Swayzak

Since 1997, James “darkfarmer” Taylor and David “brun” Brown have been plying their trade as the influential underground electronic act SWAYZAK. In that time they have released 5 studio albums and 2 dj compilations which have awoken the world of electronic music to their signature sound. Starting with the deep dubbed out classic “Snowboarding in Argentina” via the legendary “Fabric 11” cd to singles like “State of Grace”, “Make up your Mind” and “In the Car Crash” and the more experimental works of the “Clicks and Cuts”, not forgeting the acclaimed works on M_nus with Detroit’s Theorem and the all out electro pop assault of 2002's “Dirty Dancing”. Swayzak somehow still manage to be dark, twisted and unmistakable. They have surfed the genres of minimal (when it was called “we have no money for gear”), deep house, dub techno, electro pop, glitch house and click pop yet they are all one thing – THIS IS THE SWAYZAK SOUND ! One of the few electronic bands who play truly live, their sets are never rehearsed or even pre-recorded. Swayzak shows can be chaotic but there is beauty and humanity in the chaos - something amiss from todays linear synced crowd. Their live set is as live as can be as two men with laptops , mixer and outboard effects mix in the spirit of dub . Neither know what the other is planning next ! 100% improvisation as a duo or with extra live band members (vocals Richard Davis , drums Francesco Brini) . October 2010 will be the relaunch of their 240 volts label with major releases to come from several new projects, such as Brown's work with Richard Davis, Taylor's “Lugano Fell” project and a new Swayzak album in the pipeline for 2011. With tracks being used in Hollywood movies, hit tv show Ugly Betty and South Korean kitchen commercials ! The Swayzak sound has crossed the globe yet still remain deeply underground... Live, DJ or in the studio Swayzak are not the norm in this world of dull digital dance and have recently embarked on a VINYL only split release with friends “Greta Cottage workshop” . The records are of the highest quality 180gram vinyl and the artwork will be hand printed by Brown himself. Limited to 350 copies. He first emerged as a producer in 2006 with the famous Berlin Dub on Mixworks Detroit, the label run by Buzz Goree of Underground Resistance fame, before appearing on Bosconi and Bass Culture and delivering some releases for Luciano's Cadenza imprint. Based in Berlin since 2008, Alex has taken advantage of the thriving artistic community around him to kick-start many different projects, including the Hands Up studio collaboration with The Analogue Cops and the Vae Victis label they worked on together, MUS and Illegal Series labels and later projects , like his jam- based studio venture The Kicks with Maayaan Nidam , or Eticone label with Etienne Now as ever Alex has his hands in many projects, from the record distribution Small Black Dots. to his latest project Seekers, that is emerging as a record label and event that harks back to his burning desire to discover more about music and to share that passion with those who feel it too. The line-ups of the events are made of great DJs whom Alex recognizes as digging much deeper than the average dj. Likewise the releases on the Seekers label feature no artist information, at least not for those who arenʼt interested in searching to find out more for themselves. Itʼs a project that comes at the perfect time for someone who has achieved a lot in music, but will always be hungry for more. With Seekers aiming for a more intimate, meaningful experience for everyone involved, itʼs a sign that sometimes the most satisfying route through music is not always the biggest one, and thatʼs what keeps driving Alex Picone on.

