About this event

Welcome back to River Sound!

River Sound is a three-day, deeply intimate gathering hidden away from city noise, in a UNESCO forest of Kernave, in Lithuania. We invite you to step into a collective, psychedelic journey where electronic music, visual art, and wild nature bring together a community that we cherish so much.

For us, the festival location in the forest of Kernavė is not just a temporary festival site, it is the land we live on, care for, and breathe year-round. Every August, we’re excited to share a magical weekend with you.

This year marks a very special milestone for us: It's our 5th anniversary. To honor this journey, we have spent the entire year quietly building, shaping, and preparing the grounds to make this gathering our most immersive and extraordinary we ever have created. Thanks to our strong and supportive community, we couldn't do it without them.

Our curation remains rooted in the local Lithuanian electronic music and arts scene, while welcoming our favourite international artists who share our vision. We’re very excited to invite you to come to experience our high-end tuned soundsystem, that many festivals are missing. That was our dream, to build a quality festival with the best sound, tuned by the best sound-engineer of Baltics. You don't want to miss out this sound experience!

Beyond the dance floor, our shared space offers slow mornings by the river, grounding practices, movement workshops, and moments to simply breathe.

Celebrate the fifth anniversary of River Sound Festival with us. See you August 14-16, in the forest of Kernave, Lithuania.

Lineup

Ario

Iranian-born, London-based DJ and founder of Astral Industries, known for deep, immersive ambient and dub techno.

Na Nich

Born in Dnipro, Alexander started his musical journey in the late 1990s and quickly made a name for himself under the moniker "Sunchase" with a series of successful releases in the drum & bass scene. He was featured on prominent imprints like Moving Shadow, Metalheadz, Hospital, and others. After moving to Kyiv, Alexander expanded his musical repertoire and added new genres to his style, which deepened his sound while maintaining its cutting-edge quality. During this time, he founded the labels Kvadrat and 22:22, and became a founding member of Rhythm Büro, a techno initiative in Kyiv that brings together the genre's most innovative minds to various unique locations across the city. Rhythm Büro has since become well-known both in Ukraine and internationally, not only as an event brand, but also as a musical imprint that features some of Alexander's works under the newly established alias "Na Nich". As a sought-after techno and breakbeat producer, Alexander is now a highly accomplished mastering engineer with a solid portfolio of impressive releases and projects. His music has reached beyond dance floors and music collections, with some of his tracks appearing in games by Rockstar Games and Sony Computer Entertainment. Today, Alexander focuses on his solo live sets, as well as live performances with his wife Vera Logdanidi, which range from techno to house. He has performed at venues such as Bassiani, Brave Factory, Natura, Closer, and others, and has been featured on Svreca's Semantica Records, Delsin Records and Oblique Music NL. Regardless of the genre, Alexander's music is characterized by his signature groove and engineering perfection, and he remains forward-thinking in his approach.

Ekkel

Teo Bachs (otherwise known as Ekkel - and various other aliases) is the co-founder of Norway's Ute crew that grew quickly from smoke filled mornings on the Norwegian forest floor to showcases at Bassiani and the bush parties of Australia. Founded in 2017, the Ute label boasts a cult-like following for its approach to psychedelic trance music as well as long form downtempo and chill out sounds presented on sub labels Sinensis and Translusid. From the studio he emits a modern take on Nordic electronic of the ‘90s that is as mental as it is progressive, diving head first into breaks and percussive trips as Ekkel. Together with Mikkel Rev and Oprofressionell he is Solar Alliance, a live project that unfurls extended trance journeys recorded and arranged in a matter of days. Consistently pushing mind melting sounds through his involvement in groups like Ipeo and The Dosadi Experiments and an ever evolving style in newer projects like H25 and Alvar, Ekkel sits firmly at the forefront of the underground. In the booth Teo has developed a reputation as a marathon DJ, often with Marius Bø as Accelerationsim, regularly playing for hours on end and turning dance floors into states of mass euphoria. From an infamous 18 hour closing at Outsider Festival with Mikkel Rev, Oprofressionell and Marius Bø to solo performances at Seismic Festival and Accelerationism sets at Organik Festival, he is trusted for skilled, on the spot selections. His latest mix for Bassiani consists of 100 per cent unreleased projects, many of which will be released in the coming months.

