About this event
Key Vinyl founder, Freddy K and Male Junta resident D.Dan join forces to curate a summer party at The Cause on June 13th, starting during the day in the sunshine, before heading indoors to carry on into the night.
They’ll both play solo, as well as a b2b set, joined by a cast of techno heavyweights taking control across 3 floors.
Lineup
D.Dan
Berlin-based American DJ and producer known for his fast, psychedelic, and percussive techno.
Freddy K
Italian DJ and producer known for dark, raw, and relentless techno.
Alba Heidari
Growing up in Madrid, where she garnered her DJing experience, Alba Heidari has consistently sought to explore a range of different genres. With a comprehensive knowledge of drum n bass, breaks, hardcore, hardtek, electro, and even gothic industrial, she defined her technical prowess and discovered the raw industrial techno that pulls together her versatile sound. Whether she is utilising vinyl or digital sources for her blistering DJ sets, Alba’s uncanny mix of punishing and playful has made her a growing staple at parties in Spain and in London, including a residency at Aria. She formed the collective "D.T.V" (Decoding The Void) with frequent collaborator Manson X to further sharpen their skills and bring theirs and other artists’ music to a broader audience. Alba’s bold sound stands in sharp contrast with her modest character. Her passion for finding unknown, local, and underrated releases benefits the underground dance music community at large while the original tracks charge her DJ sets with a unique energy that defies mainstream trends.
DJ Nobu
Japanese techno DJ and producer, founder of the Bitta label and the Future Terror parties.
JakoJako
Primarily a live performer, JakoJako makes extensive use of modular synthesis in her productions and on stage. ”Depending on how you configure your system, you can design a completely different instrument every time. I love when it’s surprising me.” When not in the studio, her expertise is put to use advising well-established artists on their own systems at Berlin’s synth-mecca SchneidersLaden.
Philippa Pacho
Frequently promoting an intense journey of groove and force. Pacho's early beginnings took place in the illegal party scene in Stockholm and have since carried her far and wide, playing at renowned clubs such as Bassiani, De School and Berghain.
Rene Wise
UK techno producer known for deeply hypnotic, rolling, and highly functional groove-focused techno.
Tasha
Runs Neighbourhood record label & techno party... Presenter on Rinse FM... Played alongside Ben Sims, Randomer, Helena Hauff, Ben UFO, Pangaea, Karenn, Henning Baer...
Voicedrone
Lasha Jorjoliani is an often-unreadable enigma, lending much of his time to his studio, curating line-ups and sharpening his performances in the booth. Although an undeniable figurehead of the scene, Voicedrone is by no means explicitly tied to co-founding FOLD. Four years on, Lasha is in an indestructible one-way lane, having developed a graphic, dynamic sound that we come together to experience. At his core is a passion to create and nurture community; this purpose is channelled into every event he plays - here at home, in Europe and beyond. Playing at influential venues and parties including his beloved HTBX London has preserved his significance in the underground scene and his constant admiration from the FOLD family. The phrase “leading by example” may be somewhat overused, but in the case of Voicedrone, such a statement is entirely appropriate.
James Newmarch
One of the minds behind the infamous FOLD in East London. Heading up the technical operation of the venue and holding down the fort as one of the in house resident DJs.
