The intersection between sacred and experimental music is the theme of the second evening of Paradise Must Be Nice: Petra Hermanova combines folk and sacred traditions with autoharp, organ, and chamber choir to explore loss and spirituality, together with Sebstian Heindl & Ensemble Memoria. Maria W Horn and Mats Erlandsson conclude the evening with a presentation of their ongoing site-specific project ‘The Spectral Organ’, which deconstructs elements of religious musical language through non-traditional harmonies, intervals, and electronic processing.
