Unsound Warszawa 2026: MORNING GLORY 2 - Milkweed / Klein

Sunday morning at Unsound features two very special shows taking place at Nowa Miodowa, a meeting point of historic architecture and contemporary sound design.

Opening is Milkweed, whose “slacker-trad” approach brings folk, ritual and tradition into compelling new forms. Their folkloric trip-hop draws on historical source material, recontextualising ancient stories in the present through experimental sound. Their most recent album, "Remscéla", reimagines the Irish pagan epic "Táin Bó Cúailnge", while their live performances carry forward the oral storytelling tradition through song and experimentation.

South London experimental artist Klein has spent the past decade refusing easy categorisation, moving between warped R&B, ambient, modern classical and noise. Her recent guitar-led work includes 2024’s "marked" and 2025’s "thirteen sense", which push into distortion, noise, nu-metal and pop. With live shows as unpredictable as her recorded output, we’re looking forward to her return to Unsound.

Niedzielnego unsoundowego poranka czekają nas dwa wyjątkowe koncerty w Nowej Miodowej – miejscu, gdzie dawna architektura styka się ze współczesnym projektowaniem dźwięku. Obudzi nas duet Milkweed, którego „slacker-trad” podejście przemienia muzykę ludową, rytuały i tradycje w eksperymentalne brzmienia. Ich najnowszy album „Remscéla” na nowo interpretuje pogański epos irlandzki „Táin Bó Cúailnge”, zaś ich występy na żywo kontynuują tradycję ustnego przekazu opowieści poprzez pieśń i eksperymentowanie.

Klein, eksperymentalna artystka z południowego Londynu, spędziła ostatnią dekadę odmawiając bycia zaszufladkowaną i poruszając się pomiędzy pogiętym R&B, ambientem, współczesną muzyką klasyczną i noise’em. Na jej ostatnich albumach – „marked” z 2024 roku i „thirteen sense” z 2025 roku – prym wiedzie gitara, oba też skręcają ku zniekształceniom, noise’owi, nu-metalowi i popowi. Jej występy na żywo są tak nieprzewidywalne jak jej albumy – nie możemy się doczekać jej powrotu na Unsound.
