About this event

After a successful first edition in 2025, we are excited to continue silent green Open Lab – a format for Berlin-based musicians, and performance artists who are taking their first steps onto the stage.

Shu and Frieda
The Mani is an experimental performance and sound research project by artistic duo Shu and Frieda that investigates how language is engineered, preserved, and altered as a cultural product. The project centers on the 90s Cantonese romantic pop ballad, a genre deeply tied to identity, nostalgia, and migration, and traces its resonance through two distinct biographical trajectories: Shu, born in Taiwan(1995), and Frieda, born in Hong Kong (1992).

By transforming language from an oral tradition into an unstable, processed sonic landscape, The Mani exposes the internal friction of cultural assimilation and memory. It presents the body and its utterances not as static archives, but as sites of continuous negotiation.

GLTR Mauer
GLTR Mauer makes intuitive, genre-fluid music influenced by shoegaze, video game soundtracks, hardcore punk, hyperpop, and ’90s house. In June 2026, he self-released his debut album, Nerd Machine Vol. 1.
