Cristian Varela
Talking about Cristian Varela is giving a proper voice to a lifetime dedicated to the Night. To the passion for electronic music, to the entire scene, and of course, to its people. There are loyal troops of them following his artistic career spanning over more than three decades now. If we focus on electronic and techno music chronicles, in History, few names only resonate with as much significance as this pioneering artist from Madrid. And it is that Cristian Varela is always evolving and like these genres, he has moved with the times. It gives shape and he allows himself to be modeled, a wise thing. He actually can be considered a vital mentor for a next generation of artists, producers and DJs helping them to understand the value of quality music. Varela has also gone beyond the decks to share his legacy with new generations through specialized DJ workshops and mentorship sessions, he teaches young artists the true craft of mixing. A true example for them to enter the world of electronic music. Fidelity and devotion. Both master and servant to the music, Cristian Varela’s career is marked by tireless dedication and global reach. His tour schedule spans continents, bringing his sound to audiences around the world. If you’re lucky, you might catch him live in your city — but if not, his radio show on Bloop London Radio is a must-listen. Syndicated across more than 100 specialized techno stations in over 50 countries — from Europe and the U.S. to South America and Asia — it keeps his unmistakable sound pulsing across the globe. As a true techno innovator, Cristian launched Black Codes Experiments in 2003 — a label that quickly established itself as one of the most respected and forward-thinking in the international scene. His music has been also released – many of this also published on 12″ – on labels such as Toolroom Trax, Primate, Materia, Rawness, Backspin, Intec, Dolma and Manita Recordings of course, his own most experimental imprint where heartfelt ‘Luisbro’, dedicated with all his affection and respect to his brother, was released. If we look back at the documentary released years ago (“25 Years of Music and Passion”), many friends participated in it. From Carl Cox, Chris Liebing to Joseph Capriati… And when union truly exists, strength exists. This is why his B2B sessions with renowned “friends” like Marco Bailey or DJ Pepo are so famous. If you have the chance, don’t miss them. Whether behind the decks delivering his iconic “6-Six Vinyl” sets — a mesmerizing journey that connects the roots of techno with its present and future — or in the studio as a producer with a uniquely refined touch, Cristian Varela remains a trusted and trailblazing figure in the global scene. His evolution continues, always driven by a passion for music, the night, and the endless possibilities they hold.
DJ Rush
DJ RUSH draws on his varied taste in music from contemporary Brazilian Jazz, and rare disco to The Beatles to take you on a tour of the deep side of reality, mind and soul through his vision of rhythmic percussive style. Rush gives recordings physical and mindpuzzling energy. The 6'6" giants' open minded attitude to life is: Take me for what I am or don't take me at all. Born in Chicago (USA), he grew up on the South Side and started to party at a very young age, immediately picking up on the fever of the music. He would attend clubs like The Ringzone, Playground, The Candystore and The Music Box. Before he began playing gigs in Chicago, he started making tracks in his bedroom with his friends' sinsonic drums. In Rushs' own words, "It's always important and interesting to make music according to your feelings and experiences" which is exactly what he does with The Energy EP. He likes to play with voices and percussion (his percussion is both wicked and legendary) in his many releases. Throughout the years DJ RUSH has committed himself to the art of rhythm & drums. Born in the big city of Chicago, his music is heard throughout the world, including such famous tunes as Spitball, I Love You, and Mutha Fucking Bass. Although much of Rush's work is used for many mix compilations, some of his most famous moments have come from his live performances. In 1989 Rush had his first residency in a club called the Reactor in Chicago playing 70's disco for a crowd of 800, including 10 hour non-stop sets for party kids. He then continued to play for the famous Medusa club, Power House, Music Box, and Warehouse. Quickly becoming a central figure in Chicago's house scene, Rush's uniqueness and individuality has always been portrayed in his productions and djing. "Not letting the music control me, but letting the music guide me"
DVS1
American techno DJ and producer based in Berlin, known for his massive vinyl collection and hypnotic sets.
