Another Place — Palestine Fundraiser

June is known for orchestral dancefloor maneuvers in Alentejo, which contribute to a mass pilgrimage of ravers & diggers to this corner of the globe — allowing us to build the line-up we’re presenting here for the next Another Place gathering, which will happen on Saturday, June 27th at Desterro, as a fundraiser for Palestinian families.

Deep and delicate tones will sound through our bunker, layered with tribal rhythms and dreamy moods, always accompanied by psychedelia. (Un)familiar tracks you can’t shazam, but give you a sense of belonging. We will also continue to pursue the goal of immersion, this time with a light installation. The amazing poster art was done by our team Alena Koleso & Dora Sidorenko.

The night begins with Between’s former resident and cofounder Ozmin, who will join our own Paixão for a slowburner b2b; followed by Ankali club regular Takenaga, who will spice up the trip cauldron.

Hailing from Barreiro, Dr. Bruits joins us for yet another special live set, this time focused on a tribalistic dub approach — the night’s curveball into deeper psychedelic realms. Ella Pavel will add depth to these weirdly-shaped soundscapes — a familiar face operating the lights at Waking Life, Horst Festival, and Spell events — as a DJ, she’ll work as the mood-setter for what’s to come…

To conclude, local sorceress Nova Retra returns to join Belgian digging powerhouse Kuba'97. Together, they will bring in their mysteries and mysticisms for a mind-expanding b2b. Three hours of the best you can get out of these wax circle thingies we call vinyl, guaranteed.

All the donations taken at the door will be distributed to families in 𝔾𝟜ℤ𝔸 through the help of Joana Ferro and Simone Silva, who keep regular contact and support with families affected by the occupation.
