CoreChaos, a Munich based collective return for another evening of live concerts exploring the boundaries of experimental, electronic & heavy music on our Blitz dancefloor floor with a solidarity-based „pay what you can“ pricing model to keep the music inclusive.

Liturgy, the Brooklyn project founded by Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix, has spent nearly two decades expanding what heavy music can do. Working in a space she calls "Transcendental Black Metal," Hunt-Hendrix has incorporated black metal, opera, classical forms, and trap production into an increasingly ambitious practice, alongside lectures, art installations, and a philosophical framework built around eschatological theory. 93696, Liturgy's most recent album on Thrill Jockey, is a sprawling double album structured around four "laws": Sovereignty, Hierarchy, Emancipation, Individuation and recorded to tape with the intent of sounding "more punk-meets-classical than metal."

Opening the night is Brnjsmin aka Giovanni Raabe, a Munich-based frequent CoreChaos collaborator, who came up playing drums in metal and hardcore before moving toward ambient electronics, field recordings, and the border between music and sound art. His releases on verydeeprecords move between bass-driven ambient, leftfield electronics, with gentle lo-fi bursts and krauty, digital synths nodding at Weilheim's musical microcosm. His idiosyncratic and dynamic take on music, full of well-placed gaps and musical silence, renders his music a sensitive, yet doom & drone-indebted weight.
