Mind Against

Their gift for creating emotion through the synths and percussive instruments in their studio translates uniquely onto the dancefloor, where their slick, moving take on techno makes for a special kind of peak in the club. They draw from the psychedelic hooks of 1980s soundtracks and from modern dance music’s emphasis on sound design to create a distinctive and immensely powerful sound. In 2012 they recorded and released their first single ‘Cagliostro’ on breakthrough label Life and Death, following that up by essential collaborations with Tale Of Us and Somne for the same label and compilation appearances on Sven Vath’s Cocoon and Recondite’s label Plangent. Through a string of remixes, Mind Against leant their touch to the work of, amongst others, Art Department, Róisín Murphy and Green Velvet. More recently also for SHDW & Obscure Shape and Hakimonu, inspiring a remix EP of the latter’s “Insular Realms” through a masterstroke club edit. All the while, they have become consumate and globally in-demand DJs, dazzling at many of electronic music’s leading clubs and festivals. Their understanding of each other plays out in the dynamism of their joint DJ sets, where a refined selection and intricate mixing forms a journey like no other. Case in point: their revered Essential Mix from 2016. Mind Against’s discography has grown with standout releases for Tale Of Us’ Afterlife label and Scuba’s Hotflush, including further collaborations with Locked Groove and Aether. In 2018, they will return to the Afterlife label with a new EP and continue enchant the crowds they play for.

Woo York

Since their first release in 2009, the Ukrainian duo Woo York has evolved from underground origins, honing their craft with performances in iconic clubs like Tresor and Berghain, to become an internationally recognized globally in-demand artists who made it to the prestigious “TOP 40 Live Acts” on Resident Advisor. Setting themselves apart from conventional DJs, Woo York takes to the stage armed with synthesizers and drum machines, delivering electrifying performances fueled exclusively by their own productions. Their music pushes the boundaries of techno by seamlessly weaving captivating trance melodies with the infectious signature groove, crafting a sound that is unmistakably their own. Woo York’s journey from the underground scene to the forefront of the industry was marked by exclusive vinyl releases on highly respected labels ranging from niche stalwarts like Soma, Semantica, and Dystopian to the most renowned and celebrated imprints like Afterlife, Innervisions, and Drumcode. Within these diverse landscapes, they unveiled a multitude of successful EPs, singles, and their debut full-length album “Chasing the Dream”, released on Afterlife - a groundbreaking achievement that soared to the 1st place of Beatport's release chart, securing the number one position and solidifying their legacy as trailblazers of an era when melodic techno was yet to be defined as a genre.

8KAYS

8Kays is an artistic project founded in 2014 by Iryna Shvydka, the Ukrainian sound-producer, and live act. Striving for the freedom of bringing the experiments into the sound, 8Kays is a space, where she could have her room for the sound realization. When it comes to music, you’ll hear the call of the soul straight from 8Kays inner dimension. Her intriguing and undeniably particular sound has been the reflection of the artistic mind, full of authenticity and depth. Hailing from Ukraine’s capital Kyiv city, Iryna Shvydka aka 8Kays has focused on producing as the vital and essential part of her human being. 8Kays' current touring schedule includes reputable festivals and club shows, such as Tomorrowland (Belgium), OffWeek (Spain), EDC (USA), Printworks (UK), Watergate (Germany), De Marktkantine (Netherlands), SOHO (UAE), and many more spots around the globe. Her ‘Morning After The Rave’ track released on Afterlife has hit hundreds of festivals and intimate club shows, setting a high claimed sound level for 8Kays as the one to follow. There are certainly no borders in 8Kays sound if there is an attempt arising to describe it, though remaining at the point to keep the balance between melodic influence and the eager passion to the intense groove, Ira does what she can do the best - pleasing the audience with sounds. Constantly seeking and developing herself as an artist, 8Kays is solidly set to present the music, which will leave its due memory for the years and decades ahead.
