Kendal
Spotted by David Vunk, Kendal's career began with his first EP "Manifesto"(Moustache, 2019), which quickly gained the attention of established artists such as Jennifer Cardini who released his widely acclaimed second effort ‘Inferno’ (Dischi Autunno, 2020). This recognition led him to become a significant player in the Italo scene and beyond, playing his first live act at Panorama Bar and touring weekly across Europe. Proudly based in Toulouse, he founded in 2020 with longtime friend Paul Guglielmi his own label : Ritmo Fatale. Love child of morodesque-italo-disco and 80's EBM, constant purveyor of neo-italo anthems, the imprint is at the forefront of the scene across the world. Through Ritmo Fatale they discover and promote new artists such as Mouissie, Cate Hortl, Amarcord, Alen Skanner and Louis de Tomaso. Kendal has also an ongoing collaboration with sidekick Pablo Bozzi on the INFRAVISION project, which has been praised for its unique sound and signature style of "Italo Body Music." Their debut album "Illegal Future" (Fleisch, 2021) has received critical acclaim, followed by remarkable performances on stage, including an impressive Boiler Room set in Poland. Kendal’s ability to blend different genres and create a unique sound that speaks to both the past and the future makes him one to watch.
Andi
Electric is the only way to describe Andi’s sets. The NYC-based DJ and producer constructs a dynamic and intoxicating flow always palpable between the walls of the foggy, neon-lit dancefloor. Parts sleaze and sultry, Andi’s aesthetic is body music based, thriving on the delivery of the groove and the bombastic highs of a track’s apex. As a devotee of distinct sounds such as EBM, new beat, Italo, and freestyle—with hints of housey 90s elements—her sets reflect her deep vinyl collection: diverse, yet focused, and completely one-of-a-kind. She has most recently been called upon to DJ at Panorama Bar, Montreux Jazz Festival, Fold London, and Ombra Festival. Her own productions aim to challenge the expectations within the confines of traditionally masculine dance genres. With bassline-heavy grooves and a conceptual emphasis on storytelling with samples taken from long-forgotten erotic thrillers and seedy sci-fi films, Andi adds a wry yet delicate touch to machine music. Andi released Corpse to Corpus in 2020 and Compelling Evidence in 2023 on aufnahme + wiedergabe, as well as the Torque Force split EP with Randolph & Mortimer on Mecanica Records in 2021. Additionally, her collaborative electro-industrial project, Andi + Machino, released the Parafernales EP on Mannequin Records in 2023, and her track with Randolph & Mortimer is featured on Curses’ Next Wave Acid Punx Deux compilation. Most recently, she contributed a track to Dischi Autunno's Intermezzo Tre compilation with the track "End Program." As the boss of SYNTHICIDE—the internationally known party, label and event series—Andi has cultivated the dark underground scene for over a decade in Brooklyn. SYNTHICIDE started at the notorious club in Bushwick, Bossa Nova Civic Club, where the party still holds a monthly residency. Additionally, Andi is a resident at The Lot Radio, NYC’s new hot spot Gabriela, and is a member of the ItaloMatic crew.
