Als viele Festivals noch Zukunftsmusik waren, wurde auf einer kleinen Wiese Mitten im Nirgendwo bereits Musik gemacht. Die erste Bühne wurde aus Holz gebaut, die Technik war improvisiert, und doch war von Anfang an klar: Hier geht es nicht um Show, sondern um Musik. Nicht um Masse, sondern um Nähe, Gespräche und offene Arme. Und genau diese Haltung prägt die Lott bis heute. Seit 1977 treffen sich Musik- und Kulturbegeisterte auf einer idyllischen Hangwiese Mitten in Deutschland zum Lott-Festival. Bei der Lott geht es niemals um Mainstream, Hochglanz oder Kommerz, sondern vielmehr um Kultur, Miteinander und ganz viel Herzblut. Als eines der ältesten noch existierenden Open-Air-Musikfestivals Deutschlands beschert die Lott, wie das Festival liebevoll von allen genannt wird, in Raversbeuren jährlich rund 4.500 Besuchern ein unvergessliches Wochenende – aufgebaut von Freunden, unterstützt von Lokalhelden, getragen vom Ehrenamt. Doch diese besondere Atmosphäre entsteht nicht von allein. Hinter dem Festival steht keine kommerzielle Eventmaschine, sondern ein Verein, der seit über vier Jahrzehnten aus Überzeugung und Liebe zur Sache funktioniert. Die Lott Gesellschaft organisiert das Festival vollständig aus eigenem Antrieb: Von der Programmplanung über den Bühnenaufbau bis zur Organisation der Infrastruktur packen engagierte Macher*innen aus der Region und darüber hinaus mit an – ohne Profitabsicht, dafür mit umso mehr Leidenschaft. Neben den Menschen hinter den Kulissen tragen auch die regionalen Anbieter dazu bei, dass die Lott so besonders ist. Essensstände, Brauereien und lokale Betriebe, die nicht nur mit ihren Produkten, sondern auch mit ihrer Persönlichkeit Teil der Lott Familie sind. Sie geben dem Festival ein Gesicht und zeigen, wie lebendige, nachbarschaftliche Zusammenarbeit funktionieren kann. Und genau dieses Engagement macht es möglich, dass die Lott mehr ist als ein Musikfestival: Neben einem vielfältigen musikalischen Programm bietet die Lott Workshops, Mitmachangebote und Raum für spontane Momente. Hier spielt keine Playlist – hier spielt das Leben. Man braucht keine großen Namen für große Augenblicke, und man geht nicht verloren – außer vielleicht im Moment. Live Acts aus unterschiedlichen Genres und Ländern erstrecken sich über drei Tage, der Sonntag ist traditionell eintrittsfrei. Daraus entsteht ein Ort für Kultur, Austausch und Gemeinschaft, an dem Menschen nicht nur konsumieren, sondern teilhaben – und jedes Jahr kommen sie zurück. Erst allein. Dann mit Freunden. Später mit Kindern. Und irgendwann mit Enkelkindern. So hat jeder Lottler, seine eigene VIP-Lounge – Irgendwo zwischen Bühne, Wiese und Bierstand. Es ist ein besonderes Gefühl. Ein Gefühl, das entsteht, wenn man merkt, dass man nicht nur Gast ist, sondern Teil von etwas – oder anders gesagt: „Es ist halt die Lott“. Fun Fact: der Lichtmast aus dem ersten Festivaljahr hängt noch immer als heilige Reliquie im Bierstand.

Philipp Johann Thimm
Over the past decade, Philipp Johann Thimm has abetted and instigated numerous musical explorations with various musicians in and around his home base of Berlin. He has displayed his talents as a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer on projects ranging from his first band ABBY, his ongoing collaboration with Sascha Ring under the Apparat banner, various theatre projects, music for art installations, a well as big and small screen soundtracking, oh and they both were nominated for a Grammy in 2019 for 'Best Electronic Album' with Apparat's LP5. "For the longest time I've had the urge to make something for myself to share with others. I've always felt that it needed to happen, but there was no real game plan. It's happening now because of a weird flow state - a lot of different elements coming together at this particular time. " Amidst the aforementioned activity, Philipp has managed to find the time to record his debut solo release, "Birds Singing Till The World Ends". It begins with a prayer- glitchy beats dance over woozy strings as disembodied voices intone a plea for sanity amidst the chaos that surrounds. Then the spectral sounds of children emerge only to give way to the harsh realities of violence to come, there is hope but the cost of that hope isn't cheap, all this and more as natural sounds become electronic textures, pulses and beats lead to the path forward. Crafted with the help of family and friends, Philipp has delivered his Declaration of Musical Intent. "The best thing that can happen is for someone you love to produce a sound and then to be able to record that sound. Those recordings of that person are so much more precious than a preset, and then to be able to weave it into the music..." As for the immediate future; the band is ready, dates are being booked, music and videos are being released. Those amongst us that are further blessed may even find themselves present at a gathering of fellow questing souls, immersed in the flow of the music as Philipp and his musical cohorts perform, "at the edge of a forest, next to a lake, at sunset, start friendly, then comes the deep shit as it grows darker..." He always brings something from his huge pool of instruments to the stage, maybe cello, guitar, dulcimer or harp - but definitely a flute, a bell and something with electricity and his voice. Oh! And a bassdrum! He'll most likely bring a bassdrum! Maybe even a beat......................
LAGERREGAL
LAGERREGAL is a live techno collective formed in 2021 during the stillness of the pandemic, a project born out of restriction that quickly turned into a boundary-pushing force on stage. Moving between bouncy house grooves and driving techno, the four-piece navigates experimental sound spheres where electronic production meets acoustic instrumentation. LAGERREGAL sees itself as a symbiotic organism: beats, breath, brass and bass interlocking in real time. Through live looping and the fusion of organic and synthetic elements, they build four walls around their audience and fill the space with eclecticism, spontaneity, and raw energy. What sets them apart is their uncompromising live approach. No pre-produced tracks, no safety net, everything is created in the moment. Each show is unique, shaped by interaction, atmosphere, and instinct. Since their formation, LAGERREGAL has played across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, bringing their immersive live set to renowned clubs and festivals such as Sisyphos, Fusion Festival, About:Blank, Humboldthain Club, among many others.
