With the expansion of the festival site and the new dedicated listening floor, the concept moves into a deeper layer of experience.

Through the newly established Curation Series, we aim to build stronger bonds with the artist, the audience and communities. Afra

After a hiatus of about eight years Afra couldn’t deny her love of dj-ing any longer, so she dusted of her collection of vinyl, assembled many new records too and gave it another swing. This all took place in 2017 and a lot has happened since. But more about that later, let’s start at the beginning.
Electronic music and the international club scene have always fascinated Afra. It started in the early years of this century when she decided – at 16 years old - to collect vinyl and made her Technics her new best friends after seeing a Miss Kittin show. In the coming years she was playing different clubs and festivals in and around her hometown Amsterdam, but dj-ing as a teenager can be tough. The fun slowly passed and Afra started spending her time setting up her own business as a jeweller, which she is still running to date. Luckily Afra dug up the fun 4 years ago when she did what was mentioned at the beginning of this little bio. She found out that the break she took from dj-ing only made her more determined and mature about the job. Her sound has progressed to a mix of techno, electro, acid and EDM all with that rousing punch and emotion at the same time. Amsterdam – Rotterdam – Berlin became Afra’s holy trinity these past years. She became a resident for one of Amsterdam’s biggest queer parties SPIELRAUM, played her monthly shows at Operator Radio while buying records at Clone and cooking up some new ideas with Marsman from Pinkman in Rotterdam, and took the train to Berlin often to play at parties like Herrensauna and Saule. Afra is a true vinyl lover. The imperfections that come with the sound of it and the focus that is needed for mixing with the black gold give her energy and goose bumps. She mixes all of her sets with vinyl and she likes to play diverse sets from the more subtle ones to peak time bangers.

Another period of rest came when the COVID-19 pandemic stopped all artists from playing their shows. In Afra’s case this meant she could finally finish her plans with Marsman. They set-up the Pinkman sublabel Mindri, which had it’s first release ‘Flying Spaghetti Monstership by Pluto Junkies at the end of 2020. As the shows start to pick up again, Afra is ready and steady for round three.

Akua

Akua has cemented herself as one of the most distinctive techno DJs coming out of the U.S. in recent years, shining brightly at the forefront of a new generation of techno artists who are reviving the innovative and rebellious spirit of techno’s enduring velocity through their work. Her practice is a passionate dedication to archiving & activating timeless strains of raw and mechanized expression - leading the new school of North American machine funk, while harkening back to the revolutionary sonics of Detroit, Chicago, & New York City DJs throughout history. A recent move to Berlin, a city that has held a crucial role in the evolution of techno, has provided her with the opportunity to further develop her craft by embracing the transcontinental connection that originally ignited the inspiration for the techno movement worldwide. Her one-of-kind, no-nonsense style brings a necessary & poignant intensity to today’s dancefloors, eschewing trends of the moment and channeling the essence of techno into an authentic wavelength that’s completely intuitive to her being. This unique display of influences plays out in Akua's unrivaled sets heard around the world - from exerting her celebrated prowess behind the decks at renowned New York clubs like Basement and Nowadays, to unleashing landmark sets at Movement Detroit, Berghain FUSE Brussels, Dekmantel, Draaimolen, & FOLD London. Already seasoned on the European tour circuit, 2024 sees her career encompassing new trajectories & widening her global reach into tours through Asia & Australia. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, she effortlessly embodies an enthralling old-school sound while keeping her finger on the pulse of contemporary producers that also embody the authentic energy of techno’s turn-of-the-century peak. As her boundless legacy steadily expands, she continues to cultivate respect and adoration from the most discerning of DJs & dancers alike through her incredible mixing finesse and constantly expanding repertoire of futureproof classics.

Decoder

Raised far from the gravitational pull of dance music hubs, Dallas-born Decoder developed his craft outside traditional DJ circuits, shaping a singular voice defined by independence that remains central to his sound today. First opening Fruity Loops at the age of ten, Decoder's relationship with electronic music began free from expectation or institutional pressure. His early productions were guided as much by video game soundtracks, synth-pop and rhythm as by techno itself, resulting in music that is light and inquisitive. That playfulness has endured. Over time, his productions have evolved, with a distinctive sci-fi-feeling that's grounded in the techno's founding principles. Drum-led, full-bodied and often carrying a quiet melancholia, his discography draws a clear lineage from Detroit techno's futurist restraint and experimental traditions, all the while still resisting easy categorisation. Influences range from the microtonal explorations of Aleksi Perälä to the hypnotic patience associated with Perlon-era minimalism and Ricardo Villalobos, all filtered through an instinctive sense of play. Early support from Richie Hawtin and Jeff Mills affirmed his commitment to this direction, recognition many artists work years to achieve. In the DJ booth, Decoder treats performance as a direct extension of the studio. Sets are often built largely from unreleased material, functioning closer to live testing grounds than traditional DJ performances—ideas are trialled, stripped back and reshaped in real time with close attention to the room. After formative experiences at warehouse parties and renegade events across Texas, he began touring internationally while still in his teens, logging sets at the likes of De School, FOLD and Watergate. 2025 marked a significant turning point, with an acclaimed set at Waking Life and his debut at Berghain. Alongside releasing on established labels, Decoder runs two imprints: Codec, a community-focused platform for collaborative projects, and TOCA, a more purist, physical-only label emphasising longevity and restraint. His forthcoming album Prakasa, released on Planet X, represents several years of studio development and reflects his continued interest in cohesion across time, genre and form. Now operating internationally, Decoder represents a measured reinvention of techno, one that looks forward without severing ties to the past. Retaining the independence forged in Dallas warehouses and DIY parties, he remains an artist shaped not by trends, but by curiosity, patience and a disciplined belief in the power of simplicity.

