Lineup
Lance Morgan
Since finding a love for 4x4 from growing through the UKG era, Lance Morgan has enjoyed a meteoric rise within the UK Underground scene. Lance began to harness his skills and increase his understanding of the music which developed his ability to consistently deliver hard-edge, bass driven grooves was quickly noticed as he began filling dance floors across London earning regular guest slots on Rinse FM & Kiss FM. Fuelled by sheer determination, Lance pushed himself to create an environment that allowed ravers to feel free whilst letting loose to the four to the floor bass lines he craved to play. This resulted in the launch of his ever popular brand Frequency. With his reputation gaining popularity with its bass driven music policy, Lance took the Frequency Brand across the country showcasing acts such as Dirty Channels, Matt Fear, Kreature, Clouded Judgemnt & Many more. He also programmed a stage at UK festival Outbreak in 2014 as well as finding Frequency a home with a Bi-monthly residency at Warehouse London. Lance has fulfilled a busy booking schedule including gigs at Sankeys Ibiza, Ministry of Sound & events all over the UK and Europe. Parallel to his DJ’ing, Lance spends an unprecedented amount of time in the studio. His 1st release came in May 2013, a co-production with Storm Productions released on Audio Rehab “When The Night Falls” and got a huge response. Lance released further material on Mark Radford’s plus recordings, House Entertainment, East-Side Records and also had time to do an Official Remix of the Smash hit “Adorn” by Miguel for Sony RCA Records. Lance has spent the majority of 2014 in the studio perfecting his sound creating music, ready for release in 2015.
Mark Radford
Born in the sleepy market town of Bishops Stortford and growing up in Harlow, Mark Radford’s story will speak to many aspiring producers and DJs whose interest is piqued by a scene far-flung from their immediate surroundings. The pull of dark and sweaty rooms drawing them closer and closer to the nearest city where stacks of speakers and the siren’s call of undulating basslines seem almost irresistible. It’s in those rooms that Mark Radford found his path in life, enveloping himself in the music and culture at the beating heart of London’s electronic music scene. Mark’s history stretches back to the early days of acid house, rave and jungle and he counts DJs like Randall, Grooverider and Jumping Jack Frost at the forefront of his musical stimuli. “Watching these guys create a new genre of music was amazing,” he explains, alluding to their experiments in music and willingness to push new boundaries, exposing the public to a dearth of home-grown talent as a great inspiration to him. A testament to that outlook is Mark’s record label, AudioRehab. Widely recognised as one of the capital’s most influential underground labels with its own residency at the legendary Ministry of Sound, the backing of Rinse FM’s administration and PR teams and a burgeoning roster of artists AudioRehab was born from Mark Radford’s desire to harness and expose fresh talent. And that desire has undoubtedly been realised, with the labels dropping over 50 releases from some of the hottest underground talent around since 2012. Despite the incredible explosion of his labels however, Mark can be seen as a humble and reluctant businessman. Citing himself as more of a DJ and producer than a label owner he’s happy to allow his colleagues to handle the administration of the labels, while his main input is his innate ability to pick up on fresh and exciting music. Clearly that’s an approach that’s working as Mark allows his natural A&R skills to come to the forefront while his passion for delivering new music drives his movement forward. Not only does Mark run one of the hottest labels around, he has garnered a reputation as one of London’s most cutting edge selectors and an accomplished producer in his own right. Working with vocalists and expanding his musical horizons has become a point of focus for Mark over the past few years, and listeners to his Rinse FM slot will undoubtedly have noticed how many new and unfinished tracks and collaborations he drops; almost always with the cheeky line “It’s nowhere near finished, but I thought I’d drop it anyway.” This is Mark Radford’s strength, his passion for sharing new music and new sounds with people. Amongst a multitude of artists who circle round and round, never daring to head in a new direction, here is a DJ, producer, promoter and label owner that stands out from the crowd. Much like the acid house and rave pioneers he references as his earliest influences, Mark Radford is focused on evolution, not revolution. Whether you check his show on Rinse FM, dance the night away at one of his parties or drop his records in your own set, Mark Radford’s influence on the underground music scene is keenly felt and should not be underestimated.
