FOUNDATION XVI - 12.06.26
Foundation returns to USF Verftet with a lineup built for deep, driving and uncompromising techno.
Berlin-based force DAX J headlines the night, joined by Bergen’s own ESPEN LAURITZEN and MINDE 1996 for a carefully curated journey inside one of Bergen’s most iconic venues, Røkeriet.
A defining figure in modern techno, Dax J is known for his raw intensity, precision and uncompromising vision behind the decks. As the founder of Monnom Black and a regular at institutions such as Berghain and Fabric, his sets are built on power, tension and relentless energy, pushing the dancefloor to its limits.
Joining him is Espen Lauritzen, a core figure in Bergen’s underground techno community and founder of Krill Music, Espen is known for his deep, driving selections and ability to build the atmosphere from the very first record. His sets focus on groove, tension and momentum, setting the perfect foundation for the night ahead.
Opening the night is Minde 1996, a Bergen-based live artist operating at the intersection of techno and experimental club music. With appearances across local festivals and underground platforms, and releases tied to the wider Bergen electronic ecosystem, his sound blends raw texture, rhythm and atmosphere into a deep and evolving live experience, setting the tone with precision and intent.
This is a lineup built with intention, from start to finish.
This will be a night for the dancefloor. You don’t want to miss out.

Espen Lauritzen
The trajectory of Espen Lauritzen is unusual - born in Norway, he grew up in Buenos Aires. His alma mater is the iconic Techno institution Cocoliche, where he’s been influenced since a young age by national and international legends. Even though Espen is rooted in the origins of classical techno, his sound is playful and innovative. His style is defined by including elements from other genres, offering a rich sonic experience to the audience. His releases deliver groovy and highly danceable tracks, which were published on vinyl on some of the most important labels right now, such as Fiedel’s Super Sound Tool or the Georgian Khidi label. As it’s an urge for Espen to contribute steadily to the scene, he founded his own label Krill Music, which features artists such as Hector Oaks, Jonas Kopp, Matrixxman and Stanislav Tolkachev. After being based in Kyiv for some years, he was forced to move back to Norway, where he is contributing to the local scene by organizing events and festivals. You can expect relentless, thriving and authentic techno, delivered by Espen to the most eminent clubs of the world such as Berghain, Khidi, RSO, The Villa and Tresor.
