Point of No Return

On 31st October, we take over Avalon Cafe for a night in another universe.

A place where the air is heavy and the floor melts beneath our feet. Where mass is no longer what we know. We become see-through. We become stardust.

Our bodies are no longer ours, but fragments caught in Jupiter’s rings. Our eyes become goggles playing records from the 90s on an endless loop. Memories fade. The warped signal of rusty cassettes turns into light. Time stretches. Gravity gives way.

By morning, Max could no longer tell where memory ended and the signal began.

Inside his reopened scar, he found a cassette marked PLAY ME in his own handwriting.

Every screen flickered on.

Max dissolved into light, scattering across the universe as stardust.