Lis Sarroca

DJ & Producer Energetic, innovative and eclectic are just a few words you can choose to describe the prolific sound Lis Sarroca has been propelling in recent years, continuously drawing influences from her half Spanish, half Mexican background, and sprinkling in flavours from her current city of residence, Barcelona. Whether tuning in to one of her genre melding DJ sets around Europe and beyond, her storytelling online mixes for the likes of HÖR Berlin and Rinse FM, or whether you find yourself absorbing her tight and emphatic productions - you will undoubtedly feel the Sarroca effect. Labels that have succumbed to the sounds of the Barcelona based artist of late are Hot Haus Recs, the famous Mobilee Records, and Aterral, to name just a few from her catalogue. During the forthcoming period Lis has signed and sealed releases with Simplexia, and simultaneously a carefully created six track vinyl package on the fantastic Shall Not Fade imprint entitled 'No Wait’, in which Sarroca mixes classy 90s house rhythms with standout melodies.. Despite dabbling in variations on dance music, stripped back disco to punchy tech house rhythms, this record is accomplished and consistent, coming together to deliver memories of sweaty summer club nights. 2021 will also mark the inauguration of Lis’ own label, as she continues to craft the foundations of what is set to become an exciting brand for slick and forward thinking club orientated sounds from herself, friends, and fellow artists, all of whom are accelerating in the same direction as herself. “This milestone chapter of my musical journey will allow me to invent something personal, developing the identity of not just my sound, but also the tribe I am building around me” It is certain that any of the above does not just happen overnight, and to put it quite simply, you could say that dedication could potentially be Lis’ middle name. Devoted to her art, on a voyage to always grow her vast knowledge in the studio and embracing the never ending journey to discover new music, they really do not come more committed than this. Travelling and music are something that go hand in hand for Lis, as she likes to spend her time hopping between countries for gigs, exploring new realms for vinyl gems, drawing inspiration from different cultures as she goes. “I love the inspiration I get from travelling, seeing, smelling and hearing new things. It feeds into everything I do as a DJ and a producer.” Over a decade of playing records, and shortly after beginning to produce, has certainly paid off for the rising talent, gaining her continuous support from the likes of Cinthie, The Blessed Madonna, Disclosure, Ian Pooley, Dj Haus, Jimpster and Demuja. They say music and trends come and go - but one thing for sure is that Lis Sarroca is here to stay, always evolving and developing her sound, rapidly growing as a reputable artist on the circuit and is ready to take her trade to new heights in the next years.

Five things which, on their own, might not seem connected. But join the dots and you’ll see that for Barcelona’s Baldo, each of these represent the many strings to his bow. As a producer, Baldo’s discography speaks for itself. Gerd Janson’s Running Back, Step Recordings and a soon-to-land EP on leftfield outfit E-Beamz showcase the breadth of his output. He’ll shortly be releasing on his own imprint Physical Education, and on Permanent Vacation too, joining the likes of Fort Romeau and Lauer. As a businessman, his Subwax Distribution company has become a global institution, distributing releases for a plethora of vinyl-only outfits. It’s now a go-to service for several of the scene’s leading imprints, including Limousine Dream, Butter Side Up, Haŵs Music, Mindhelmet and Slapfunk to name a few. As a multiple label-owner, his Physical Education, Curated By Time and BLD Tape Recordings imprints represent the styles that make him tick. A ‘90s re-release of Affie Yusuf here, a hard-edged acid offering under his BLD alias there… the productions span across the board, embodying his musical tastes through-and-through. Add to that his former residency at seminal Barcelona nightspot Razzmatazz, one that he’s held down for nearly a decade, and you’ll quickly learn that Baldo’s involvement in dance music runs deep. And at the core of it? His love for music. Now that’s something we can all salute.

At the beginning of 2017 Pau created "La Cúpula Collective". Nowadays formed by Adrià, Ferdinand Monk, Karcelen, Cucut, Polen, Dj Sandwich and recently Arnau Obiols. All members combine their work in the band with other musical projects. We can see them playing in venues like Nitsa Club, SoundEat, Laut and Casa Gràcia. In the studio Pau is working with Adrià on a project together with dutch artist San Proper to release a 4 track EP recorded at La Cúpula Studio in Barcelona. A principios de 2017 creó "La Cúpula Collective". En la actualidad formado por Adrià, Ferdinand Monk, Karcelen, Cucut, Polen, Dj Sandwich y más recientemente Arnau Obiols. Todos los miembros combinan su actividad en el colectivo con otros proyectos musicales. Podemos ver sus shows en salas como Nitsa Club, SoundEat, Laut y Casa Gràcia. A nivel de producción trabaja junto con Adrià. Actualmente están colaborando con el artista holandés San Proper para la grabación de un EP de 4 tracks que saldrá publicado próximamente.