Ehua

Felix Fleer

Function

New York producer Dave Sumner known for dark, cavernous, industrial-influenced techno on Ostgut Ton and Sandwell District.

Gabrielle Kwarteng

Gabrielle Kwarteng’s journey continues to be one of passion, dedication and fate. Born and raised in New York, Kwarteng has withstood shifting sands in dance music to represent a curatorial presence with a deep knowledge of music history, driven by a dedication to regenerating its culture. In an era of everything at once, Kwarteng is a DJ who weaves stories for the dancefloor that often look to the past, while always focusing on possible futures. In an era of sonic singularities, Kwarteng’s flexibility and curiosity is a virtue; her long-awaited debut at Dekmantel Festival in 2023 resulted in no less than three sets across the weekend, each possessing contrasting energies. Elsewhere London’s iconic Fabric have championed Kwarteng on multiple occasions, programming her into their prestigious 25th birthday celebrations alongside the likes of Ben UFO and Ricardo Villalobos. At Berghain, she has appeared with even greater frequency as part of some of the fabled club’s most crucial parties, including CSD, Silvester, as well as smoothly piloting seven-hour closing sets in Panorama Bar. Such reverberations have reached far beyond the club; FKA twigs extended a personal invite to soundtrack her 2024 Met Gala afterparty. Taking place at The Standard, Kwarteng played just a few blocks uptown from the Soho Grand ballroom, where she had once furtively begun her first DJ residency, less than a decade earlier. The roots of this keen musicality run deep. Born in Brooklyn to Ghanaian parents but raised in the Bronx, Kwarteng’s childhood was soundtracked by a mix of first-wave Highlife, Afrobeat and disco. Outside her own front door, in a thriving neighborhood of diverse American experiences, entire sounds and scenes expanded and exploded as pop-culture began to mutate in new ways, both online and off. Crossing to Manhattan for school, the tempo changed entirely as rock, hip hop and experimental music filled Kwarteng’s ears, accompanying her intense study. Juggling academia with the beat became part of life, and she was later presented with the Mixcloud Online Radio Award for Best Eclectic Show, broadcasting on then burgeoning online radio station, The Lot. An early and completely unexpected acknowledgement of an instinct for music that traversed genre expectations, it laid down the foundations for her later move and return to Europe, and a commitment to trusting her creative instincts. Here, Kwarteng has not only become a fixture in established, open-minded musical spaces everywhere from Berlin, London, Amsterdam and Paris, but is equally called upon to establish the energy of new ventures, such as Horst Club in Belgium. Her resplendent selections have made connections further still, on tour in Australia, South America and soon to include Asia. Listening and dancing to Kwarteng, whether in a cavernous rave hall, a sweat-soaked underground club or amid the temporary pleasures of a festival, is an experience that feels at once familiar but always energizing. Fluidly slipping through a mix of heady 80s and 90s US house, disco interpretations that traverse diaspora and eras, and the futurist pulse of physical, emotive techno, Kwarteng expertly matches the requisite energy of contemporary queer rave culture. This understanding led to an invitation to make a storied Glastonbury festival debut at the legendary Block 9, the deepest pleasure center within the nocturnal NYC Downlow, before returning in 2024 for a back-to-back set with Shanti Celeste, this time on the wider scale of the Silver Hayes stage. Wherever she performs, Kwarteng’s expertise serves to not only continue the championing of Black American genres such as house, techno and disco, but equally, to explore the continuum of global dance music as a whole. Having laid the foundations for a unique musical journey, it’s a level of respect that’s tangible on any dancefloor. In these increasingly sacred spaces, Gabrielle Kwarteng’s personal passion translates into collective ecstasy. The dig continues.

Heiko Laux

Henning Baer

As the resident DJ of Grounded Theory, one of its founders, curator of its celebrated events, and a DJ of worldwide renown for ability and tastes, Henning Baer forged his enviable résumé with his own hands.  Since its beginning in 2009, Grounded Theory has grown from a bracing new idea in Berlin techno to an institution of artistic nightlife both at its home and around the continent. Directed with acute vision and unerring judgment, its philosophy extracted from Henning’s long years at the front lines of electronic music, it remains diverse and cutting edge. Mirroring Henning Baer's DJ sets, Grounded Theory combines music from different eras and areas, remaining rooted in techno while shedding light on sounds less frequently heard on Berlin dance floors: forward UK music, experimental electronics, and underground techno names from across the globe, both new and established.    Henning Baer is asserting greater independence with innovative new production styles on a recent EP for Taanstaafl Planets. The launch of his own MANHIGH imprint buttresses the foundation of his own work, to be built up alongside a select few whose productions meet the curatorial acumen of one of techno’s finest ears. After esteemed releases on Sonic Groove, K209 and elsewhere, fans worldwide have much to look forward to from a label whose standards match those of Grounded Theory.  Already a respected artist, Henning’s diligence has transported him from the counter to the shelves of Hardwax and from the floor to the booth of Berghain in regular appearances. Now he is building further upon these impressive accomplishments, profoundly shaping contemporary techno from recent memory into the foreseeable future.

