About this event

Mystic Garden Echo’s of Amsterdam. A Reflection of the City.

It takes place across several areas, with different sounds running at the same time, some familiar, others less so. The programme takes shape through the local artists, organisers and collectives who take part. There is no hierarchy; each set has its place and follows for a reason.

Music and art move alongside one another, forming a single day rather than separate moments.

Echo’s doesn’t announce what the city is. It shows a moment of it, as it exists now.

You step in. The rest unfolds.

Essy

Fafi Abdel Nour

Growing up as a first generation Syrian-born kid, the struggles of integrating into the Dutch society while balancing his Arabic heritage and burgeoning queerness proved to be a struggle - often finding himself in between worlds, caught amidst maintaining his inner pride and sense of self against a world that he strained to see himself in. Through the desire to find harmony within a lifetime of dissonance, Fafi found dance music in his young adulthood. While his connection to the music was powerful and provided a necessary level of personal reprieve, he soon realized there was a need for more participation from artists and DJs of color in the scene. Fafi’s queer clubnights at OOST in Groningen were born out of this resolve to create community empowerment for marginalized people to transcend beyond the oppressive dominant culture surrounding them. As a DJ, Fafi never fails to captivate dancers into a sense of timelessness & otherworldly joy. His sets distill the liberatory kinetics of house music down to its very essence, embodying an era of music unaffected by genre-constraints or rules. Dissolving boundaries between sound, movement and being, dancers can expect everything from spellbinding melodic passages, house-inflected body music and enchanted breakbeats melded into flourishes of ecstatic sensation. Oscillating between jubilance and insight with a distinctive sense of narrative and technical finesse, Fafi’s selections expand the universe of mystic, passionate and evocative strains of house - tapping into the source of music’s fundamental ability to transform lives, through a deeply personal level of expression transmuted directly from his soul through the speakers. Always encouraging us to connect with one another and celebrate the myriad of differences we share in our world, Fafi’s vibration has radiated simply by embodying his truth and encouraging others to do the same for themselves. Currently based in Amsterdam and with a slew of gigs only continuing to manifest throughout the world, his mantra remains the same no matter where the music is played - Love is the message

Grace Dahl

Born in Budapest, Hungary and spending her early childhood in Spain before eventually settling in Amsterdam, her upbringing was as colourful as it was diverse. With a Hungarian Father and Finnish Mother deeply immersed in the European rave scene of the 1990s, it seems that her path was almost predestined. As a child, some of her earliest memories are watching her father playing records at home, being entranced by what was happening on the turntable and coming out of the speakers. From the very beginning she had a burning passion for music that was only fueled and enhanced by her colourful and diverse upbringing. Grace’s career began at 18, cutting her teeth at clubs and venues around Amsterdam. She soon became a resident at the iconic Vault Sessions party series, solidifying her reputation as a rising star. Since then she has gone on to play some of the most revered venues and festivals around the world, including Berghain, Awakenings, Boiler Room and Stone Techno Festival. Her production journey began in 2018 with her first release on Coincidence Records as part of a VA compilation, followed by her debut solo EP, Dark Side of Desire, on Khazad Records. Since then she has appeared on high-profile imprints such as Amelie Lens’s Exhale and Frenzy Recordings, further cementing her place among techno’s elite talents. Her productions are a balance of powerfully weighted percussion and rich, immersive soundscapes. In 2024 Grace launched her very own label Serial Disc Touchers (SDT Recordings), which is a testament to her vision of fostering high-quality, boundary-free music. Since then the label has already released two projects and boasts a roster of talented artists, including Alec Dienaar, Julian Muller, François X, and Onyvaa. As 2025 unfolds, Grace’s momentum shows no signs of slowing, reflecting her strong dedication to this craft and her incomparable experience. With a packed release schedule and performances at some of the globe’s most iconic venues, it’s clear her journey is just beginning.

