Ark Welders Guild (Deadbeat & Elle Kai), Monty Luke pres. Mandingo Sound System, Isabassi & Uta

Ark Welders Guild is the audio-visual performance and recording project of singer and art curator Letizia Trussi and musician Scott Monteith, best known by his stage name Deadbeat.

The duo weave a complex web of poly-rhythmic audio-visual psychedelia spanning diverse genres and tempos. Expect abstract ambient scapes, sidewinder bass accompanied by pioneering visual nourishment.

Monty Luke joins to present his Mandingo Sound System project. Known for his deep, eclectic selections, warm grooves, and energy behind the decks, Monty crafts sets that move effortlessly between classic influences and forward-thinking sounds.

For this appearance at OHM, Monty will be exploring the more dub-facing side of his repertoire, a thread that already runs deep throughout his productions and DJ sets. This facet of his sound is perhaps best exemplified by his recent work on Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint, where his album Nightdubbing earned acclaim for its richly textured, dubwise productions.

Opening the night will be a collaboration between UTA & Isabassi. The merging of UTA’s huge knowledge & contributions to the underground in Berlin and beyond, paired with Isabassi’s experimental approach to sound collaging, re-sampling, granular synthesis, textured sound design, and intricate drum programming, promises an opening set not to miss.

Closing out affairs will be KƏYK curator Escapverte, joined by the founder of the London deep techno / ambient party Rebloom, JJ. Together the pair plan to present a warm, cleansing, pumping closing set to send the listener out into a blissful summers morning.

Throughout the night Ground Tactics will be present on the floor, offering light body activations with tunings forks, for anyone who needs a grounding
