About this event

On 08 + 09 August 2026, MAGMA returns to RSO.Berlin for its second, expanded edition, transforming VALLEY and OPAN into a two-day open-air universe defined by high-impact live performances and carefully curated DJ bookings, including a strong mix of standout international artists and rising local talents.

Set on the former brewery grounds in Oberschöneweide, MAGMA unfolds as an open space where raw club intimacy meets the immersive energy of an open-air festival. Over one summer weekend, the site becomes a vibrant urban playground, pairing forward-thinking club music and alternative dance-pop with striking production, immersive stage design, and thoughtfully selected food and drink offers that complete the experience.

Rather than following a singular genre logic, MAGMA builds tension through contrast: the 2026 program moves fluidly between house, techno, and bass music while folding in hyperpop, alternative R&B, indie, and dance-punk, creating friction and a dynamic structural dialogue.

The lineup features masterclass DJ and producer Joy Orbison, bringing his deep, percussive UK sound to Berlin, and Yaeji, whose hypnotic blend of house minimalism and understated pop blurs the line between club functionality and emotional introspection. Erika de Casier pushes R&B into cool, futuristic minimalism, while Skin On Skin channels raw energy through UK garage and rave. The Dare adds sharp indie-dance momentum, Detroit’s Hi-Tech deliver relentless ghetto-tech, and Swedish duo Deki Alem move between avant-pop, rave-rap, and controlled chaos. Headache provides a melancholic, dreamlike counterpoint, showing that intensity can unfold as much in subtlety as in peak-time moments.

Around these acts, there are many more musical highlights to discover, including Sophia Stel, New York, DJ Travella, Mia Koden, Mietze Conte, Six Sex and more.

Two days. One weekend. This is your temperature shift.

The Dare

Deki Alem

Deki Alem are almost impossible to put in a box, with a boundless drive and uncompromising energy, the twin duo from Sweden have created new paths for alternative music where their color palette feels infinite. There is an uncomfortable honesty and highly emotional masculinity in the way Deki Alem mixes subgenres such as drum & bass, dance and grunge with rap.

DJ KILLING

Born and Raised in Berlin. With Austrian and Afro- American roots. At various Berlin Youth events he built a reputation with young creative individuals flocking his sets. Through early club impressions and a penchant for nostalgia, his sound has consolidated over time. Its eclectic selection surprises in genres where many seem to know there is nothing new. Many genres are served, from Acid House, Techno, Ballroom to East German Schranz. It's all in the mix. This is where its craving for rhythm lingers, staying consistently in tune no matter what the BPM.

DJ Travella

Doudou MD

Born from a Dutch classical singer/pianist player and a Congolese percussionist drummer, it comes as no surprise that the art of playing music literally runs through her veins. Her mostly vinyl sets are 90's UK/US/DE inspired, supported by strong percussion, rhythms and a spiritual touch. Always aiming to engage in a conversation with her crowd, dancing to her sets will release that inner gangster gut feeling in you. Body focused, voluptuous house and techno at its best. Doudou MD strongly believes music has the power to heal and serve as a medicine, which is one of the main reasons music has always been at the core of her life. Following her ears and heart when digging for new records, her bag is constantly being re-filled with a rich variety of music. Although the rhythms and genre of her selection may vary, the constant factor is her unmistakable love for every track she lays on the record player. After spending her early (club)years in Utrecht and Amsterdam, surrounded by her forever cherished Slapfunk and VBX brothers, she spent 5 years in Berlin. Here clubs like Berghain, Hoppetosse and Ohm played a big influence on her musical and personal developments. She takes much of her inspiration from artist like Zip, Roman Flügel, Paul Johnson, as well as Steve O’Sullivan and Mr. G. Back in Amsterdam today, never taking the experience of the dance floor lightly, she fine-tuned her view of the ultimate club experience all over the world. Perfecting this craft is a never ending process, making her upcoming gigs all the more interesting for both crowd and artist.

Meg10

Meg10 is one of the most compelling DJs to come out of Berlin, Germany. Her political outspokenness and roots in Y2K Hip Hop & RnB are key components to her sonic ID. With her genre-bending sound that combines elements of Rap & Electronic Music, as well as her feminist endeavors to foster a more female and queer inclusive club scene, Meg10 has been shaking up the scene for the last 8 years. Having played every major European city, and with tours in AUS and Asia under her belt, Meg10 is now on her way to take on the Americas. Her polyrhythmic sets boasting bass and explicit lyrics to lip sync to as well as her passion for fashion and know-how for curating blockbuster line-ups not only garnered her ties to high fashion brands like Bottega Veneta and Mugler. But also invitations to play and curate stages at acclaimed festivals such as Horst, Wireless, Pukkelpop, Fusion, WHOLE, Melt and many more.

x3butterfly

Heavily influenced by innovators such as Throbbing Gristle and Floorplan, their productions encapsulated sounds that were inspired by the UK and Detroit, and were complimented with live spoken word. After moving to Berlin in 2016, they transitioned from performance art to DJing, where their sets on HÖR facilitated their breakthrough as a DJ. Having drawn inspiration from early industrial and techno pioneers, x3butterfly’s sets retain a raw and ominous quality, with a club twist. Prioritizing the eclectic, they often aim to take listeners on a story-telling journey while simultaneously keeping them on the dance floor. Their sets combine jungle, drum and bass, R&B, dubstep, techno, and other world sounds at 140-160 BPM. x3butterfly has played in various clubs in Mexico, Germany, Denmark, Greece, as well as a multitude of cities in the US. They have quickly become a rising NYC star, DJing notorious NYC venues such as Bossa Nova, Mood Ring, and Nowadays. You can find their most recent production titled “Holy War Remix” on Rubby’s Pájaro Malo Remix EP on Spotify.