Jen Cardini

French-born Jen Cardini (they/them) has been welcoming people into the discotheque for the last 30 years. Their belief that something more was hidden under the surface of electronic music has put them at the helm of tiny sweaty lesbian bars, flamboyant Ibiza superclubs, and off-the-beaten-path warehouse raves. Through their work as an A&R for the labels Correspondant and DISCH, their remixes and productions helped rephrase the world's understanding of the French dance music scene. They continue playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Field Day, Sonar, Butik Festival, Mutek, and more. Cardini is also a regular at some of the best clubs in the world, such as Berghain, Outra Cena, Bassiani, Basement, K41 or Club Raum. They have also been able to perform at iconic art venues like MoMA PS1 and the Centre Pompidou. Jen has also launched their own party series, Nightclubbing, a platform for queer underground artists focused on transmission, and is now the artistic director of the Nightclubbing Festival in Paris, taking place in September 2026.

Kléo

“House is a feeling, a community, and a celebration of life.” For DJ, producer, and visual artist Kléo aka Clélia Zida, House music is a guiding light. French-born and Amsterdam-based, her love affair with the genre began two decades ago. Schooled by vinyl’s technicalities, her sets span the full spectrum of House. Honouring the legacy of the holy trinity of dance music cities—Chicago, New York, and Detroit—rooted in the Black lineage of Disco, Funk, Soul and Jazz. Kléo embraces the essence of House culture as a movement of resilience, built on the belief that music and dance can dismantle barriers and heal communities. She leads every dancefloor from the heart, with emotion, energy, and togetherness at its core. In her seamless mixes, the mood effortlessly shifts—from stripped-down, raw, and unapologetic jacking grooves to warmer percussive layers and vocal-driven energy with emotional resonance, then deeper into a cerebral aesthetic rich with synthesizer textures and soulful, machine-driven rhythms. Kléo celebrates the heritage of House while constantly digging for modern cuts, balancing the past and present with effortless sophistication. Kléo embodies the essence of being here—now, fully present in the music, guiding the dancefloor with spontaneity and poise through moments of ecstatic release and deep, immersive flow—one lifting you higher, the other pulling you deeper. In recent years, Kléo has expanded her artistry beyond DJing to music producer, record label owner, and event promoter. In early 2024, she launched her label Call 4 Rhythm, debuting with her first self-produced single, Agogo. True to the spirit of her DJ sets, the release is an invitation to let go and dial in. Across Agogo and her upcoming second release, Acid Coolada, Kléo reaffirms her commitment to House music’s ethos, blending squelchy TB-303 acid licks, jazz-tinged chords, interstellar synths, and sleek, soulful drum machines. The result is both rugged and authentic—a dancefloor affair infused with the spirit of honesty, the foundation of all her artistic endeavours. At the end of 2024, she launched the Call 4 Rhythm party series, a natural extension of her vision. “Call 4 Rhythm is committed to creating a home where everyone feels safe, valued, and free to be their authentic selves. Here, we foster love, respect, and unity—because together, we thrive.” In an era where inclusivity in club culture is more vital than ever, her mission is clear: advocating for love and acceptance by creating spaces where people feel seen, respected, and empowered. Beyond the dancefloor, Kléo is a core member of the Rush Hour store crew and a resident on Kiosk Radio, where she hosts In-House, a monthly show dedicated to her current selections. Though her roots may lie in intimate dancefloors, Kléo is no stranger to big stages. She has graced iconic clubs like Panorama Bar, De School, OHM, berlinClub, 20/44, and Peti Kupe, as well as major festivals such as Dekmantel, Selectors, ADE, Lost Village, DGTL, and LOVEFEST. Regardless of the venue, her ethos remains unchanged: connection with the crowd is everything. As the great Larry Heard once asked, “Can you feel it?” When Kléo is at the decks, the answer is always a resounding yes.

