About this event

Crave Tapes and K3LLR join forces once again for their third collaborative night, pushing deeper into Berlin’s shadowy electronic underground. On 12.06., a secret venue will transform into a raw, immersive space where hypnotic rhythms, industrial textures, and darkwave energy collide. Expect a carefully curated lineup that moves between Dark Disco, EBM, and Minimal Wave — designed for those who crave intensity on the dancefloor.

Alessandro Adriani is an Italian-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label head. He runs Mannequin Records, a hugely influential imprint focused on minimal wave, EBM, industrial, and obscure synth music from the ’80s and beyond. His sets are relentless yet nuanced, weaving together sharp sequences, distorted basslines, and haunting atmospheres.

Ufo Shadow is a Berlin-based duo made up of Oberst Panizza (also known from Velvet Condom / Liste Noire) and Béryl Le Gallo. Their sound sits somewhere between minimal wave, synth wave, and what they themselves lean toward as a kind of “cosmic wave”—very analog, hypnotic, and slightly futuristic.

K3LLR host Electric Visionary will start the night with a mix of eery Horror Disco and 80s Synth Wave and New Beat originals.

The Crave Tapes Crew Desolate Discotheque, Charlie Vaux and Lush Lab will heat the floor with selections of melancholic melodies with driving beats, creating a hypnotic flow. Expect sets that builds slowly but hits hard, drawing dancers into a deep, focused state.

Lineup

Alessandro Adriani

The Berlin-based Italian goes further than your average “crate digger” in pursuit of information about sounds, styles, artists and record labels, devoting countless hours to unearthing the untold stories behind the music he loves, regardless of when it was made. Adriani’s obsession has naturally shaped his other musical endeavors, not least Mannequin Records, the label he established over than a decade ago, voted label of the month by Resident Advisor in 2017. Over the years, the imprint has won praise from buyers and critics alike for its open-minded blend of on-point reissues, archival collections and fresh productions. The intriguing, leftfield mixture of material on offer – think techno, electro, cold wave, industrial, EBM, minimal synth, and more – is naturally a reflection of Adriani’s wide-ranging and off-kilter tastes (as you’d discover if you had a quick flick through his vast and growing record collection). Adriani is distinctively drawn towards the dark and obscure, and you can hear this approach amongst the long, drawn-out mixes of his similarly eclectic DJ sets. Alessandro has contributed outstanding mixes for Resident Advisor, FACT, Crack Magazine, Bleep, Cxema and Dekmantel. On the festival circuit he’s made appearances at Berghain, Tresor, Atonal, Boiler Room, Dekmantel, ADE, Dimensions, Neopop, Positive Education, Signal and more, together with his bi-monthly dates at Berghain and Panorama Bar, a residency he’s held from 2016 to 2020. As a producer, Adriani’s output naturally draws on these inspirations, but also reflects his obsession with electronic hardware. Under his own name Adriani has built a reputation for delivering heavy, angular and forthright club cuts for such celebrated labels as L.I.E.S. Records, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Jealous God, Pinkman and - of course - Mannequin Records.

Desolate Discotheque

With over 15 years of experience as an event host, vocalist, and DJ, Berlin-based Desolate Discotheque has steadily built a reputation in the European underground EBM-Wave scene. Following breakthrough performances in Warsaw and Athens, he has since ignited dance floors in Tbilisi, Tunis, Ukraine, and beyond. In 2019, he realized a personal dream by launching Crave Tapes, an independent record label dedicated to both emerging and established artists from around the globe. The inspiration he draws from 80's underground electronic music and the goth culture, is manifested in his exorbitant, authentic and excessive style - a wild mixture between EBM, New Beat, Dark Disco, Post-Punk and some Techno.

Electric Visionary

Broadcasting from the heart of Berlin’s shadow circuit, Electric Visionary is a time-traveling DJ beaming frequencies of Horror Disco, Dark Disco, Italo, and Electro straight into your cortex. Synthesizers scream, basslines bite - her sound is a transmission from a neon grid dimension, where club nights never end and chrome dreams glitch into reality. Founder of the underground micro-club event K3LLR, she summons the floor like a dystopian oracle, gathering a community of nocturnal creatures bound by rhythm, distortion and the shared pulse of the dark divine. Her first interstellar transmission as co-producer with Italo Gigolo Bino Biscotti - “Disco Galactica” has ignited the cosmos in 2023 and more is to come as laser beams hit the endless depths of space.

Charlie Vaux

Born to thrive on the dancefloor and cursed with impeccable taste, Charlie Vaux is a rising icon in Berlin’s underground scene. From sweaty basements of queer bars to festival mainstages at dawn, Vaux has been turning heads and moving bodies. As the visionary behind Neukölln’s genre-fluid party series LOVESHACK, co-founder of the R27 collective, and resident artist on the EBM/Darkwave label Crave Tapes, Vaux has carved a reputation as one of Berlin’s most versatile and exciting emerging talents - making waves internationally with appearances on HÖR and at renowned clubs like KHIDI, Tbilisi and Le Sucre, Lyon. Charlie shines as a passionate and skilled selector, keeping audiences glued to the floor by effortlessly blending dark and sultry genres like Synthwave, EBM and Electro with brighter shades of Italo, House and Disco — crafting a signature sound that is eclectic, sensual, and vocal-driven. Their powerful and cinematic debut EP, in collaboration with Italian-born producer NOCUI blends dreamy synths with powerful vocals, raw emotion and 80s nostalgia. Somewhere between melancholia and euphoria, elation and introspection, CHANGING COLORS captures the complexities of embracing one’s truth in evocative and liberating dance-tracks, resonating just as strongly outside of the club. Beyond the booth, Vaux channels their creativity into photography, filmmaking, and curating genre-queer events that celebrate music and community. A multidisciplinary artist through and through, Vaux channels fluidity and fearless self-expression into everything they do - creating unforgettable moments that resonate long after the last track fades.

Lush Lab

Lush Lab is the moniker of the Berlin based artist Igor Girio. Active in the Sao Paulo scene since the early 2000's, he gathers experience as DJ, promoter and sound engineer in some of the most exciting spotlights of South America and Europe. Drawing inspiration from the 90’s ballroom underground, he delivers powerful doses of house, italo and uplifting grooves, being flexible enough to fit different rooms and crowds, always keeping a high and evolving energy. With a modern approach to mixing and more than 15 years of club experience, he is becoming a regular throughout Berlin and Sao Paulo’s circuits, with recent presentations at Sisyphos, Else, Renate, Ohm, Khidi, and Blum.