Luna Ludmila

Over the past two decades, Luna Ludmila from Utrecht, NL, has been developing her craft as a DJ and producer. She has performed DJ and live sets at renowned venues and events such as Bassiani, Tresor, De School, Club der Visionaere, VBX, Is Burning, and Breakfast Club, among others. While playing for live audiences is one of her favorite activities, she dedicates most of her time to her studio, creating music. Luna's deep fascination with layering sounds and experimenting with complex rhythms has caught the attention of labels like SoHaSo and Irenic. She continually challenges herself, with her live performances marking her latest exciting journey.

Magda

Magda's realm as an artist spans far beyond the typical role played by DJs and producers. With an open mind, Magda will try her hand at whatever feels right: from producing high-quality Tequila to tech collaborations, fashion and art, Magda has created a truly unique, multifaceted expression of herself. Born in Poland and raised in Detroit, Magda has soaked up the various characteristics of her surroundings, resulting in a widely-cultured perspective, tuned to see beauty and potential in the most derelict and depressed of places. As a teenager partying in Detroit, it wasn't long until Magda was fully immersed in the city's underground scene. In 1998, she was dropped straight into the deep end; she joined Minus and began touring the world as Richie Hawtin's opening DJ. Whilst this was a perfect platform for Magda to show off her talents and develop a fanbase, it brought with it the constraints of an established reputation. Magda was defined as a DJ under the Minus umbrella, but since has forged her own path. Magda's touring schedule is amongst the most high-profile and demanding around, with regular bookings at many of the world's very best house/techno clubs and festivals. She's proved herself as a consistent, adventurous and top-quality performer, with a knack for bringing tracks together in unexpected ways. As well as notable accolades such as a BBC 1 Essential Mix and playing at Timewarp's live streamed 20th anniversary, Magda has been behind some stand-out commercial mixes. 'She's A Dancing Machine', released in 2006 through Hawtin's label, was truly seminal. It intricately layered 70 tracks into 16 sections and displayed an almost unprecedented level of energy for a minimal DJ mix. She was later invited to record a mix for Fabric esteemed CD series, and adopted a similar patchwork approach to brilliant effect. Her latest, two-disc mix compilation, out through the Balance series in February, gives equal measure to the experimental and club-focused aspects of her DJing. Incorporating music from the likes of Shackleton, Murat Tepeli and Marcel Dettmann, Magda takes the listener on a thrillingly unpredictable listen. Though solo Magda releases are relatively rare, there's no doubt her ability extends beyond the booth to the studio. In the fall of 2010, Magda revealed her debut on Minus, 'From The Fallen Page'. It combined her love for Italian horror composition, Detroit techno futurism and straight-forward dancefloor functionality into a quality body of work that still sounds fresh today. She has also remixed the likes of Plastikman and Depeche Mode. Collaboration has become a vital part of Magda's studio work. Cornerbred is the project she shares with partner Daniela Huerta. Offering a respite from normal DJ sets, it revels in avant-garde and real-life concepts, utilising a broad sound pallet and lending itself to live performance. The pair have recorded mixes on Soundcloud and sites such as Oki-ni, the hour-long sessions covering a wide array of styles, sounds and periods, from 80s electro to more atonal works. DTR (Define The Relationship) is Magda's edits venture with Nyma, dedicated to 'reshaping, reintroducing and reviving early influences as a homage to the past, present and future'. So far, LL Cool J, Chaka Khan and Jody Watley have been under the DTR microscope with fascinating results. On top of all this, Magda has proved herself as a label boss, running the long-standing and successful Items & Things imprint with Marc Houle and Troy Pierce. The label thrives on the off-kilter and the uncommon, unearthing new artists and sounds that push boundaries. Thirty releases in and Items & Things proudly count the likes of Jimmy Edgar and Rework amongst its roster. With a new event series and much more in the works, 2015 is an exciting year for Magda and her fans. Her Maria Pascuala Tequila brand and design work also continue to open new avenues, each of them explored with the stamp of quality Magda has come to represent. Martinou

The Swedish producer, DJ, and live performer creates multilayered music that works its way into the heart and mind—sometimes bold and heavy, other times blissful and introspective. Either way, an emotional response on the dancefloor is inevitable. This quality made Martinou a key figure in the Scandinavian club scene. Now, his reputation extends beyond, with performances at events like the Draaimolen Festival and Georgia’s Bassiani, among other well-curated stages. With over 20 years of exploring electronic music from different angles, Martinou channels these experiences into his take on the deeper shades of the field. Hailing from Sweden, his sound is heavily influenced by the interplay of light and darkness found in the northern landscapes. The lush intensity of the forests and vast murmuring expanses infuse his music, adding mystery to his billowing pads and flowing rhythms. The result is a euphonious and emotional atmosphere. The albums Rift (2021) and Chiral (2023) on the Dutch label Nous’klaer illustrate this Martinou-specific delicate balance between house and techno. What some might see as a middle ground becomes, in his hands, a space for deep and resonant expression The years 2023 and 2024 marked pivotal moments for the Malmö-based artist, with significant releases on Turbo Recordings, Melifera Records, and Mule Musiq. In 2014 Martinou co-founded Sewer Sender. The label explores different aspects of dance music, takes artistic risks and focuses strongly on the entire picture of a release. Sewer Sender serves as an outlet - and home - for his productions and those of fellow artists like Eletun Selona and Nokato Nomer. Anyone who encounters Martinou in a DJ or live performance can sense his genuine joy in playing music. It spills naturally, from the inside out, expanding across the dancefloor with ease.  His DJ sets are notable for their flow, where tracks feel as if they were made for one another. He digs deeper than typical club selections, aspiring to offer something more intriguing and profound. It’s no surprise that he is known for 4-5 hour sets, which allow the stories within each dancer to unfold at their own pace, rather than being rushed into a typical two-hour slot. Similarly, Martinou’s live sets go beyond the sum of their parts. Fairy-esque pads drift above and beneath the grooves, gently arching into the surroundings while staying intimate to each listener’s experience. One way or another, a Martinou set is ever-evolving and enthralling, for him and everyone involved.

