BRONX Sauna I Techno Bunker I Techno Woodstock Celebrates 35 Years of Raving

35 years ago BRONX was still just a dodgy 24-hour Gay videoporn cinema next to biker clubs, industrial garages and general bad decisions.

Long before algorithms started deciding what underground culture should look like.

Back in 1991 Bronx / Space Ravers threw Techno woodstock in a sports/industrial hall in Kallhäll. One of the first bigger rave parties around Stockholm.

Same summer Bronx also arranged an open air at Erstaviksbadet with rented local buses transporting ravers into the woods like some low-budget psychedelic school trip. The local newspaper later wrote: “They played the same record all night long.” Which honestly sounds exactly like acid house done properly.

No internet. No influencers. No VIP tables.

Just photocopied flyers, answering machines, smoke machines, questionable sleep schedules and a stubborn belief that a 303 could probably save humanity.
