Lineup
Annebel
Tilburg-based DJ and producer Annebel aims to push the boundaries of her sound by layering harmonies and rhythms into new soundscapes when mixing her broad taste in music together into an energetic whole. Her sets are characterized by her energetic and genre-fluid approach to mixing, merging high-energy rave, leftfield techno, and UK-inspired breaks, bass, dubstep, and jungle into mixes that feel roused but consistent. This has earned her a residency at Operator Radio with her show copy copy, as well as sets at Draaimolen x Sustain-Release, POING, KABUL à GoGo, kanaal40, De School (Sound Sessions), Radion and Perron. She is also a member of the notorious Rooibosch collective in Brabant, known for their eclectic and warm-hearted raves in the South of the Netherlands. Whether it is through DJ-ing or her ongoing projects in researching newness in music, she is always looking for little moments of friction and ambiguity, with a fascination for the grey areas between utopia and dystopia, and for finding futurism in melancholia. In her DJ sets, this translates to a balance between tense rhythms and sounds and immersive moments of release. Whether it is through a downtempo opening or a high-energy closing, she aims to hold you by the hand to explore new melodies, rhythms, and genres, in mixes in which she remains well-adjusted to her environment while always staying grounded in her recognizable style.
Darwin
Peder Mannerfelt
From obtuse angles to intense physicality, Peder Mannerfelt’s highly individual take on techno demands attention and consideration. While his many-sided body of work reaches back more than a decade, the Swedish producer’s current investigations in the field of experimental dance music are as prolific as they are unpredictable. After a series of albums as Roll The Dice alongside Malcolm Pardon, he lent his production skills to Fever Ray’s acclaimed debut album and 2017’s Plunge and is currently busy exploring a new strain of techno-pop together with Pär Grindvik as Aasthma. Working under his own name Mannerfelt’s sonic imprint can be most acutely felt. Accompanying appearances on Voam, Hinge Finger, Numbers and more, he established his own label Peder Mannerfelt Produktions to carry the bulk of his output, and that of kindred spirits such as Klara Lewis, Code Walk and Sissel Wincent. Peder Mannerfelt music is always rooted in the kinetic energy of techno even as it seeks to break down the genre’s rigid, illusory formulae.
