Rui Vargas

Lux-Frágil’s music director and resident since day 1, Rui keeps a lifelong love affair with the art of sharing music – the right record, at the right time. A radio host and DJ since 1988 – having played alongside an all-star who’s who of House and Techno -, his eagerness for freshness and quality is translated into being one of the country’s most in-demand DJs. A unique trendsetter, he showcases this ability not only with his bi-weekly show on the national public radio but obviously also behind the decks (his six-hour long sets being a Saturday night staple with a cult following) and, ultimately, working for the melting pot that is Lux’s musical programming.

Ze Salvador

Ze Salvador started his career in 1994 and acquire a reputation as one of the best and most experienced DJs in the country. His unyielding love for music and digging has also kept him at the forefront of the constant flow of electronic music. Versatile, groundbreaking, and always a step ahead, Ze Salvador was, and remains, connected to many decisive moments and movements of this collective history. In the 90’s, he founded and was a resident at the mythical Urbansound Club in Porto, putting his personal stamp in the growth of the scene in the north of the country and influenced tastes as a selector and curator of the Valentim De Carvalho record store. In 2001, along with Tozé Diogo, he compiled and mixed the “Chill On Kaos Vol. 2” for the historical Kaos Records, considered the best Portuguese mix-CD of that year. In 2007 he moved to Lisbon and opened the most esteemed micro-club in the city, Brownie, and became a central figure at Bloop Recordings. In the south, he was resident and curator of Espera-m’ Entrando Club in Zambujeira do Mar from 2004 to 2016. In 2014, together with João Maria and Jorge Caiado, he founded the record store Carpet & Snares Records. Over the years Ze Salvador has been a regular presence at the most important clubs and festivals in the country and shows no signs of slowing down in what is already an accomplished career. He is currently resident and music programmer at the 5A Club in Lisbon.

Tiago DJ

Tiago, is an eclectic underground DJ and producer from Lisbon, Portugal. As a DJ he is acclaimed for his blend between all kinds of music, and his love for long sets with a solid base in house, techno, disco and left-field music mixed with a punk ethos. One half of the duo Scam Dust (w/ his friend Shcuro from Paraiso Records), he has been producing music under numerous aliases, while doing remixes and collaborations. He also runs various labels releasing his own material in a constant unpredictable flow. As a producer, DJ and musician, Tiago and his extensive discography have played a significant role in the reawakening of love and interest in the various shades of leftfield dance music over the last decade across the world. He's been a resident DJ at club Lux Frágil since 1998.