SUPERSTRINGS

Kicking off their careers in leftfield house and techno over a decade ago, the friends rekindled their mutual love for peak-era trance to quickly emerge as one of its most exciting forces. Donning distinct all-white outfits and their SHOW YOUR EMOTIONS tag (all-caps included), they emphatically embrace the emotional anthems and turn-of-the-millennium rave spirit. While their aesthetic may seem slightly ironic, their DJ sets tell a wholly different story. They've gained recognition for reviving trance's essence with care and intent – reworking iconic classics and hidden gems into something sharp, modern, and unmistakably their own. Catch them behind the decks, and their musical instinct is impossible to miss. The five-man team combines their signature hi-NRG take on trance with twists and turns you wouldn't expect from your classic trance DJ. Beyond their magnetic sets, SUPERSTRINGS made a name for themselves with sold-out stage hostings and infamous big-room parties across The Netherlands – rallying a new generation around trance with massive, laser-fueled, emotionally charged events that are nothing short of euphoric. While their trance odyssey only began a few years ago, its impact is undeniable. In 2024 alone, they played standout debut shows at festivals like Lowlands, DGTL, and Soenda, sold out iconic venues like TivoliVredenburg and Nijmegen's Vasim, and hosted stage takeovers nationwide. Their rise shows no signs of slowing. After closing the mainstage of A State of Trance for 20,000 dancers and announcing several all-nighters, SUPERSTRINGS is stepping onto the global stage with shows at Sziget, ASOT London, and multiple Ibiza sets shimmering on the horizon. Off-stage, SUPERSTRINGS' studio work is thriving. Championed by Armin van Buuren, their releases on Armada Music include a punchy remake of Signum's 'What Ya Got For Me', a well-received contemporary club cut with Ben Gold called 'The Whip', and 'Remember', a breakout track with trance legend Ferry Corsten that made serious waves in the scene. Their debut remix for the A State of Trance label - a rework of Prototype's anthem 'Soundpiercing' – is a heartfelt homage to the emotional core of trance's golden era. And there's more on the way. Take your chance to become part of this stirring movement. Show your emotions. Bookings Daan@davidlewis.nl Tim@davidlewis.nl

Surf 2 Glory

With the chaotic charm of a lesbian Ernie and Bert, they turn every set into a boardroom coup - too wild to be managed, too sexy to work: they dismantle the whole system. Repping the label and collective Club Heart Broken around Malugi and Marlon Hoffstadt since day one, Surf 2 Glory deliver high-speed euphoria through a whirlwind of Organ House, Speed Garage, pumping Tech House and Vocal House. Their mixes aren’t just dance floor magic, they’re a call to collectivize the rave. If the means of production won’t seize themselves, at least the bassline will. Proven by their own dancefloor-ready EPs, which always play with a wink on the fine line between silly & sexy. The two EP’s on Club Heart Broken were the duos first, but played in over a million streams on platforms worldwide. Putting themselves on the map in the fast lane, they played the Pitch Music Festival Mainstage, Mysteryland Mainstage, USHUAIA Ibiza, Boiler Room London, Nitsa Barcelona or Intercell Events within two years. They never take themselves too seriously - nonchalance is a no no in their world - but are ever hungry for more and always ready for a new challenge. So let’s go!

Suze Ijó

A communal hub that used to exist in her home city, the space was designed for music lovers to come together to play, listen and talk, as well as collaborate on private events that are influenced by David Mancuso's infamous Loft parties. That Loft manifesto feeds into the sounds in her own DJ sets too, whether in the booth or on the waves. From infectious Chicago house to uplifting 80s cuts and warm, soulful grooves; the mood transports you back to the heydays where dance floors were becoming spaces for freedom, self-expression and connection. It's music to bring people together, music to get you moving, and music to lose yourself in. Now a globe-trotting DJ, Ijó has brought her unique sound to venues such as Nowadays, Smartbar, and Spot Lite Detroit in North America. In Asia, she has graced the stages of the Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand and Potato Head in Bali. Her music resonates in prestigious European venues like Panorama Bar, De School, Lux Fragíl, Kaiku, and at Dekmantel Festival, where she frequently performs. Despite a hectic schedule, Ijó's club sets are marked by intentionality and focus, creating a unique atmosphere for each space and night. To her, "House" is a feeling, an ambience, not just a BPM range. Her approach transforms club nights into collective, bodily, and spiritual experiences crafted by everyone involved. Ijó is also frequently sought after for her curatorial skills, recently curating stages at Dekmantel Festival (Connects Stage), Wilde Weide Festival, and producing podcasts for United Identities. While her live performances are highly anticipated, Ijó also shares her musical journey through numerous radio shows on NTS, The Lot Radio, and the Dekmantel Podcast series, allowing listeners to experience her distinctive style anytime. words by Jamila Woodley & Rosie Cain
