For this special summer session, Dimitra Zina explores a selection of records from across the Mediterranean, with a particular focus on Greece, Italy, and Turkey.
Moving between jazz, funk, cinematic soundtracks, and contemporary grooves, the evening brings together timeless recordings, overlooked gems, and Mediterranean sounds spanning the ’70s, ’80s, and beyond.
Berlin-based curator, DJ, and radio host Dimitra Zina is known for soulful selections blending jazz, funk, disco, film music, and deep Mediterranean influences. Her sets move effortlessly between rare grooves, spiritual jazz, cinematic textures, and warm dancefloor energy. She has curated and hosted shows for Worldwide FM, Refuge Worldwide, Radio Alhara, and Stegi Radio, and has played festivals and venues including XJAZZ! and Jazz Re:Found.
