Aria Santillana

Aria Santillana is a French-Peruvian DJ based in Berlin. She discovered electronic music during her childhood by browsing radio channels, and experienced her first club nights during her mid-teens in Lima. She instantly fell in love with the underground scene, which led her to pursue a career supporting its artists and labels for over fourteen years in cities like Paris and London. Although she worked across various genres, she developed a life-long passion for house music, soul, and disco, which is reflected in her DJ sets. Aria plays warm tunes with raw grooves and soulful vocals reminiscent of 90s US house. True to her Peruvian roots, she often drops latin percussions throughout her mixes, with a few italo and nu-disco surprises along the way. To date, Aria has played in local events and clubs such as Toy Tonics, Kater Blau, Zenner, Renate, Globus, Paloma, Sisyphos and Heideglühen. Internationally, she's played at Love International in Croatia, Waterworks in the UK, and Macarena in Spain. She also hosts a bi-monthly show on Refuge Worldwide, showcasing soul, jazz, funk, and Latin American selections.
