London Jazz Fest Afterparty with Summer Pearl, Marla Kether (DJ), Shortlist Sound

For the first time, the EFG London Jazz Festival will continue late into the night, with an
after party at Colour Factory featuring a DJ set from Marla Kether, Ri Mistry and more to be
announced. Powered by sound system collective Shortlist Sound.

Summer Pearl

Known for her care-free live performances and to the point lyrics, Summer Pearl transcends you to a place of soul and truth.

“My music is a reflection of my past and a meditation of our present. It is both a personal and sometimes political message exploring black and female liberation, love gained and love lost and anything I feel. I’m heavily influenced by Jazz, Soul, Hip Hop, R&B and Reggae. I channel the experiences of my ancestors, women and myself to conjure emotions to write and express”.

Marla Kether (DJ)

Born in London to Congolese parents, Marla Kether
is a bassist, producer and DJ. The
different strands of her musical career are almost as diverse as her selections, which
commonly feature a bass-led blend of Kuduro, Dembow, Afro House and Global Bass.

Ri Mistry

is an emphatically London-based DJ. Her deep and comprehensive knowledge of
the London club-scene comes from her previous work as a radio producer at Rinse FM and
current programmer for Colour Factory. She also throws nights with Social Records
Society, using the platform to spotlight DJs she backs and fulfil her passion for record
digging and community.