Roman Flügel

It all started with one of these Chicago Trax compilations on DM/STREETSOUNDS. As a reaction to his thirsting for more of these crazed beats from overseas and with a view to his tight budget, the greatest hits of these expensive imported 12” singles were soon released in the form of a compendium. This opened Pandora’s box, for very young Roman Flügel, too. Innocently given to him by his elder brother as a present (“He probably had no idea what he was about to unleash and just wanted to give me some new music”), the dazzle of the unrefined and feverish dance music, furnished with just a few drum machines and inexpensive synthesizers, turned the whole world upside down for the cultivated music pupil from Darmstadt. After several evenings at Sven Väth’s renowned Omen club, few kilometres further up north, and his mind was made up. Memories of the atmosphere at the legendary Warp or Underground Resistance label nights has put a smile on Flügel’s delicate face ever since – a man who would also make a fine figure as a literature lecturer, poet or thinker. “LFO’s bass, once they had set up their massive range of equipment, was unbelievable,” he says laughing. It didn’t take long before the well-trained ear tried out more than just classical melodies. Little by little, he collected a vast array of equipment, bringing forth his first sound experiments and enough courage to give a demo tape to indie fan (that’s what music magazines like Zillo used to call people like that back then) Jörn Elling Wuttke. The latter was a well-known face in Darmstadt’s music scene and often enthused about new electronic music. In him he had found the right partner and Wuttke could hardly believe his spellbound ears. DJs und Delirium record sellers Ata and Heiko MSO from Frankfurt felt the same. At first they thought someone was making fun of them. It sounded too authentic and unique. The music Flügel and Wuttke had presented to their label Ongaku and Klang Elektronik as Acid Jesus or, rather, Alter Ego, couldn’t possibly come from the little neighbouring town Darmstadt. In Frankfurt, that kind of sound made people think of Detroit. The rest is history and forged an almost holy alliance. Speaking of holy: a humid summer’s day, a crate of beer and a studio in a garage sufficed to found a new label by the name of Playhouse for Holy Garage and to create that certain “surprise” which still excites house clubs today. Comrades-in-arms such as Isolée, Don Disco alias Losoul and Ricardo Villalobos made the label the number one address. So they went on, history was written and the nineties flew by in a jiffy. His degree course in music was in the way: “It seemed obsolete somehow, just to be analyzing church sonatas all day when there were so many interesting things going on around me. When, on top of that, the only semester on modern music was cancelled that year, I decided to leave the university.” Luckily for us all, actually. The electronic intellectual’s productivity is virtually unparalleled and Roman Flügel, the producer, DJ and label co-owner of Ongaku/Klang/Playhouse has meanwhile become a gentle giant in the German electro scene. With his own personal style and the privilege of being independent from the usual constraints of the music industry. A free spirit instead of a sheep. His solo project as Soylent Green (see the latest “La Forca Del Destino” compendium) is just as much of a must as his Alter Ego project with Wuttke, rigorously affirming techno down to the very last detail. He and Wuttke also count as techno Teuton Sven Väth’s favourite producers, who booked the team to produce a series of his own music. Roman’s work as Eight Miles High and Ro 70 show his quieter side, while the remixes (e.g. for Daft Punk, The Human League, Primal Scream, Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue) and tracks under his own name (just think of the Arcade rave of “Geht’s Noch”) are light dancefloor affirmations. Roman also champions the cause of this in his job as an entertainer. Tried and tested by the stadium and pop hit “Rocker”, Flügel and Wuttke can be proud of being able to set any auditorium in the world on fire with their live set. DJ Roman Flügel can say the same of himself. Be it his sets at Offenbach’s Robert-Johnson, Amnesia on Ibiza or Berlin’s Tollhaus Berghain/Panorama Bar: instead of disappearing in trivial and meaningless elevator clicks, he prefers to make his way through 20 years of “rave”. Contemporary music that includes bleeping house or quirky techno meets futuristic Italo-disco and electronica devoid of all provenance. There was a time when you’d call that kind of sound acid house, released cheaper by the dozen on compilations. It all turns full circle again. Gerd Janson 2009

Japanese DJ and producer, a pioneering figure in deep house known for co-producing 'Tears' with Frankie Knuckles.

