Fergus Murphy

Fergus Murphy (IRE/DK) Fergus Murphy has been deeply involved in the local music and club scene in Denmark for over 20 years, Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, he cut his teeth on the bubbling Dublin club scene of the 90s before moving to Copenhagen, where he now hosts and plays at a number of events, including the long-running lightsdownlow, and All-Dayer every first Sunday of the month. As a long-time music lover, collector and DJ, it’s all about the music and the moment when it comes to playing. Fergus’ sets present a vibrant take on new and old music from all around the world, blending the soul of the old with the new, crossing genres and styles and diving into musical wormholes.

Daniel Kaarill

Daniel Kaarill has been moving through countless dance floors and various genres of music, since the late 1990s. From house to techno, and back again, through everything from experimental electronica to bass music. Today he spans deep house, broken beat, dub, jazz, soul, boogie, as well as West-African syles like afrobeat, highlife, and much more – always with an emphasis on soul – and always strictly on vinyl. Regardless of the genre, he builds up his set consequently while managing to surprise his audience with forgotten tracks and new sounds – crate digging is a passion. In 2003 Daniel Kaarill started collaborating with personal friend Mikkel Sörensen about the club project ”Zerrbild”, which became a well-known part of the Copenhagen underground scene and ran for the following six years. Inspired by the electronic scene in Berlin, the two agreed to do something about local nightlife. After a hectic summer in 2004, with among other things, some very successful pre-parties at Café Riga, they took an active part in building up the nightclub ”Culture Box” – both physically and artistically. By early 2005 Zerrbild started mixing the great underground cocktail of present and future talents from Berlin, Cologne, and Copenhagen at the venue. They presented names such as Burger/Voigt, DJ Koze, Superpitcher, Dominik Eulberg, Misc., Ada, Dapayk, Tigerskin, Sweet n Candy, Format: B, Ark, Cabanne, Jay Haze, Sammy Dee, Joachim Speith, and many more. They also developed a close collaboration with several Danish and international labels, for instance, Kompakt Schallplatten in Cologne, Mo's Ferry Prod. and Opossum Recordings in Berlin. For a decade Daniel was spinning at Culture Box in Copenhagen. He also held a residency at the small club Nadsat, and played at places like Jolene, H15, Søhesten, Blågaards Apotek, Dunkel, TS and Lab; larger venues such as Den Grå Hal, Werkstatt 167 and Turbinehallerne; various outdoor events and local festivals; and also classic Copenhagen spots: Joy, Rannør, Le Petit Vinbar, Ørsted, Bird, Café Riga, Zum Biergarten, Gilt, and many more. He has visited Danish National Radio P3, as well as various local stations, and has been appearing as a regular guest at TweakFM underground radio since 2004. Daniel managed Culture Box until 2017 and has also promoted the Echocord record label, as well as parties and various other local projects. In 2017 he joined forces with Steen 'Kong' Mogensen, legendary Copenhagen DJ and founder of the Mantra nightclub. Together they rebooted Multiplex, a Danish record label originally founded by Cai Bojsen-Møller and Kong, which put out releases from 1995 until '98. Two decades later the imprint once again started producing vinyl releases with Daniel and Steen at the wheel. Since late 2022, Daniel has been doing regular events again as one third of Copenhagen's All-Dayer crew. The All-Dayer is a cozy, audiophile, 12 hour session running from midday to midnight on the first Sunday of every month at H15 Studio, first conceived by Brian Williamson and Fergus Furphy, originally from Glasgow and Dublin respectively. The three are joined by guest selectors and the occasional live act, playing jazz, soul, afro, latin and beyond... Daniel Kaarill has played as support for artists like: Burger/Voigt, DJ Koze, Michael Mayer, Superpitcher, Dominik Eulberg, Misc., Justus Köhncke, The Field, Tobias Thomas, The Modernist, Kaito, Benno Blome, Ada, Cosmic DJ, Trentemøller, Bicep, Julio Bashmore, Tim Exile, Sieg über Die Sonne, Junction SM, Dub Taylor, Ben Klock, Mike Huckaby, Substance, Vainqueur, Deadbeat, Sammy Dee, Format:B, Sweet n Candy, Jay Haze, Copacabannark, Hervé AK, Francisco Allendes, Joachim Spieth, Dapayk, From Karaoke To Stardom, Marcel Knopf, Ivan Smagghe, Freestyle Man, Björn Stolpmann, Agnés, Anders Ilar, The Fix, Shatter Hands, Abdullah S, I Am An Instrument, Jiyu and many more...
