TATV #6 – Temporary Autonomous Tele Vision Festival (Day 3)

About this event
A free republic for three days: TATV returns! The interdisciplinary music festival Temporary Autonomous Tele Vision disguises itself as a temporary television station and broadcasts concerts, performances, and interventions around the clock, encompassing real-time music, electroacoustic improvisation, and experimental film – to be experienced live at the Galilee Church in Friedrichshain and on Twitch. The festival sees itself as an audiovisual experimental field – as Expanded Television – and thus opens up spaces to critically question the all-powerful attention economy.
With TATV #6, the project enters its sixth year. From the outset, the curation of this cryptic and enigmatic project has been difficult to categorize: absurd talk show formats, lectures on animal sounds, noise, and Alan Turing, expansive sound installations, two-hour radical piano improvisations, and experimental film. TATV #6 again appears to be a "holistic" curation that transcends conventional concert or event formats. The newly designed Galilee Church, as the venue, provides incentives for site-specific work.