Serge

So good he is known only by his first name, Serge is the man responsible for large swathes of the best electronic music out there thanks to his Clone empire. A store in Rotterdam as well as a whole network of labels, he A&Rs everything from classic house to banging basement tracks to seminal electro from the most respected names in the scene. Spinning records in the Lowlands since the late 80s, Clone bossman Serge comes at this game from the point of view of a DJ, rather than producer. When he started out, it was the norm for residents to play all evening in their clubs, spinning a wide array of music from any genre -just so long as it got people dancing- and it is those formative experiences which mark him out as the revered selector he is. If form is temporary and class is permanent, given Serge’s ongoing contribution to the worlds of house, Italo disco, electro and techno with Clone over the last 25 years, he is surely as classy as they come. Serge’s unquestionably keen ear has always kept Clone ahead of the curve, and the records he picks out to deploy in one of his learned, trend-defying DJ sets stand out, regardless of genre or style, and it is for that reason that this man is being picked up by a whole new generation.

Vera Logdanidi

Vera Logdanidi’s journey in the music industry began as a DJ in Kyiv, Ukraine during the mid-2000s. Since then, she has developed into a versatile producer, with her music released on respected labels such as Rhythm Büro, Semantica Records, On Board Music, Dial Records, Konstrukt and others. Her solo and collaborative tracks have been remixed by artists including Eric Cloutier, Artefakt, and Svreca. In addition to her DJ sets, Vera made her live debut at Draaimolen Festival, presenting another dimension of her artistic voice through live performance. She has also collaborated with Ukrainian producer Na Nich on joint live projects. Beyond her own productions, Vera frequently tours both domestically and internationally. Her dynamic range allows her to adapt to both intimate settings and large festival stages. She has performed at renowned venues such as Berghain, Panorama Bar, Bassiani, Tresor, Closer, ∄, among others. Her festival appearances include Draaimolen, Monument City Festival, Ickra, Strichka, Brave Factory Festival, and more. In her sets, Vera moves seamlessly between powerful, groovy, and mental techno, deep house experiments, ambient explorations, and occasional dives into broken beat and jungle, which hold a special place in her musical path. Vera’s artistic practice extends beyond the dance floor. Her audio-visual project VOICES (2022) was showcased at MU Hybrid Art House in Eindhoven, pushing her expression into multimedia art. In 2024, her collaboration with artist Bambi Benko was awarded the prestigious Brutus Prize. Their joint work combined Benko’s installation Earthseed with Vera’s sound design, creating an otherworldly atmosphere inspired by Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower. Aside from producing and touring, Vera is also the co-founder of Rhythm Büro, a collective known for bringing top international artists to Kyiv. Rhythm Büro’s most unique project, the Natura festival, used to gather over 4,000 guests annually in a remote outdoor location. However, the festival has been on hold during the ongoing war. Vera was also a co-owner of 22:22 Studio, which began as a record label and expanded into a mixing and mastering studio (currently inactive). As an active member of the Ukrainian music community, she supports emerging and established artists alike. Her Kashtan project, which started as a radio show, has grown into both a label and a community hub, curating Ukrainian electronic music across genres. Alongside her artistic work, Vera shares her knowledge as a sound production lecturer at Skvot School, nurturing the next generation of producers.

American techno DJ and producer based in Berlin, known for his massive vinyl collection and hypnotic sets.

Isabel Soto

Her story began in Canada, where she started developing her style while exploring Montreal’s underground scene — a space that shaped her raw, hypnotic, percussive sound and gave her the freedom to experiment. Her music is about creating a space, a feeling. Quelza

THE GOAL IS NOTHING. THE MOVEMENT IS EVERYTHING. Born in the suburbs of Paris and now based in Berlin, Quelza has developed a body of work defined by precision and intent, free from categorisation. His path hasn’t followed scene momentum or passing waves. It unfolds according to its own internal logic — a steady refinement of sound, structure and space. Releases on Dekmantel and Ostgut Ton trace that evolution clearly. Each record carefully engineered: futuristic, grounded, detailed without excess. Tension builds patiently. Rhythms shift and reconfigure. Atmospheres stretch and contract. There is clarity in his music, but never repetition — the framework is solid, the direction always moving forward. Behind the decks, Quelza’s sets don’t rely on genre markers or obvious peaks. He works with pacing, contrast and control — moving between pressure and restraint, density and openness. Rather than chasing reaction, he shapes progression. A regular at institutions such as Berghain, Basement, Fabric and beyond - which reflects something earned over time: trust in his vision and in his ability to hold a room without shortcuts. Quelza’s approach resists short term payoff. The emphasis is on continuity, developing a trajectory that grows with intention over time.

Alarico

Strongly shaped by the raw and forward-leaning sound of 90’s Techno, Milan based artist Alarico Zucchi started his journey into electronic music in 2015 making his way through clubs as a DJ while learning the art of music production. The inauguration of ‘Alarico’ occurred in 2019 after previously exploring several sub-genres of Techno. The alias was formed as a statement to showcase a style that was personal to him. Personal in a way that he became captivated within the patterns and structures of his own sound. Known for fast paced rhythms and kinky grooves he has released music consistently since his debut in 2020 on Joton’s imprint ‘Newrhytmic Records’. Shortly after he launched the vinyl imprint “Katana Records” which showcases the more nose-bleed and mental side of his idea of Techno. Also 2021 so far has been a prolific key year for Alarico. While the world fell seemingly more and more asleep, he continued honing his craft: His debut on Amsterdam based label ‘OOM Records’ was followed by an invitation to a highly acclaimed artists label, which is soon to be disclosed. The same goes for an upcoming remix. Alarico continues to position himself as a unique music lover, continuing to explore the depths and possibilities of sound. He stands for continuously pushing boundaries and stirring this attitude with his background of Hip Hop and Japanese culture.

