ABOUT ARTIST Zara (she/her) is an Australian-born London-based DJ, producer, and label owner. Her inner-world weaves together the sensibilities of warm emotion with darker introspection intended to make you lose yourself, and once the dust settles, find your way again.

Whether she is performing a peak-time club set or a meditative listening session, Zara’s command of a dancefloor always carries a conscious consideration, to balance the experience of hypnotic journeys with hands-in-the-air euphoria. But no two sets are the same, as she can leave you feeling sideways just as much as she can leave you feeling eyes wide shut.

Inspired by the shifting tendencies of nature and the ebbs and flows of her everyday surroundings, Zara transposes these feelings through her sonic output, where psychoactive adventure meets sun-kissed soft landings. Expect to be guided through a swirling vortex of psychedelic and rhythmic states bound together by morphing organic textures.

Drifting between techno, trance, and drum n bass - experimental polyrhythms and sparkling synth lines emerge from a functional pulse, resulting in a sonic palette that holds an ethereal weightlessness, whilst remaining deeply resonant to the beckoning hum of the sound system.

Zara’s roots as an artist go back to Australian doof’s, transmitting hard-hitting rave through the open-air terrains of Australia’s underground, before she found her feet inside Melbourne’s contemporary psychedelic scene. Home to fellow triphead’s Kia (Animalia), Harold (Steeplejack) and OK EG who serve as sources of inspiration, she values a music community that is built on friendship, trust, and support.

From there she launched Kinesis, a label and mix series born from Melbourne’s cultural fabric. A platform for home listening excursions, Kinesis is designed to encourage FLINTA artists to navigate the spectrum of emotion outside the walls of a club. The label provides a space for exploratory and experimental electronic music that is rooted in a mindful appreciation of timeless soundscapes.

It is with Kinesis where the trippier, emotive and experimental cadences bring a grounding and central force to Zara’s artistry.

WHAT IS DEEP LISTENING? These special sessions are designed to allow you to experience sound without any distractions. We curate this chamber for complete audio immersion with our hi-fidelity sound system and incredible intentional DJs sets on select weekends, allowing you to explore all the textures, layers and dimensions of electronic music, while you lay down undistracted by the world around you. A simple concept, yet rare to find in London.

There is also a collective element to deep listening. By listening together we give each other more agency to fully drop into the listening experience and in doing so, discover deeper profound ways sound can leave an impression on us.
