Fafi Abdel Nour

Growing up as a first generation Syrian-born kid, the struggles of integrating into the Dutch society while balancing his Arabic heritage and burgeoning queerness proved to be a struggle - often finding himself in between worlds, caught amidst maintaining his inner pride and sense of self against a world that he strained to see himself in. Through the desire to find harmony within a lifetime of dissonance, Fafi found dance music in his young adulthood. While his connection to the music was powerful and provided a necessary level of personal reprieve, he soon realized there was a need for more participation from artists and DJs of color in the scene. Fafi’s queer clubnights at OOST in Groningen were born out of this resolve to create community empowerment for marginalized people to transcend beyond the oppressive dominant culture surrounding them. As a DJ, Fafi never fails to captivate dancers into a sense of timelessness & otherworldly joy. His sets distill the liberatory kinetics of house music down to its very essence, embodying an era of music unaffected by genre-constraints or rules. Dissolving boundaries between sound, movement and being, dancers can expect everything from spellbinding melodic passages, house-inflected body music and enchanted breakbeats melded into flourishes of ecstatic sensation. Oscillating between jubilance and insight with a distinctive sense of narrative and technical finesse, Fafi’s selections expand the universe of mystic, passionate and evocative strains of house - tapping into the source of music’s fundamental ability to transform lives, through a deeply personal level of expression transmuted directly from his soul through the speakers. Always encouraging us to connect with one another and celebrate the myriad of differences we share in our world, Fafi’s vibration has radiated simply by embodying his truth and encouraging others to do the same for themselves. Currently based in Amsterdam and with a slew of gigs only continuing to manifest throughout the world, his mantra remains the same no matter where the music is played - Love is the message

tINI

German DJ and producer, Desolat affiliate known for groovy, stripped-back minimal tech-house.

Ineffekt

Releases 'High Hopes' (EP, 2023) and ‘Something Bubbly / There You Go’ with Tsepo (EP, 2023) on Intercept, as well as a string of remixes including Avalon Emerson's ‘Karaoke Song’ and Luna Morgenstern’s ‘Click Work Drop’ capture the above. Surrounding themselves with influences from a wide range of contemporary music, it’s not so much aiming for a specific, but reaching for a compromise between eras and stylistically diverse sounds. The past two years of work resulted in esteemed artists and platforms in the left-field embracing his output. Following his debut EP, Ineffekt broadened his horizon by exploring hypermodern contemporary music that resulted in a run of original productions and remixes, including his forthcoming record due in 2025, that have influences from all over the place, most notably electro, house and altpop, as well as hints from a new wave of colorful electronica that has been developing in recent years. Consequently the 23-year-old supported Avalon Emerson, Bicep, Bonobo, Disclosure, Mall Grab and Sammy Virji, as well as performed at Draaimolen, Dekmantel, DGTL, Lowlands, Best Kept Secret and prominent dance floors like De School, Nitsa and Club Raum.

JAEL

His passion for music all began when he grew up with soul/funk classics & Vinyl. His parents are funk & soul lovers, so Jaël started to embrace these vibes and wanted to make his own music. Jaël came into contact with the guitar, drums, keys and started to realize that playing music is his destiny. Playing instruments become second nature to him, but a few years later he was exploring some music programmes, and felt like making music on his old Windows PC. Jaël mixed his soul & funk feels with his electronic vibes and combined it with a touch of smoothness & Beats. His most favourite artists are: Sango, Anderson Paak, J-Dilla, Kaidi Tatham, DEGO, Steve Spacek, Domu, Butcher Brown, DJ Harrison, Mndsgn, Dwele, Slum Village, Erykah Badu, Flying Lotus, D'Angelo, DJ Rob Manga, Mayer Hawthorne, Kendrick Lamar, BJ The Chicago Kid and many more. As a Deejay he's still fully inspired by his uncle DJ Rob Manga. Jaël was growing into the dutch Deejay scene and came in contact with great names like Jarreau Vandal, Full Crate, The Flexican & also was booked at the biggest festivals in The Netherlands such as Latin Village & Eastville Festival. Currently, Jaël is searching and creating his own sound and is busy on his debut EP that is scheduled to drop in 2017. It contains influences of artists such as Bryson Tiller, D'Angelo & Anderson .Paak. In the past few years Jaël got really inspired by these soulfull artists. The EP contains acoustic songs & futuristic sounds. Jaël is known as a remixer/beatmaker/deejay, but he is also a singer. So be on the lookout for Jaël's vocals & instrumental sounds. Stay on his grind.