Lea Occhi

Where words fail, music speaks. Reserved and solitary, Léa found refuge in music since her childhood. Jazz, soul music or French chansons, family moments usually came and still come hand in hand with music and sharing the joint, somewhat meditative listening experience. An ardent curiosity for Electronic Music started rising in her highschool days, pushing her towards broadening the musical horizon and consequently DJing in parallel to her fashion and design studies. After a few years of exploring parties in Germany and Paris, she co-founded Spectrum Waves in 2017 - a parisian LGBTQ+ collective with tolerance, diversity, freedom, parity and respect at its core. The collective hosts events at Station Gare des Mines, a rehabilitated industrial wasteland and former railway station, to provide a safer space for minority communities, where freedom of expression is lived in all thinkable forms. Through its lineups and podcasts channel, Spectrum highlights emerging French and international DJs and producers. Léa is also at the forefront of promoting women in the Parisian electronic scene. Further commitments go as far as donating parts of the Spectrum earnings to different associations close to her heart such as aid to migrants and refugees, LGBTQIA+ associations or the fight against HIV. Through her collective, she has managed to create a perfect balance between her own desires, ambitions and her fundamental values. Name the unnameable, communicate the unknowable. Spectrum Waves also vastly helped shaping Léa’s musical comprehension and appreciation of Techno as an outlet, which is able to create the same meditative listening experience and togetherness she feels when listening to music with her family. Her sets stand out for their sharp selection and absolute coherence. A mental, groovy Techno fueled by organic, tribal elements – widely reverberating in its uniqueness and class. The creation of an intimate atmosphere and cohesion in each of her sets makes them stand out, equally so does the implementation of feelings and emotions while at the same time following a rather minimalistic approach in the music itself. A real digger at heart, she has a very wide range of styles and tempos, from techno to micro house, deep, ambient or house/funk - she knows how to adapt and read energies, giving what's needed at the right moment. Pornceptual, Eerste Cie, Vault Sessions or Meat free… Playing for collectives that match her values and commitments is crucial. She performs in renowned European clubs and festivals such as Berghain, Tresor Berlin, De School, BRET Amsterdam, Fold London, Le Sucre Lyon, ∄ Kyiv, Awakenings, Fusion Festival to name a few, but also in Asia. Léa’s path will continue in 2024, capturing ears and hearts by storm. Bookings: tim@outlined-am.com

D-Leria

D-LERIA Giuseppe Scaccia also known as D-Leria, a sonic virtuoso in the studio and a chaos creator on the dancefloor, embarked on his DJ journey in 2001. Swiftly transitioning to studio production, he garnered international recognition in Hardcore and became a fixture at major festivals, particularly in the Netherlands. In 2014, he gave life to D-Leria, releasing a series of EPs that served as a canvas for his evolving musical style. This transformative period also saw him take on dual roles as an artist and manager at Delirio record label, where he curated a space for avant-garde talents with a focus on authentic live recording. Relocating to Berlin, Giuseppe immersed himself in new inspirations and devoted five years to meticulously crafting his debut album, 'Driving to Nowhere.' The result was a sonic masterpiece that quickly captivated the attention of electronic music luminaries. D-Leria’s artistic trajectory continued to ascend as he found a home in prestigious labels such as Avian, Semantica, Non Series, Sublunar, Monument. German techno DJ and producer, closely associated with Ostgut Ton and Dial Records.

Fergus Sweetland

Known for a wonky, wobbly, rhythm-driven strain of contemporary techno, Fergus crafts tracks that blend dense texture, low-end pressure and hypnotic repetition into narratives that feel both playful and deeply physical. Coming up in Melbourne’s club scene from the early 2010s, he spent years experimenting across house and techno before a pivotal encounter with European club culture pushed his sound toward a tighter, more focused techno direction. By the mid-2010s he was a regular in respected Australian DJ booths and at festivals such as Strawberry Fields, as well as playing internationally in Japan — experiences that laid the foundation for his later move to Europe. On record, Fergus has become closely associated with Portuguese collective and label HAYES, where his self-titled EP (2020), Antipodean (2021), Punching The Core (2022), the surrealist-leaning Thank You, Brain. (2023) and his most recent club-focused EP Secret Formula (2025) map out a progression from minimal, brain-licking cuts to more experimental and atmospheric club tracks. In 2024 he joined Nørbak’s NRBK imprint with Big House Resonance, a three-tracker that balances intricate drum programming with dub-tinged warmth and a collaborative nod to the UK sound alongside Nørbak himself. That same year, Fergus launched his own label, Pressure Systems, a platform dedicated to “total creative freedom and boundary-pushing authenticity.” The debut release, Pressure Systems 01, delivered three warped, dark techno cuts that firmly set the label’s tone. As a DJ, Fergus has appeared at venues and events across Europe, Asia and Australia, including a standout main-room set at London institution Fold in 2025, where his elastic, storytelling style found a natural home on one of his favourite sound systems. His mixes for outlets like Slam Radio and Vault Sessions showcase his taste for left-of-centre techno that sidesteps formula in favour of tension, release and surprise. Whether through his label, his records or his teaching, his guiding principle remains the same: all for the sake of the sound.

