Moritz von Oswald, legendary master of electronic experimentalism and technical exactitude, holds a central place in the history of electronic music. From his early days with Palais Schaumburg to co-founding Basic Channel with Mark Ernestus, he helped shape some of techno’s most influential sounds. As a key figure in the Berlin scene that grew around Tresor, he also played a vital role in the historic connection between Berlin and Detroit. Through landmark projects such as Maurizio and Rhythm & Sound, his influence continues to resonate across contemporary electronic music.
