About this event
Mister Bear is back at Paloma featuring a headline set from Patrick Gibin, one of the seens influential figures operating at the intersection of house, broken beat, and boogie.
UK-born and Verona-based, Patrick is the founder of Mother Tongue, the record label, distribution service, and pressing plant that has established itself as a key reference point for soulful, artist-centred music since 2019.
His discography spans Eglo, Salsoul, BBE, Razor-N-Tape, and his own imprint, with collaborations alongside Kaidi Tatham, Ron Trent, Joe Claussell, Theo Parrish, and Josh Milan. His debut album Strength in Numbers brought together jazz-infused dancefloor grooves, acid, and boogie in a way that felt both timeless and urgent, later expanded by a remix EP from Joaquin Joe Claussell, whose reworks added a further layer of spiritual depth to the project. His Black Aroma edits series, released as Twice on Blend It!, has earned lasting acclaim for uncovering overlooked jazz-funk and boogie gems. Guest appearances on NTS, Worldwide FM, Dekmantel, and Red Light Radio speak to an artist whose taste is as wide as it is assured. Over fifteen years of throwing parties, his reputation as a DJ is built on the same thing every time: the groove wins.
Joining him on the night is Craig White, head of Mister Bear Records. Craig has used the Mister Bear label as a vehicle for quality, musically expansive deep house from a handful of established artists. Craig has been running the Mister Bear party in Berlin for the last 8 years with a view to bringing the best quality house music to the undeground of the city