Fireground

Fireground is the live electronic project of Angela and Daniele, a Neapolitan duo developing a rhythm-driven approach to techno rooted in musicality and the physical energy of performance. Originally from Naples in Southern Italy, their music channels the rhythmic sensibilities of Mediterranean culture into contemporary club music, combining groove-driven techno, house-rooted harmony and percussive dancefloor energy, a style that reconnects techno with warmth, movement and musical depth. After relocating to Berlin, Fireground became closely connected to the ecosystem surrounding Tresor Records, debuting on the label during its 30th anniversary celebrations and establishing an ongoing relationship with the historic institution. Their trajectory later expanded through releases on the Munich-based imprint Ilian Tape, placing the duo within a generation of artists exploring rhythm-focused approaches to techno. At the core of the project lies a hardware-based live performance where percussion, expressive synthesis and harmonic movement unfold through evolving rhythmic patterns. Occasionally expanding into extended live formats, the performance incorporates piano, opening the music toward deeper and more soulful harmonic exploration. Across clubs and festivals throughout Europe, Fireground have developed a reputation for groove-heavy performances that move fluidly between techno and house contexts while remaining unmistakably alive on the dancefloor.

Andrey Pushkarev

Born in 1981 in a tiny town of the Pre-Ural region, Votkinsk. Andrey made his way to the worldwide underground scene by collecting and successfully playing vinyl records for over 25 years. A vinyl collector, his special and deep taste for sound is recognizable and respected in more than 60 countries. From Australia to the US, South America, Asia, and Africa. The career of a professional DJ started at the age of 15. Despite limited resources of getting any alternative information on underground culture and music before and after the Soviet Union collapsed, his passion for electronic sound still developed rapidly and evolved into dedicating his whole life to it. Constant searches and desire to share precious finds involved in a life’s time work so now he is spinning vinyl in clubs, all-scale festivals, and broadcasting at Boiler Room, Mixmag Lab, and live streams. In 2006, he became a resident DJ of the unique web radio DeepMix.ru which was broadcasting non-commercial techno music for free and without any advertising to listeners from 53 countries till the end of the summer of 2011. In 2013, he appeared as the main protagonist of the documentary film Kvadrat which explores the realities of DJing, shot by Anatoliy Ivanov in 5 countries. This movie had a huge impact on the underground community because it showed the other, more vulnerable side of the profession and revealed a romanticized illusion of the life of an electronic artist. As a producer, He mainly focuses now on ambient and dub sound, as an opportunity to state an inward-outward message, not influenced by short-lived hype. The releases and remixes can be found at labels like Circus Company, Endless, Lessizmore, and Thule Records. Also, he is producing and curating music for his label, Luck of Access which was opened in 2017 and provides a space for artists to reveal the unknown sides of their musical style.

Colin Benders

As a 17 year old trumpet player Colin Benders already toured Europe, South Africa and Indonesia. At the age of 22 he started Kyteman’s Hiphop Orchestra with which he won various prestigious prizes and awards like the Dutch Pop Prize 2009, an Edison and the Silver Harp. But yet after one year he decided that it was necessary to put an end to this project, despite its enourmous acclamation, in order to explore different musical pathways. With its successor, The Kyteman Orchestra, Benders took a more classical approach with opera singers and a choir which entailed bringing more than 50 people on stage for every concert. Contrasting the meticulous musical organisation of a vast project like that, the next step Benders took with The Kyteman Orchestra was a series of completely improvised concerts : no scores, not a single note, scheme or key was prepared before stepping on stage, except a sort of sign language with which Benders could communicate during the concert with his musicians. And once again after The Jam Sessions Benders decided that it was time to go down a very different path. No more shows with a complete orchestra on stage, but just himself with an orchestra hidden in a couple of boxes filled with (mainly analogue) synthesizer modules. With the setup he built, Benders takes a polyphonic/harmonic approach which is both refreshing and reminiscent of the dawn of the synthesizer era.

Legowelt

His vast musical output spans many different worlds – some real, some imagined - and does so in a unique and captivating fashion that keeps listeners enthralled. Since first emerging in the early nineties as a key part of the Dutch West Coast scene and Bunker family, he has become a core member of that crew who takes inspiration from Detroit and Chicago pioneers but also fantasy films and sci-fi culture, and is nowadays a modern day techno pin-up in his own rite. What's more, rarely does a year go by when he doesn't release an essential album. Most frequently producing as Legowelt, his unique style comes form an unfaltering devotion to hardware, be it old, new or totally knackered. Jamming all day long on music making toys, his output veers from dense and foresty techno to whizzing electro, deeper electronic and stuff for which there isn't even a name yet. Clone, L.I.E.S., Creme Organization, Peoples Potential Unlimited, Dekmantel, you name it, they have all come calling for the man's music. Quite simply the guy is an artist and musical force that cannot be stopped.

Nadia Struiwigh

Dutch DJ and producer known for textural, ambient-leaning and emotionally resonant techno.

Tauceti (FR)

Tauceti has been one of the figures of this new generation of techno artists to follow very closely for a few years now. First as a DJ, where she distills a dark, tropical and sensual techno with percussive and vaporous rhythms in her mix. She further stands for a very particular elegance and a certain, clearly audible maturity, which makes her stand out. Tauceti then also stepped up as a producer, thanks to collaborations and EPs, the last of which appeared on the 30D Records in 2022. Through this work of exploration of and in between sonorous patterns, she demonstrates her talent to break down silos, oscillating between ambient and techno, between strange reverie and raw realism, between bright lights and heavy tablecloths.

