventually, Ivkovic found his musical and spiritual home at Salon des Amateurs, an unassuming spot in Düsseldorf that’s gradually proven to be wildly influential, giving rise in recent years to otherworldly talents like Lena Willikens, Tolouse Low Trax, Jan Schulte and many others, including Ivkovic himself. With its small size, Salon des Amateurs provided something of an open platform, a place where true music lovers could experience DJs exploring sounds and genres that strayed far from traditional electronic dance music tropes. That same adventurous spirit has found its way into Ivkovic’s curation of Offen Music, a label he launched in 2015. Although the imprint’s output is all but impossible to neatly categorize – experimental Serbian rarities sit alongside ambient excursions and moody synth-pop in the label’s catalogue – the label’s open-minded approach and embrace of off-kilter sounds perfectly encapsulates Ivkovic’s artistic temperament. In recent years, that temperament has increasingly found devoted followers all around the globe. Simply put, Ivkovic has become a staple of the European club circuit; despite his many years in the humble confines of Salon des Amateurs, he’s proven to be just as comfortable at celebrated nightspots like De School (Amsterdam), Berghain (Berlin), Nitsa (Barcelona), Kaiku (Helsinki), Sub Club (Glasgow), Phonox (London), Fold (London), Corsica Studios (London), The White Hotel (Manchester), Mutabor (Moscow), Pacha (Ibiza), Blitz (Munich), Zukunft (Zurich), Concrete (Paris), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), Circoloco (Ibiza) and others too numerous to list. He’s no stranger to touring either, having taken extended DJ trips to Canada (September 2017), Asia (July 2018), Australia (January 2018), Brazil and Colombia (March 2018), USA (2019, April 2022, 2023 and 2024), Brazil (September 2022). Even the festival circuit has come calling, inviting Ivkovic and his inventive rhythms to large-scale events like Primavera Sound, Unsound, World Minimal Music, Houghton, Strange Sounds from Beyond, Dekmantel, Flow, TodaysArt, Robot, Waking Life, Terraforma, Dancity, Positive Education, Elevate, Love International, Dimensions, Kala, Sziget, The Crave, and special gatherings like Convenanza … and that’s just a partial list. Still, despite all of these international adventures, Ivkovic has kept his focus on music, especially the dark and often psychedelic sounds that lurk in its unexplored corners. Each month, he distilled some of that love into Lunatic Love Songs, a much-loved and sonically borderless program on Red Bull Radio. He still does it with his frequent contributions for Noods Radio, Kiosk Radio, Oddity Radio or ROVR to name a few. Whether he’s broadcasting on the radio or piloting the dancefloor, Ivkovic is someone who applies a curatorial mindset and a deep love of music to all of his creative exploits. Yes, he’s a DJ, but he’s so much more than that; he’s a storyteller, a connoisseur and, most importantly, an artist.

Luke Una
Beginning his journey as an original Sheffield house young blood in the mid-1980’s and then later Manchester, Luke has gone on a four decade musical journey. This has seen him travel all over the world with his genre defying alchemic fusion of music which has seen him became a respected and prominent figure in many underground musical scenes. Luke was originally one half of the DJ duo and production team The Unabombers with Justin Crawford. They together detonated The Electric Chair, a cornerstone cult night in the UK club scene. It was here in the mid 1990’s that his sound started to develop and he quickly gained international attention, playing alongside Theo Parrish, Harvey and Moodyman, creating a deep musical journey. Luke and Justin later formed The Elektrons gaining critical acclaim. Luke has made significant contributions to the music community through his involvement in various club nights, record labels, fanzines, radio shows and festivals including Electric Elephant, a Croatian festival which paid homage to a wild eclecticism from Balearic to Brazilian to E Soul, House, Disco and Techno and beyond. Luke is the founder of Manchester’s much loved long standing Homoelectric night and Homobloc festival for 12,000 souls which has been at the forefront of UK’s LGBTQ+ cultural landscape. Luke’s radio show on Giles Peterson’s Worldwide FM born out of the pandemic saw his 6 hour radio shows from spiritual jazz, cosmic, machine soul, to deep bass buggin futurism gain cult status. Luke’s partnership with Mr Bongo went onto create É Soul Cultura, two complications - Volume 1 & 2 which went onto evolve into its own record label. Its first release was Transmission Towers - Transmission One, which Luke is an executive producer. É Soul Cultura has now become an event in its own right detonating in various basements, woods, global festivals, stage takeovers, and recent road block street parties. Luke’s most recent release “Everything Above The Sky” compilation on RE:WARM Records explores late-night, after-hours meditations on sound. Luke himself has also played at renowned festivals and clubs internationally, including We Out Here, Glastonbury, Houghton, Repercussion at The Warehouse Project, Love International, Heideglühen in Berlin, Southport Soul Weekender and sell out shows at Koko and Fabric in London. Today Luke remains, as ever, at the forefront of a young changing scene, pairing the momentous legacy of Manchester’s 80s and 90s scene with the delivery of what today’s club communities need to get down.
Channel One
The band are currently preparing a new live show to mark the November release of their debut LP ‘Sound to Light’. Self-produced and recorded mainly in their own studio, the album marries the group’s various sounds, with layers of guitar, krautrock rhythms, electronica and modulated vocals producing textures and melodies that are both filmic and familiar. The record captures both the intensity and ambience of the band’s live shows, making for a potent mix of the synthenic and the organic, the instrumental and the vocal. Forming from the remains of various punk/noise outfits the group’s initial motivation was to recreate certain kinds of melodic electronica and techno in a live band setting. Gradually more instruments and vocals were added, resulting in many driving, hypnotic, wall-of-noise style live shows that earned the band their initial reputation. From memorable early performances in basements such as The Hub or 2005’s Electric Picnic the group have gone on to play at SXSW in Texas, CMJ in New York, The Viper Room in L.A., Razmattaz in Barcelona, Popkomm in Berlin and various shows and festivals around Ireland and Europe. In 2005/2006 the band released two limited vinyl-only singles (sold-out) 'Not For the Last Time' and 'Accelerate Brake/Fun Radio'. A free download-only EP (singles and remixes) was also made available. In 2007 the 'Permissions' EP was released to much acclaim. The debut LP ‘Sound to Light’ is to be released in November 2009.
Toshiki Ohta
In his early teens, Toshiki was almost permanently locked to pirate radio stations like Touchdown and Kool FM. A fake NUS card took the 16 year old into a hedonistic, progressive world of raves, seduced by the sounds of early jungle at nights like AWOL and World Dance to techno from Laurent Garnier, Billy Nasty and Fabi Paras each playing at the height of their powers at Club UK. Decades later, and Tosh’s taste for new music has yet to dampen, as his reputation as a versatile, generous selector has only grown. In a hype-focused environment for DJing, it speaks volumes that Tosh has been on-hand for London promoters such as Percolate and Krankbrother in order to play alongside some of the world's most influential DJs. As well as shows in the UK he plays overseas in Australia, Greece, Croatia and regularly in his home country Japan, where he has played in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, as well as broadcasting on the country's influential Dommune stream. In 2020, Tosh joined DJ October and Faso as a monthly co-host on the cult ‘Sacred Pools’ show on NTS Radio, a no-holds-barred trip dissolving the boundaries between electronic and alternative music. Whether in muddy fields, vast club spaces or in a small improvised Room 2, Tosh’s sincere acid house spirit and infectious enthusiasm always translates, always inspires. John Thorp, 2020