In over 3 years of organizing events in Barcelona with my friend pekkuliar as Kommuna, we invited guests like Vera, XDB, Domenico Rosa & Riccardo, Andrew James Gustav, DJ Masda... and have a monthly residency at tight spot Red58. The sister vinyl label, Kommuna Tapes, had 4 sold out releases so far. My YouTube channel, which started in 2014 as a selection of vinyl rips from my collection, has grown into a nice platform to help promote my peers and fellow electronic music activists. He has played along side some of the greatest Dj’s out there such Waze & Odyssey, Detroit Swindle, Ejeca, Dia, Maxxi Soundsystem, Bonar Bradberry, Till Von Sein, Adam Port, Baldo and James Welsh. In the Studio, Adrian brings his own style of groove with the energy and freshness from his DJ sets to his original productions.

Heather has been surrounded by musical influence since a young age – from jazz to contemporary growing up in performing arts, she cultivated a deep appreciation for music in all its forms, and is now co-founder of NEST Microfestival with a more eclectic focus. She likes to explore different moods in her selections – whether it's downtempo, disco, electro, or those hard-to-define glitchy cuts.

LoLo, deejay y productor desde 2014 nacido en Montevideo, Uruguay. Aunque su apoyo en el house y el techno es firme, posée una amplia capacidad de variar entre todos los géneros dentro de la música electrónica. Sus producciones con un estilo definido, logran colocarse en la corriente contemporánea, fusionando el ritmo con sentimiento. LoLo, deejay and producer since 2014 born in Montevideo, Uruguay. Although its lean to house and techno is firm, it has a wide capacity to vary between all genres of electronic music. His productions with a defined style, achive a place in the contemporary trend, mixing rhythm with feeling.

By exploring and blending a palette of genres from house to tech house, minimal to 90s-2000s electro, he refined his musical style. Currently in Barcelona, Varan merged with Mirador Barcelona, and became one of the resident.

Demofather

Demofather is a Barcelona-based DJ and selector who has crafted a sound where organic textures and futuristic elements coexist in harmony. His carefully curated sets are built around emotional journeys, maintaining a coherent and immersive essence. Shaped between London and Berlin, his musical vision blends narrative depth with technical precision. He is the co-founder of Post Panic, a collective created alongside Waffle, focused on intense club nights with a raw, direct, and emotional sound. At the same time, he is an active member of Rostro Soundsystem, a community-driven project organizing open-air events defined by a handcrafted sound system and unique vibes that emphasize the bond between music, environment, and audience. These two sides —the high-energy club intensity of Post Panic and the warm, immersive atmosphere of Rostro— define Demofather’s sonic identity: an honest, versatile, and deeply present musical experience. Through these projects, he has collaborated with renowned collectives and labels such as Slow Life, cementing his place within the independent electronic scene.

Vince Void

His productions guide listeners through an eclectic musical pilgrimage that ranges from African edits to a swirlpool of acid house and Italo disco. With an enduring love for synths and vintage hardware, he infuses his music with a timeless vibration that brings back memories from the 80s and 90s. Born in Paris in the early 1990s to a French mother and Catalan father, Vince grew up in the city of lights, spending most of his youth immersed in piano lessons and playing bass in rock bands. Once he turned 18, he decided to move to Barcelona and many new discoveries turned his world upside down, thrusting him into the bewitching macrocosm that is disco and electronic music scene. After buying his first synth, a Nord Lead 2x, it was already too late, Vince was hooked. Even during his forays into the business world, he was never able to shake off the itch. He needed to be connected to music not only on a personal level, but on a professional one as well. This passion culminated in the 2022 release of his first EP track “Paral.lel”, along his good friends Adrià and Pau Rosés, with the Barcelona-based label @Cupularecordings. As of today, he has launched his own label and event series, SEGUIM Records with a first well-acclaimed EP reaching top 1 of global charts on Deejay.de. While he awaits the release of his upcoming tracks with Simple Times and Tresydos Records, he continues his dream of making a unique footprint on the world of music.

Alex Garcia masterfully bridges the nostalgia of the past with the vibrancy of the present, crafting music that draws from an eclectic spectrum of cultures, instruments, and styles. Born and raised in Barcelona in the early 1990s, Alex's passion for electronic music ignited in his early 20s, inspired by the city’s thriving club and rave scene. This formative period not only shaped his taste but also launched his DJ career, setting him on a path of creative exploration. In 2023, Alex co-founded Seguim Records alongside Vince Void. The label and event series quickly garnered recognition, with two acclaimed releases already under its belt and more exciting projects slated for 2025.