Vladimir Ivkovic

Vladimir Ivkovic is a DJ. He’s more than that of course, but as his essence, Ivkovic is someone with a particularly unique talent for selecting records and weaving them into a larger – and often unusually compelling – narrative. Born and raised in Belgrade, he first dabbled in DJing as a teenager in the mid ’80s, but it was only after leaving Yugoslavia (to study in Germany) and later coming back for a summertime visit that he truly immersed himself in the craft, taking up position behind the decks during a series of impromptu parties at a lakeside restaurant owned by his parents. From there, he spent much of the next two decades honing his skills while throwing events like Selected and Substance that played host to a cross-section of boundary-pushing DJs, long before it was fashionable to do so. Eventually, Ivkovic found his musical and spiritual home at Salon des Amateurs, an unassuming spot in Düsseldorf that’s gradually proven to be wildly influential, giving rise in recent years to otherworldly talents like Lena Willikens, Tolouse Low Trax, Jan Schulte and many others, including Ivkovic himself. With its small size, Salon des Amateurs provided something of an open platform, a place where true music lovers could experience DJs exploring sounds and genres that strayed far from traditional electronic dance music tropes. That same adventurous spirit has found its way into Ivkovic’s curation of Offen Music, a label he launched in 2015. Although the imprint’s output is all but impossible to neatly categorize – experimental Serbian rarities sit alongside ambient excursions and moody synth-pop in the label’s catalogue – the label’s open-minded approach and embrace of off-kilter sounds perfectly encapsulates Ivkovic’s artistic temperament. In recent years, that temperament has increasingly found devoted followers all around the globe. Simply put, Ivkovic has become a staple of the European club circuit; despite his many years in the humble confines of Salon des Amateurs, he’s proven to be just as comfortable at celebrated nightspots like De School (Amsterdam), Berghain (Berlin), Nitsa (Barcelona), Kaiku (Helsinki), Sub Club (Glasgow), Phonox (London), Fold (London), Corsica Studios (London), The White Hotel (Manchester), Mutabor (Moscow), Pacha (Ibiza), Blitz (Munich), Zukunft (Zurich), Concrete (Paris), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), Circoloco (Ibiza) and others too numerous to list. He’s no stranger to touring either, having taken extended DJ trips to Canada (September 2017), Asia (July 2018), Australia (January 2018), Brazil and Colombia (March 2018), USA (2019, April 2022, 2023 and 2024), Brazil (September 2022). Even the festival circuit has come calling, inviting Ivkovic and his inventive rhythms to large-scale events like Primavera Sound, Unsound, World Minimal Music, Houghton, Strange Sounds from Beyond, Dekmantel, Flow, TodaysArt, Robot, Waking Life, Terraforma, Dancity, Positive Education, Elevate, Love International, Dimensions, Kala, Sziget, The Crave, and special gatherings like Convenanza … and that’s just a partial list. Still, despite all of these international adventures, Ivkovic has kept his focus on music, especially the dark and often psychedelic sounds that lurk in its unexplored corners. Each month, he distilled some of that love into Lunatic Love Songs, a much-loved and sonically borderless program on Red Bull Radio. He still does it with his frequent contributions for Noods Radio, Kiosk Radio, Oddity Radio or ROVR to name a few. Whether he’s broadcasting on the radio or piloting the dancefloor, Ivkovic is someone who applies a curatorial mindset and a deep love of music to all of his creative exploits. Yes, he’s a DJ, but he’s so much more than that; he’s a storyteller, a connoisseur and, most importantly, an artist.

Alba Heidari

Growing up in Madrid, where she garnered her DJing experience, Alba Heidari has consistently sought to explore a range of different genres. With a comprehensive knowledge of drum n bass, breaks, hardcore, hardtek, electro, and even gothic industrial, she defined her technical prowess and discovered the raw industrial techno that pulls together her versatile sound. Whether she is utilising vinyl or digital sources for her blistering DJ sets, Alba’s uncanny mix of punishing and playful has made her a growing staple at parties in Spain and in London, including a residency at Aria. She formed the collective "D.T.V" (Decoding The Void) with frequent collaborator Manson X to further sharpen their skills and bring theirs and other artists’ music to a broader audience. Alba’s bold sound stands in sharp contrast with her modest character. Her passion for finding unknown, local, and underrated releases benefits the underground dance music community at large while the original tracks charge her DJ sets with a unique energy that defies mainstream trends.

Voicedrone

Lasha Jorjoliani is an often-unreadable enigma, lending much of his time to his studio, curating line-ups and sharpening his performances in the booth. Although an undeniable figurehead of the scene, Voicedrone is by no means explicitly tied to co-founding FOLD. Four years on, Lasha is in an indestructible one-way lane, having developed a graphic, dynamic sound that we come together to experience. At his core is a passion to create and nurture community; this purpose is channelled into every event he plays - here at home, in Europe and beyond. Playing at influential venues and parties including his beloved HTBX London has preserved his significance in the underground scene and his constant admiration from the FOLD family. The phrase “leading by example” may be somewhat overused, but in the case of Voicedrone, such a statement is entirely appropriate.