DYEN
A fresh breeze on the techno scene, DYEN appeared out of nowhere in 2017 and has since then molded a niched space for himself. Foraying into production at age 17, he got signed to do his debut release two years later. Born and raised in Rotterdam, it’s fair to say that Holland’s number one rave city has had huge impact on the young producer. The oldskool 90’s gabber and primary hardcore influenced him early on in his career and still continues doing so. “Growing up I discovered these incredible kicks, vocals and super-catchy synth lines. I use them, but with more powerful kicks and drops” – listening to DYEN’s releases, these words makes complete sense. He reshapes and interprets the past into something hyper modern, individualistic and raw that he calls “neorave” or “old school hard techno”; relentless punching kicks fighting for space with aggressive stabbing trancey synths; giving way on the dancefloor for something new and distinctive. With over two handfuls of releases under his belt since 2017 via labels such as GENX, EXHALE, Possession and Rave Alert, DYEN is safely cementing his presence in the harder realm of techno. When DJing on the mainstages of important festivals and clubs on a global scale, neo rave and gabber continue being two of his main ingredients. DYEN likes to mix them up with old hardcore and industrial records, teasing and playing with the audience. Building from a “softer” start of 140 bpm and taking it further, pushing himself and the audience, focusing on captivating and translating a purer, exposed and explosive energy. Something he is also making into a trademark are his “DYEN Edits”; sharpening his personal treasures and gems, through his unique gaze he updates and modernizes, turning the tracks into fresh-sounding stomping weapons.
Exos
Hemka
For Hemka, being a DJ and techno producer has been both a thrilling challenge and a natural calling. Her skills behind the decks have earned her spots alongside notable names in Europe, Latin America, and Russia, gracing legendary stages like Tresor, Berghain and Rex Club. From the start, she has stood out with her refined selection, blending the essence of 90s techno with contemporary textures. Her sound is intentionally fast-paced, groovy and subtly psychedelic. On stage, she masterfully translates her producer’s vision into her sets, carefully curating tracks that reflect her mood. She feeds off the crowd’s energy, ensuring their response becomes an integral part of the journey.
Jeff Mills
A founding member of noted Motor City institution Underground Resistance, Mills helped build the artist roster and label ideology (as well as much of its back catalog) with partners "Mad" Mike Banks and Robert "Noise" Hood before moving to New York in 1992 to pursue more vigorously his solo and DJ career (with a resident spot at the legendary Limelight and a recording contract with the noted German label Tresor). (Although rumors of bad blood between the early UR crew have been denied by all involved, Mills' decision to split was apparently total, with Banks all but repudiating his involvement with Mills and Mills distancing himself from the continuing political militancy of Banks and the UR organization.) Mills' UR-related releases (including "The Punisher" and "Seawolf") are stripped-down and erratic, fusing elements of hardcore acid and industrial techno to the sparse Detroit aesthetic. Not surprisingly, his post-UR sound hasn't eased a bit, although UR's penchant for the four-track has been replaced by higher-quality production. Prior to his involvement in UR, Mills was a DJ at Detroit public radio station WDET (he was also studying architecture at the time), spinning everything from Meat Beat Manifesto and Nine Inch Nails to Chicago house and underground Detroit techno. He began producing in the mid-'80s, working with Tony Srock on the project the Final Cut. Mills met Banks through a local garage group Members of the House, who Banks was working with in the late '80s. Mills remixed a track on a Members 12-inch, and his and Banks' shared love for Chicago soul and the harder edge of Detroit techno blossomed into Underground Resistance as a combined business and creative enterprise. The pair, along with Robert Hood, recorded several EPs and singles together, including tracks such as "Waveform," and "Sonic," before Mills defected to New York in 1992 to pursue a residency at the Limelight club and a solo career recording for Tresor and his own label, Axis. Mills' discography includes two full-length volumes of Waveform Transmissions for Tresor, a live album and rarities collection for the British label React, and the first album in a new contract with Sony Japan, as well as a handful of 12-inch EPs on Axis and several collaborations with Robert Hood on his M-Plant label. In 2000, Mills took more memorable action by scoring a new soundtrack for Fritz Lang's 1926 film Metropolis, screened around the world at venues including the Museum of Music in Paris, London's Royal Albert Hall, and the Vienna International Film Festival.

