Transparent Sound
Transparent Sound was originally formed in 1994 by Orson Bramley and Martin Brown, making it one of the UK's longest running electro acts. After Martin left the duo to pursue other avenues some years ago, Transparent Sound has continued with Orson at the helm. Orson grew up during the heady days of acid house’s first wave in 1987/88. Originally a fan of early electro acts and the breakin’ scene that accompanied it, he was turned on by the illicit electronic thunk and hypnotic grooves of house and techno. Not that he completely lost touch with his roots: in the early ‘90s Orson was a member of legendary UK hip hop act/breakdance crew, Severe Carnage. These days Orson’s style takes in various flavours of electronic funk. Alongside the project he also runs Orson Records (launched in 2004) and in 2019 he introduced the world to his Empty Orchestra side project, and the re-launch of the new Transparent Sound label. “After seeing the rise of vinyl sales again over the last few years and some of the classic early Transparent Sound releases soar in value, I felt people were ready for Electro properly now and may even be getting tired with the usual 4/4” says Orson, promising “high quality forward thinking Electro that isn’t scared to take a few risks.” The first two releases on the label (Empty Orchestra ‘Nervous Smile’ and Transparent Sound ‘What Is Your Name?’) have already set the bar high and will be followed by a new Transparent Sound album, ‘Gently Evil’ to be released in September 2019.
DMX Krew
British electronic music producer (Ed Upton) known for his prolific electro and synth-pop output.
IDA
IDA Bio IDA’s vibrant sets are informed by her deep love of old school techno, breaks and electro, with a modern edge that effortlessly transcends categorisation. Her affinity for sub frequencies, bass and rhythm form the backbone of her sound, resulting in a unique style that still retains an irresistible, classic rave touch. Her versatile and charismatic performances are as at home in the most intimate clubs as they are on big festival stages. From Helsinki via Glasgow and Berlin, Ida first made an impact with her renowned Acid Flash parties at Glasgow's legendary Sub Club. She's played notable clubs across Berlin including Globus, ELSE, Wilde Renate and RSO, as well as famed UK venues Fold, Warehouse Project, Hope Works and Motion Bristol. From her own UK Boiler Room tour, and playing B2Bs with Daniel Avery in locations including a secret car park in Paris, to lighting up the stage at Stihia Festival in Uzbekistan, and maintaining her residency on Berlin's Refuge Worldwide radio, her career reflects over a decade of dedication to the craft and to the dancefloor. Ida runs her label Sävy Records with a clear ethos: as DJ Mag noted, “Sävy Records is one of those lowkey labels that prioritizes quality over quantity. Their releases may be intermittent, but each 12-inch is a love letter to clubland’s underground.” Alongside her own debut EP, released in 2024, Sävy has hosted music from artists including Ryan James Ford, Poly Chain, Slacker and Tracing Xircles. In 2025 the label expanded with the launch of Lumo, a new vinyl-only series featuring artists such as Andy Martin, Sansibar and Lewski, further reflecting Ida’s long-term commitment to carefully curated, forward thinking club music.

ARA-U
Venezuelan Electro producer Ara-u’s music career started in the late 90s as a key figure that brought rave culture to his home country through community and events. His early sets held between outdoor events and the country’s clubs, saw Ara-u riff between vinyl and synths with a hybrid set up of a Roland JX-305, turntables and FX seeing him make early moves into acid and breaks. He’s now been based in the UK for over two decades, being a firm part of the rave music community. For a time it was distinctly eclectic and true to the 90s spirit of openness with label Beetroot and released respected UK techno artists Jerome Hill and House of Fix. Production for a while was under the project The Dice. In this time he collaborated with General Levi, Daddy Freddy and Tenor Fly working within electronic reggae and dub. His own DJing continues to blossom, gaining a reputation for tempo-spanning and intriguing mixing; bringing together influences of rave culture and abstract electronics. His bookings have taken him on American & European tours, as well as regular gigs across the UK. He first started playing on the radio, developing a unique take on experimental and electronic music, incorporating regular interviews. Animating several shows on different stations during the last 10 years, he regularly offers listeners 2 hours of exploration. Back in April 2017, his radio passion was the basis starting his own station, a community project called 199Radio which quickly grew into a thriving, internationally recognised project.
