BACKGROUND/ ORIGINS
maniac&me was significantly shaped by the big bang of e-sound he experienced from the early 90ies, right in the epi center Frankfurt a.M.: This time period with all it's unleashed energies, this new born unique form of music, culture, attitude, spirituality and freedom, is the source of his consistent dedication to underground electronic music, which must suspend space and time.
In the 90s/ 00s maniac&me organized several raves in the Rhine-Main region, led a party series in an underground location in Darmstadt and had numerous engagements in bars and smaller clubs in the region.
Not unusual to disappear from radar, he left party scene in the 10s nearly completey to enjoy infinite hours in intimitate exchange with music pure 1:1 - a form of spiritual retreat: The only few occasions maniac&me physically shared his music creations with other human beings were lovingly spurred on from his new found e-significant other and best friend Hessian DJ Kire, with whom he formed 2013 the b2b project as “Nachtflug Widerstand”.
BERLIN Eventually his move to Berlin in 2017, back then the new German e-sound capital already for nearly two decades, created new appetite for performingat events: The inclusive and diverse, often hedonistic multi cultural music scene with it's uncountable locations linked to maniac&me's 90ies experiences, and it didn't took long to find like-minded spirits such as Sciarada, Solco Privato or Mutlu San to share musical intelligence and visions.
PRESENT
Since 2023 maniac&me is a permanent member of “Duma, The Collective” and organizes and plays in the Berlin locations SchwuZ, Orangerie Neukölln and Renate. Since 2024, he executes his monthly event series "U10247" in Minimal Bar in Friedrichshain for D.T.C., featuring various guest djs mainly from Berlin, sometimes also from other origins. maniac&me is vinyl-only, powerful house tunes, minimal surreality, light neotrance, industrial progressive, but characteristically is his sets shooting wicked, twisted, edgy technoid styled house which transform to straight-into-the-face progressive techno, aiming to experience lovingly release of all present ravers through collective freak power activation, according to the adapted motto of his e-godfather Sven Väth: "No dancing, no paradise.”
