Lu Klein
Lu Klein is a Berlin-based DJ and vinyl selector, as well as co-founder of The Cave collective in the Netherlands. With more than ten years of experience behind the decks, her sets are built on restraint, narrative, and sonic intuition —favoring stripped-back grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and emotional clarity. Her journey began during her undergraduate studies, where she started collecting records and organizing intimate gatherings focused on sound and connection. Later, while completing a Master’s in Strategic Innovation Management, she refined her practice—not driven by visibility, but by intention and curiosity. Her attention has always been on how music moves, evolves, and connects. Lu has performed at a wide range of well-known venues and stages across Europe, including: Paradigm (with Subb-an), OOST (with Alexander Skancke), Hoppetosse (with Suciu and Automatic Writing), Sisyphos Wintergarten, Farbfernseher, and Social Point Ibiza. She also supported the opening month of Why?Not Club Zanzibar, playing alongside Doudou MD and Jérôme Sydenham, and has performed with or opened for artists such as Carl Craig, Benwal, Selene, and Nathan Homanearning quiet trust across both groove-oriented and techno-leaning floors. With The Cave, Lu helped shape an independent underground circuit through warehouse parties and self-organised events—rooted in care, community, and sonic intention. Her ongoing presence in grassroots scenes and emerging club projects reflects a broader ethos: to support the spaces where culture still grows from the ground up. Lu’s sound blends various shades of house—ranging from classic to minimal to contemporary—layered with breakbeat, electro, and percussive detail. She gravitates toward extended set formats that allow the music to unfold with coherence and depth, creating immersive experiences marked by timing, presence, and flow.