Mark Broom
MARRØN
MARRØN is always trying to exceed the limits of himself and the crowd, with his fast but extremely rhythmic sound driven by his roots. Highly inspired by the powerful and strong-willed Marrons who freed themselves from slavery to live freely in the primeval forest of Surinam. Starting his musical evolution with Afro Deep, characterized by its African beats and used these elements to connect with techno music. The freedom and diversity of techno persuaded him to really dig into the underground scene and create a name of his own. This sound contains African groove and a powerful but atmospheric techno sound with which he aims to hypnotize the crowd to stay on the dancefloor for hours.
Mattias Fridell
Nørbak
Nørbak is a Portuguese techno artist and co-founder of Hayes Collective, known detail-driven sound that bridges classic foundations with modern intensity. With releases on Hayes, Token, and his own NRBK imprint, he has become a regular presence at clubs like Berghain, Basement NY, Lux Frágil, and Gare Porto.
Temudo
As a music producer and DJ, Temudo is part of a new generation of artists whose work relies on the contemporary approach to Techno. His music allies the soul of the genre with a modern methodology, and has the seal of genre defining labels like Klockworks, Soma, Modularz, Mord or Clergy. He’s one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own Mastering Studio: Tema Mastering. The Portuguese João Rodrigues started his alias Temudo in 2014, after a period into the Drum and Bass scene. The Drum and Bass influence can be heard not only on the detailed sound design and low end focus of his music, but also on the energetic and eclectic 3 deck sets he has to offer. Over the last years he saw some of his music being widely played, such as “Tough To Say” or “The Beholder” from the EPs “Unnecessary” and “Not The End But a Change”, both released on Soma, or “Jack and Verge” from the collaborative EP with Nørbak “I Will Guide Thy Hand”, released on Modularz. João describes himself as a nerd for audio processing, composing techniques and solving puzzles in the pursuit of the perfect mix. His background in Jazz, a Degree in Sound and a Master Degree in Music and Technology gave him the tools for the unorthodox experiments he takes in the studio. It is fair to say that Temudo is one the Portuguese Techno main characters.

Pawlowski (UK)
Phara
Phara spins an intricate, contemporary take on techno while never losing touch with the genre's essence. Influenced by the pioneering sounds of Detroit, Berlin and the UK, as well as post-punk, wave, EBM and electro, he makes compelling, highly personal tracks that ooze energy. Having emerged on the international scene with the "Next Of Kin" album on Black Sun Records, further experimentation with a slew of classic hardware synthesizers and outboard effects led to an analog-oriented practice and a selection of EPs that found a home at other blue chip imprints such as Soma,SK Eleven, Stockholm LTD and Planet Rhythm. Eventually his urge to move rapidly spurred the set-up of "Phaaar", the gimmick-free record label that serves as an additional output for his own music. It is clear Phara's production method is informed by the club and vice versa: the groove and power present on his records move and intertwine in the same fluid motion that he taps into as a DJ. He plays vinyl-only sets that navigate an intersection of fast rhythms, industrial atmospheres and dubbed-out pulses, backed by a collection of stone-cold classics. His venturesome spirit, understanding of dancefloor dynamics and pin-accurate mixing skills landed him a well-traveled booking schedule and a resident spot at Fuse, his hometown Brussels' legendary techno venue. In 2022, he ventured into new territory and debuted his live show, taking the Korg EMX-1 - a machine he knows inside and out - from the studio to the main stage. Showing a whole lot can be done with little, these performances adequately represent Phara's approach. The fusion of propulsive drum sequences, detuned chords and rumbling bass he fires from what is arguably his favorite piece of gear indeed both recounts and re-imagines the power of classic techno.