B3
By 2006 the scene was becoming dark, so I started going to clubs such as Egg, 1001 (Brick Lane), Platinum Bar and Secretsundaze etc, where real, quality music was being played to a more diverse type of crowd. REAL HOUSE MUSIC LOVERS! Then I was there. I found my calling, and realised that my true love was Minimal & Tech House. By 2007 I began collecting these records. I asked a promoter for a spot at a club called Herbal. I played upstairs while the main dj’s were playing on the floor below. One day, one of the dj’s forgot his laptop and I was asked to stand in for him. I played a mix of classic, uplifting electro and minimal tech house. Clubbers said the set was “amazing” and this claimed my place as a resident dj at Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop at Herbal. After a while I was approached by the promoters of one of London’s biggest Underground venues, Studio 10. The sets were three hours long which gave me the chance to really show my worth…This is when my name, DJ B3, became associated with the slogan, “It Ain’t no Myth“!! Spinning tunes was my passion and making the crowd dance was my aim, and boy, did they dance! From there on, things really started looking up. I received calls to play all over London at well known house clubs such as The Lightbox, Raduno’s, 54, East Village EGG Aquarium Plaitinum bar Plus many more.. Soon my name was on every body’s lips. During the first 6 months I was playing alongside some of London’s top dj’s. By 2008 I was well established on the House scene. I was promoting my own parties and playing in various clubs. “A Little Bit More” at Club Lick was the after party spot in 2008. In May of 2008 I also got a call to play in Ayia Napa. I played there through July to August but realised it wasn’t really my thing. Ayia Napa hasn’t really caught on to the sound i had to offer 2009 20010 was not a very good year for me. Could say i took a well deserved break! 2011 Now you can catch me, DJ B3 (It ain’t no Myth), at some of London’s top clubs; Aquarium/ Radunos /Lightbox/ Factory and many more……… Look out for future productions from me, coming real soon! .

Pioneer
Pioneer was always into music as a child as his mother was a massive reggae fan and his dad a reggae bass player. As a teenager, Pioneer was influenced heavily by the reggae sound system culture, his favourites being Stone Love, Bass Odyssey and David Rodigan. It was in 1994 that Pioneer started to pay more attention to the UK Underground Dance scene and took a great liking to Jungle music. Jungle acts such as Brockie, Funky Flirt and Nicky Blackmarket were heavily influential for Pioneer and led to him wanting to become a DJ. He started collecting vinyl even before he owned a pair of decks and his music soon became more than just a hobby, it was now a major part of his life. In 1997 Pioneer started his collection of House and Garage tracks and landed his first radio show in 1999 on what was then Magic 90.2 FM. At this point in his career DJ Pioneer was playing house and garage with productions such as Tuff Jam, Mood II Swing, Todd Terry, Todd Edwards, MJ Cole, Grant Nelson and many more. DJ Pioneer moved to pirate radio trendsetters London Underground 89.4 in 2001. It was also in 2001 that Pioneer began working at the Wired For Sound record store in Hackney, East London. Working at the record store was a great move for Pioneer as he got to appreciate all styles of music from Jazz to Deep House. By 2003, Pioneer hosted a show on Y2K FM which covered US soulful house, old school garage and ‘4 to the floor’ all in the space of 2 hours. The shows became more and more popular and led to bookings at big events such as ‘Pure Silk’, ‘Together as One’, ‘Cream Of Da Crop’ plus more. Moving on, Pioneer also landed shows on Touch FM, and Déjà vu FM and had by this time linked up with an old pal from the scene Spidey G. They spent a year on London's Déjà Vu 92.3 fm between 2006-2007 during which time London’s house scene along with UK Funky was going from strength to strength and this show was at the forefront of this movement. After many years on pirate radio, DJ Pioneer’s skills had not gone unnoticed. In 2008, Pioneer joined the world famous radio station Kiss, broadcasting in London, East Anglia and the South West as well as on kissfmuk.com and DAB across the UK. Pioneer has championed UK artists such as Rudimental, Donaeo and Roska as well as international acts such as Black Coffee and Kenny Dope. Many tracks pioneered on his show have gone on to the Kiss daytime playlist such as ‘In The Morning’ by Egypt and ‘The Cure And The Cause’ by Dennis Ferrer. Now into his fifth year on Kiss, Pioneer’s show is a favourite for many radio listeners nationwide. In 2009, Ministry of Sound released ‘The Sound of UK Funky’ mixed by DJ Pioneer. Pioneer featured tracks from Karizma, Ultra Nate and Crazy Cousinz. This CD firmly placed Pioneer on the map as a respected and influential DJ on the House circuit. By 2010, DJ Pioneer produced a Soulful House track titled ‘Stronger’ featuring Egypt, which received great support from the Underground, mainstream radio and Sky TV. The giant sportswear brand Puma also signed one of Pioneer’s remixes for their Cobra Golf advertising campaign and the ‘Cobra Golf Orange Out’ iPhone application in 2011. Pioneer has now launched his record label, SOTU (Sounds Of The Underground) Recordings. With already 2 releases to date, the label is set to be a great success as it represents the sound of the UK club scene from Deep House to Bass and is home to some of the finest up and coming producers. Pioneer hosts the label’s monthly party at the Lockside Lounge in Camden and will be taking the brand worldwide shortly. With regular bookings in Spain, Cyprus, Amsterdam, Greece and Jamaica, Pioneer’s international following is growing by the day. Check out DJ Pioneer on KISS FM every Friday night from midnight til 1am.
