NOTMAINSTREAM is an independent festival that values artists for their talent, not the hype.

Every year, more than 10,000 artists submit music to NOTMAINSTREAM. Fewer than 500 earn a place in our playlists, and less than 1% ultimately make it into ELEVIN's sets.

The journey doesn't stop there.

The artists and tracks that stand out become part of the NOTMAINSTREAM ecosystem, with selected artists invited to perform at our events around the world.

After editions across the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Portugal in 2025, NOTMAINSTREAM returns to Lisbon for a special Day & Night Festival at the legendary Village Underground.

Start outdoors with panoramic views of Lisbon, food, drinks, and sunset sessions. Continue into the night inside one of the city's most iconic club spaces, transformed with immersive visuals and a powerful sound system.

With more than 150,000 followers, Melodic Techno by NOTMAINSTREAM has become one of the most followed independent melodic techno playlists in the world, helping audiences discover exceptional music before it reaches the mainstream.