Philippa Pacho

A resident of Laster Club in Madrid, his trajectory has taken him to key dancefloors across Europe and beyond: Awakenings, Stone Festival, Fold, RSO, Tresor, and more. His sets explore the balance between force and depth, where layers of sound intertwine with surgical precision. Tools, textures, and hypnotic pulses shape a constantly shifting terrain. The result is a tense and immersive groove driven by flawless technical control and a sonic intuition that leaves nothing to chance. With recent releases on Klockworks, Mutual Rytm, and Mord, Roll Dann consolidates a sonic identity that feels both grounded and forward-facing. His music doesn’t chase trends. It reinforces a language of tension, groove, and control that speaks directly to the dancefloor.

He's commanded stages at renowned events like Rotterdam Rave, Verknipt, Duro Festival, and Free Your Mind, to name a few, proving his pull in high-stakes settings. Partnering with USH, he's delivered an exclusive special B2B show featuring the hardest kicks the industrial hard techno scene has ever seen, setting new benchmarks for raw power. That momentum carried over to his two-day All-Night-Long event with USH, which sold out both days in under 15 minutes, a clear sign that demand for his sound is exploding. His most hyped track, "The Last Airbender (VIP)," with its iconic "Appa Yip Yip" sound, has gone viral and sent crowds flying at shows worldwide, solidifying his status as a true innovator. As The Kick Dealer eyes world domination, he's building a legacy of long-lasting signature kicks that hit harder than a freight train, practical proof his sound is a scalable force poised to own global stages and playlists. Let's see if the scene can keep pace.
SNTS
Sacred Court / SNTS
Stef Mendesidis
Nerd in grain, Stef sharpened his self-education by diving deep into the analogue essence of sound. Playing on 4 decks and using miscellaneous drum loops of his own production, Stef creates techno on the go, always leaving space for contextual improvisation. In sound production Stef Mendesidis uses a technique of one-take recording, staying loyal to the principle of live techno creation. He possesses a true synesthetic approach transforming his inner feelings, images and ideas into sound patterns. His music is released on such influential labels as Klockworks and Projekts. Nowadays Stef is shaking dancefloors of the most significant techno clubs, and his gigs are always a blast. His shows are a pure reflection of straight-forward outbreaks and never-ending dynamics that provide a genuine one-of-a-kind experience to passionate ravers. Known by his long-lasting closing sets, Stef can play up to 10 hours in a row and still preserve the maximum interest of a listener. His highly energetic sets are able to immediately make the dancefloor look like it’s midnight prime time.
Stojche
Musical trends may fluctuate over time, but some artists remain pillars unscathed by the change in the tides. One such artist is undoubtedly Stojche Cvetanovski. Native of Skopje, Macedonia, he established himself as a notable undeground techno figure. The vibrant scene and the expansion of the Motor City sounds in the Macedonian capital, triggered him to explore his own path in his futuristic music phenomenon called Techno. After a decade devoted to djing, he shifted to producing, and in 2009 he co-founded “Argumento Music”. Stojche is one of the names on the European circuit that broke through by array of contributions to labels like A.r.t.less, Syncrophone, Fuse Brussels, Conform, Mutual Rytm, alongside many others. In 2011 he launched hissolo imprint “Tangible Assets”. An outlet that has given him the freedom to explore and refine his trademark Detroit – schooled dubbed out productions. “Tangible Assets” reflects a personal statement with emphasized appreciation for the history of techno music. His "Minor-scale funk" sound signature, assembled a discographic résumé that passed the test of time. He is consistent in pushing forward the timeless envelope of the “hi-tech soul” legacy. In contrast, as a dj that is deep in harmony with the roots of techno, electro or dub, he exudes the kind of tact that speaks nothing but the truth. Whether you find him in the basement of Tresor or Berghain, his dj sets providefurther evidence of many years spent behind the turntables, resulting in pounding yet dynamic journeys with a dose of emotional content. His constant pursuit for inspiration sits balanced with the pulse of the city life, and isworking tirelessly without fanfare to enrich a scene that sits close to his heart. Locked away in his studio in Madrid where passion and process all catalyze into waveforms of intense voyages, executed by a man who is well in tune with his craft.
