Thursday 11 June Club Yeke returns to one of our favourite independent spaces in London with a lineup of our dreams
A one-off evening of sounds and scenes from across the globe, enmeshed in hypnotic, high-tempo territory linking Mali to Brazil via Algeria and Jamaica
Heading up things is DJ Diaki, one of the key figures behind Mali’s Balani Show movement and longtime Nyege Nyege affiliate. Emerging from street parties and social ceremonies outside Bamako, Diaki’s sets pull together rapid-fire balafon loops, blown-out percussion and live remixes that push traditional sounds into club-ready weapons unlike anything you’ve ever heard
A local hero - London via Marseille’s Living Gatlato moves fluidly through underground rap, BR funk, bouyon and dancehall with the kind of ease that only comes from deep digging.
Vinnau is flying in from Brasilia, representing Brazilian Funk to the fullest - connecting the dots between its history and current ever expanding mutations
Joining them is Yeke founder Tash LC, whose sets and ear for curation have consistently mapped out new connections across Afro-Caribbean, Latin American and UK club sounds.

She blends traditional Afro-diasporic sounds such as Soukous and Merengue with Kuduro, Soca, and cutting-edge percussive club rhythms, from across the Caribbean, Africa and Latin America. A long-standing NTS Radio resident, Tash explores the global underground, hosting conversations with diverse guests from across the World. Career highlights include BBC 1Xtra, Kiss FM and Worldwide FM residencies, as well as packed-out shows at Warehouse Project, Glastonbury, and Boomtown. Founder of Club Yeke, a record label and club night spotlighting music from the Global South, Tash’s passion lies in collaborating with and platforming artists from the Global South diaspora. Recently selected for Annie Nightingale’s Pioneers, honouring women and gender minorities in radio, Tash also recently headlined her first sold-out Selecta tour across Cardiff, Bristol, London, and Manchester. With the endorsement of some of dance music’s most influential tastemakers, combined with her unique ability to command dance floors, Tash LC continues to shine as one of the UK’s most exciting talents.
