Christian AB

Christian AB has carved a distinctive path in electronic music through a sound that’s both timeless and forward-thinking. Known for his deep musicality, razor-sharp mixing, and wide-reaching influences, he brings an emotional intensity to the dancefloor that resonates far beyond trends. His sets weave together house, techno, breaks, and electro with a fluidity that reflects both knowledge and instinct. From intimate basements to some of the world’s most respected clubs and festivals, his performances—daring and uncompromising—have earned him recognition as one of the scene’s most captivating selectors. Alongside his reputation as a DJ, Christian AB is an accomplished producer with releases on Faith Beat and Timeless, showcasing a unique vision translated into records that stand the test of time. Rooted in curiosity and passion, he embodies what we value most: authenticity, depth, and relentless dedication to the music.

Danielle

On top of a foundational core of house, techno and electro she folds in myriad sonic wildcards to create dynamic, innovative variations on the club music experience. It’s logical her tastes would be omnivorous – Danielle spent 10 years working at fabled London record shop Phonica, one of the definitive destinations for dance music in the city, as well as a lengthy tenure at iconic Bristol store Idle Hands. Being across new releases week in, week out is one thing, but knowing how to stitch them together is another. From the breakthrough years perfecting the craft of a great warm-up to her long-standing residency on NTS Radio since 2017, Danielle shaped her approach to DJing from a free-thinking, fluid angle which still rings true now she’s more commonly found at the top of the bill. Danielle’s DJing has touched upon vital events, venues and locations around the world, from touring the US and playing flagship festivals like Glastonbury, Dekmantel, Draaimolen and Love International, to clubs like DC10, Fabric, The White Hotel, Corsica Studios and Tresor, holding down a residency season for Colour Factory in London and Left Bank in Tbilisi, and frequently picked for parties as revered as Timedance, Herrensauna and Livity Sound. In tandem, her skills have been recognised by key publications including Mixmag, DJ Mag (she was nominated as a best breakthrough DJ in 2020) and Resident Advisor. Beyond her own DJ work (she’s also a frequent contributor to many a mix series), Danielle also takes the time to impart her experience and knowledge to the next generation via her classes at Mix Nights – a non-profit organisation she helped set up seven years ago to encourage women and non-binary people to explore the art of DJing. Elsewhere, her label Soft Raw was founded in 2022 as a platform to champion the fresh talent she comes across in her position as a revered DJ and which speaks to her consistent instinct for new developments within club music. All these elements feed into the overall mission Danielle is on, pursuing her love of dynamic, physical soundsystem music with errant coding in its DNA. Keyed into new revolutions in the ever-evolving culture of the dancefloor, Danielle melds her impeccable taste together with fierce commitment and flair, delivering the impulse to move and presenting wholly new ideas to any crowd, any party, any time, anywhere.

DJ Masda

DJ Masda’s selections draw from early techno, futurist electro and the playful spirit of house music, offering dancers a transcendent experience. His sets are laden with soul and emotion, often exploring the interplay of light and dark. With impeccable timing and delicate execution, Masda effortlessly captivates his audience. His technique is characterised by short, impactful mixes, which seamlessly integrate the best of the old and new. Recognised as one of Japan’s finest selectors, Masda has earned acclaim through live performances and podcast mixes for platforms like Bassiani, Dimensions, Resident Advisor, XLR8R and so on. He also oversaw A&R operations for Tokyo's Energy Flash Distribution, further cementing his role as a cornerstone of the scene.

Ellie Stokes

Having immersed herself in Bristol’s music scene since arriving in the late 00s, she could reasonably be considered a product of the city’s unique creative culture. Let’s sidestep tired ideas about trip hop and D&B for a second and focus on the West Country capital as a hotbed of broadminded experimentation, with a community ethos and supportive framework that encourages talent to shine through. Stokes was already working within the music industry when she started to channel her passion into DJing – she was working at vital independent venue The Love Inn, one of the hubs of Bristol’s underground music culture, where she’s now the booking agent and venue manager. When the female / non-binary Mix Nights DJ course began (helmed by leading lights such as Danielle and Daisy Moon), Stokes found the right nurturing environment to discover her instinct for selecting and spinning, initiating a career which has grown exponentially ever since. In 2018 she became a resident at Bristol’s leading club space Motion, and played life-affirming slots at premier league events and spaces such as Glastonbury, Love International, Warehouse Project, Love Saves The Day, Corsica Studios and Simple Things. As well as her dancefloor presence, where she’s likely to be plying leftfield house and techno tinged with industrial and 90s motifs, Stokes has a regular radio outlet via Bristol’s leading station, Noods. It’s on these shows her tastes truly open up, touching on ambient techno and electronica, all manner of wave-related sonics, EBM and much more besides. It’s a non-conformist style that favours individual expression over generic consistency, championing the omnivorous spirit of the times and presenting selections that feel honest, heartfelt and constantly surprising. Stokes’ musical endeavours reach beyond her DJing too – she also helps steer the city’s much-loved queer dance party Bitch, Please! and came on board as a partner in Futureboogie, which will soon branch out into a new label project in the near future. Her keen ear for the unusual and distinctive shine through in these ventures as much as when she’s on the decks, rounding out her positive contributions to all corners of the music scene in Bristol and beyond. She may be representative of the city as it stands right now, but Ellie Stokes is just as much her own vital energy in a tangled network of scenes, communities, parties and platforms that stretches out internationally.