Deetron
Deetron is a Swiss techno DJ and producer who produces warm techno with the soul of Detroit. He has released on labels such as Intec, Music Man and Ongaku.
The Advent
London based Cisco Ferreira, or ‘The Advent’, can be described in many ways: a musician, a pioneer, a sound designer, a steady force, one persistent m*therf*cker, a rebel, an icon, an outsider, a great live artist... Mostly though, The Advent is known for his interpretation of what we call Techno. Ever since young Portuguese Cisco discovered Acid House in the London clubs he frequented, his journey has been about making his mark on the electronic music scene. Or, as he recently put it himself: “I’ve been doing this for quite a few years and I’m not going anywhere.” This sums it up pretty well; you won’t see Ferreira naked, shooting promo videos carrying a dog, or hear him publically worrying about the sincerity of the average EDM jockey. He’s everything about techno you’ve learned to love, without the circus you’ve learned to accept. Fresh out of college, Cisco’s hunger for sound landed him a job as assistant sound-engineer in several recording studios. There he learned about the art of translating feelings to frequencies, while at the same time recording various high profile artists from the world of Rock, Pop, Dance, and Reggae. When acid label ‘Jack Trax’ moved in next-door, Cisco started recording for the likes of Adonis, Fingers Inc, Marshall Jefferson, and Derrick May. These rendezvous sparked the inspiration for his first EPs on R&S and Fragile. In 1994 Ferreira signed a record deal for 12 EPs and 3 albums together with Colin McBean. This was the beginning of an era during which the duo set a worldwide standard for high quality underground Electro and Techno. They hit the world with a refreshing sound, both as The Advent, and ‘G Flame (Cisco) and Mr G’, the alias Colin is still using. Nowadays The Advent is a solo project, bombarding crowds around the world with its trademark raw, energetic sound. A sound that grants him yearly slots at festivals as Nature One, Awakenings and Bonusz, as well as regular shows in clubs as Berghain and Tresor in Berlin, Lehmann in Stuttgart, and Madrid’s Fabrik. He hasn’t given up cooperating with likeminded artists though! In 2007 he met Ricardo Rodrigues aka Industrialyzer, in whom he recognised an attitude similar to his own. They are both from Portugal, both self-made, and the both have a clear vision of what techno should sound like. As a duo they’re at least as popular as they are as individual artists, playing sold out shows wherever they go, and steadily creating an impressive combined oeuvre.
The Lady Machine
Based on a more complex structure of rhythms with dark underground lines of synths and textures, The Lady-Machine incorporates the spirit of the twenty first century Techno.
Tommy Four Seven
Boundary-defying British artist Tommy Four Seven has been a respected visionary in the international techno scene for two decades. Since launching to global notoriety, he has continued to be an in-demand selector and producer known for his ability to capture the dance floor with a palette of dynamic sounds and rhythms. As accomplished in the studio as he is behind the decks, Tommy has built an extensive discography that's grown in parallel with his touring career. His critically acclaimed debut LP, Primate, imaginatively fused off-kilter rhythms with four-to-the-floor minimalism, while his follow-up album, Veer, excavated even more daring and driving techno-adjacent territory. In 2023, Tommy’s solo EP, 47039, further honed his tight, technical and highly nuanced palette in a collection that alchemizes rolling techno and adventurous broken beat. 47, Tommy’s own imprint, is responsible for some of the most innovative techno in the scene today. Its recent 2.0 relaunch has cemented his singular stylistic approach and has showcased up-and-coming artists like Quelza, Tauceti and VSK, who stand for the sleek and sophisticated aesthetic that Tommy threads through his own mixes and productions. Not just a label, 47 is also a platform for live events that takes Tommy’s musical vision around the world with a series of finely tuned live events. An authentic and ever-evolving tastemaker, Tommy’s keen curation remains as sharp as ever. As he prepares to mark 2025 with a special release, it’s certain Tommy will stay at the scene's forefront, powered by his relentless passion for dance music and his acutely discerning ear.