Mary Yuzovskaya

Cerebral, powerful and unique best sum up Berlin-based Mary Yuzovskaya's take on techno. Despite coming up in the mid-2000s, Mary's route into techno is as rooted in the culture as it gets. While an initial stint in Berlin cemented a reputation for Mary's precise approach to her craft as a vinyl-only DJ who explores the subtleties of techno, it was a move to NYC in 2013 which took her career as an artist to the next level. Numerous residencies, not least a three-year run at the influential Unter, helped refine Yuzovskaya's unhurried, storytelling sound whilst developing a dedicated audience on the dance floor and the wider techno scene. Away from the decks and studio, her work as vinyl distribution manager at legendary Brooklyn record shop Halcyon provided the perfect stepping-off point for her vinyl-only imprint, Monday Off. A label she neatly describes as 'psychedelic techno', Monday Off has ploughed its furrow since 2017 and has introduced music from some of techno's most forward-thinking and out-of-the-ordinary artists. Back in Berlin since 2020, Mary's momentum continues with a diary that heavily features standout clubs and events like Berghain, Basement (NY), Gare (Porto), Hall (Tallinn), IFZ (Leipzig), Kablys (Vilnus), Pax Romana (Amsterdam), Rote Sonne (Munich), Smart Bar (Chicago) and Tresor (Berlin) whilst releases on such labels as Attic, Kvalia, Mnestic and Semantica, as well as her own Monday Off, help her reach an ever-growing fanbase. While trends ebb and flow in techno, Mary Yuzovskaya stands steadfast with her singular voice and vision.

Zemög

Brnr

Brnr has organized large-scale nighttime events for a decade, and has been a significant contributor to the underground scene in Norway through his platforms, OMG and Soria. He plays music originating from his own label and its associates in various hypnotic cults of Scandinavia. Introvert, esoteric, and delicate techno with eclectic breaks into primal territories. His sound is rooted in deep and seductive rhythms with a backdrop of all-pervading ambience which creates space, and new possibilities for the listener. He facilitates deep voyages into the mind by subtly unfolding layers of overtones, rugged textures, field recordings, trancy percussion and gloomy haze - always playing for the current crowd, inspired by the present moment, without a plan for where his sets are going.

Matas Petrikas

Trippsy

It is hard to determine the real origin behind TripPsy, however it is clear that he found his natural habitat in Kyiv, Ukraine. The most recent incarnation emerged alongside his latest collaboration with two new unexpected friends - together they formed THP. Under this bizarre union, they were elevated to the next level - taking the city by storm and rapidly becoming infamous as one of the besthidden local diggers. Within the next years, TripPsy further widened his reach, as he became a resident of the phenomenon known as Closer. TripPsy’s sound is unlike any other, appart from unreleased material of him and his friends – he possesses a vast, ever-growing collection of dance and experimental records focused in the weird and obscure. Drawing influences from the 80s and 90s electronica of the world, a distinct psychedelic mandala takes form whilst browsing his record bag. Its an intricate selection of music showcasing a wide span of genres like ambient, down-tempo, drone and noise - apart from the myriad of techno, trance, minimal, house and electro records. TripPsy’s style is best illustrated with a short description of a moment, when the morning rays are just about to permeate the air… It is a crisp dawn and the party is raging onwards. The people are soul bound to the dance-floor, stuck in a in a marinade of epic rhythms and freaky synthesis, they are being slowly brewed according to his special recipe. The infusions are hard to determine, they swerve between genres with ease and precision; incorporating perlonizing grooves with elastic breaks and zappy electro with deep techno elements…There is no escape from the event horizon, welcome to his realm and buckle up for a TripPsyfying journey!

Kameu

Kameu is one of the most active and hard-working techno heads in Lithuania. Having started his DJ career more than a decade ago he is constantly honing his mixing and selection skills within diverse venues and line-up contexts. This is clearly manifested in his affiliations with atmospheric and darker techno enthusiasts Black Wave. Thus, his sets could be heard in the wilderness of Lithuanian woods, among the concrete walls of underground nightclubs in Berlin, Porto, and Lisbon to name a few or even Boiler Room broadcast. Kameu’s own sets are as diverse as his activities ranging from functional techno madness to immersive deeper sounds or even ambientish pulsations, from old-school to cutting-edge tracks. He carefully merges the sensibilities required for both listening and dancefloor experiences.