Lefto Early Bird

Underneath the warm sun that hangs over Brussels, a tiny three-by-three metre shack pumps out tunes day and night to a dancing crowd of onlookers. LeFtO is at the controls of Kiosk Radio, a perfectly placed wooden hut in the centre of Parc De Bruxelles. “Good day to you all outside the Kiosk, live from the park. Thank you for coming through,” says the soothing voice of LeFtO. The chatroom pings with hundreds of messages from around the globe as the crowds gradually tune in for another session out of leftfield from the Belgian music connoisseur. Lefto Early Bird fuels a hub of listeners with an appetite for new sounds, week in, week out. Becoming a household name at Kiosk Radio, as well as mainstay station Studio Brussel, LeFtO always has his finger on the pulse. A quick peek at the DJ’s Mixcloud reveals a hearty range of genres - with everything from house to rap to jazz and more. Fusing sounds from Belgium’s melting pot of musical talent with his relentless passion for new sounds, LeFtO has gone on to work with major names and labels including Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings, Blue Note, BBE, Universal Music, SDBAN and many more. Cutting his teeth on jazz and new beat, a genre that moulded the shape of electronic music in 80s Belgium, LeFtO formed his early tastemaker know-how via his dad’s record collection. “My father mostly played jazz at home, he had a serious collection which I still own myself. I was probably 14 years old when I asked him for money to buy some records,” he says. “With a certain pride, most of what I liked was made in Belgium”. More a selector than anything else, LeFtO continues Belgium’s tireless musical legacy through his extensive palate, brimming with flavour. https://linktr.ee/lefto

Jasmin (UK)

Pinch

The artist known as Pinch is a pioneer of dubstep, the sound that sparked one of the biggest waves of musical creativity ever seen in the UK. Subloaded, which he began in his adopted hometown of Bristol back in 2004, was the first dedicated dubstep and grime night outside of FWD>> in London, and to this day the impact of the party still ripples through Bristol's bass community. Techno's endless permutations are as much an inspiration as dub in Pinch's music. His DJ sets and productions take the term "dub techno" not as a concrete blueprint laid down by Basic Channel in the 1990s, but as a creative springboard to explore and combine two of the most versatile music styles ever conceived. The bass and dynamics of dub are interwoven with the tense soundscapes and atmospheres of techno. This is why you might find Pinch scorching the dance floor at a techno club one week, before rolling out a set of the heaviest dub, dubstep and dancehall the next. The strength and flexibility of Pinch's sound has naturally created a global demand for his DJ sets. Beyond regularly playing in the UK and Europe, he's toured in over 40 countries, which has included the USA, Canada, Japan, China, Australasia, South East Asia, Russia and Mexico. This ongoing activity has also been reflected in media and radio interest. Pinch has recorded mixes for BBC R1, 1Xtra, Kiss FM, Resident Advisor, FACT and Red Bull (with whom he's worked on various projects), while his 2012 session for the Fabriclive series remains a landmark in his career. The vehicle for so much of Pinch's work down the years has been Tectonic. Since founding the label in 2005, he's released music from trailblazers like Loefah, Skream, Scientist, 2562, Photek, Digital Mystikz, Distance, Flying Lotus, Joker, Addison Groove and Peverelist, and he continues to cultivate fresh talent who have an eye on club music's future. Seminal Pinch releases like the 2007 album Underwater Dancehall and tracks such as "Midnight Oil," "Blow Out The Candle" and "The Boxer" have all appeared on Tectonic. Away from home, his releases and remixes have featured on leading labels like Planet Mu, Soul Jazz, Punch Drunk, Deep Medi, Swamp 81, Ninja Tune, Warp, Wichita, Wax and On-U Sound, collaborations that have yielded a few bass music classics—"Qawwali," "Punisher," "Croydon House," "Swish." This openness to collaboration has been one of Pinch's defining artistic characteristics. He's worked with a broad swathe of club music producers down the years, which more recently has included a partnership with Mumdance that's given us anthems like "Turbo Mitzi," "Strobe Light" and "Big Slug," which featured Riko Dan. Pinch's collaborative work in the album format has also lived long in the memory. In 2011, he linked with the inimitable Shackleton to write an album for Honest Jons, while his ongoing work with the legendary Adrian Sherwood has so far produced two albums, 2015's Late Night Endless and 2017's Man Vs Sofa. The pair toured the globe together playing live dub sets as Pinch & Sherwood. Moving into 2019, and with a deadly 12-inch for Berceuse Heroique soon to drop, Pinch has lined up a brand new series of collaborations that will be tearing through soundsystems in the near future. A follow-up to 2007's Underwater Dancehall album is also in the works, a project that will build upon the longstanding foundations laid down by one of UK club music's true originals.

Ryan Elliott

Ryan Elliott has spent the past two decades of his esteemed career effortlessly bridging the gap between different artistic expectations. Growing up as a DJ in Detroit, but coming into his own in Berlin, his sets expand on each city’s styles. A resident at Berghain and Panorama Bar, he refuses to be aligned with just techno or house, instead highlighting their optimal overlaps. And as a producer, remixer, and founder of his own label, Faith Beat, Elliott releases music that is playable but unpredictable, perfectly calibrated for dancefloor impact and enduring enjoyment. No matter what form his musical expression takes, with Elliott listeners always seem to get the best of both worlds. Launched in 2019, Faith Beat is an organic extension of Elliott’s passions as a DJ, producer and voracious record collector. A home for music that is thoughtful and loose, precise yet approachable, Faith Beat is not a one-way street, but an ongoing conversation between Elliott and the crowds he plays for, the producers he loves and the records he buys. As a DJ, Elliott delivers sets that slice energetically across the house and techno divide, a revelatory approach that's infused with a deep respect for his selections. This ethos also manifests in the monthly charts Elliott has published since 2003, insisting on giving a proper platform to whatever he plays. As with all of his efforts, Elliott doesn’t pit one place or style against each other, continuing to pursue a sleek and transportive fusion.
